Why revive ring bell to recharge. Only wish sales associate had recommended. Purchased later at advance if installer. Best Buy wanted to charge so I got someone else to install.

Okay but not worth the price for what it does.

Not a whole lot of extended time between charges even with direct sunlight for most of the day. For the price it should have done better.

The accessory is designed to provide a trickle charge to the battery when the panels at the top receive direct sunlight. If your doorbell experiences excessive activity, the trickle charge may not be able to increase the battery life rather just maintain it. The more events captured by your Ring Doorbell 3, the more your battery is used to power the live 1080p HD video stream to your device. Even if you do not answer the call, video is still sent from your Ring product to the Ring servers. In addition, the battery is also drained each time you use the live view to look or speak through your camera. To extend the battery life, you can adjust your motion settings to a lower sensitivity, disable certain zones, or change the motion frequency.
