most inexpensive coffee makers do what they need to these days. This one is no exception. makes a pot quickly. Has STRONG selector. Needs no paper filters. Worth the $.

This coffee maker is inexpensive, easy to use, and can make an incredibly fast pot of coffee if you don't want it to taste like anything. My wife and I don't like strong coffee, but you need to use the "Strong Brew" setting to make what we would consider a normal cup of coffee. Even with that setting on, it still brews in a reasonable amount of time, and it's very easy to use. Another plus is that the carafe can pour like you mean business, which is unlike most of the Cuisinart carafes we've used in the past that spill all over themselves if you don't trickle it into your cup. That's infuriating when one is trying to mainline caffeine first thing in the morning, and this pot allows for it!

Great basic drip coffee maker. Works as described. I haven't tried the strong function as the regular mode matches my taste. I believe the strong function just drips the water more slowly, which might also make the taste more bitter. I ended up using the paper filters on top of the reusable filter to make dumping the grounds easier. I turn off my maker when the coffee is brewed to retain flavor. I like the fact that it makes a beep once its warmed up after I've turned it back on again.

I like the simplicity of the Coffee Machine it makes great Coffee. Its set up to make the coffee at anytime can be prescheduled to make it in the morning.

So far so good, make a good cup of joe.. I took the filter out and i a m using the paper type as its makes less of a mess.
