    About time

Replaced my 9 year old 12 cup Mr Coffee non-programmable due to a half price sale at BestBuy. The swing out coffee filter holder is easy to access, most models load from the top now a days. This basket locks in place, my past model opened by accident more then once. This filter holder needs a larger top hole to remove it quicker. I enlarged mine as another reviewer suggested, and corrected that design mistake before enjoying my first cup. That cup, with added cold milk and sugar was too hot to drink right away. The clock is needed for timer usage but a joke otherwise, too small and not lite as reported by others. Is 900 watts so 2 real size coffee cups, 6 per water gage, takes 6 minutes. My old Mr Coffee was 1100 watts, had thicker plastic, and ran quicker. Ordered Friday, home delivered Tuesday, thanks UPS ! I would suggest buying this over the one switch, non programmable model. I might use that timer some day. And the one button model has a top load coffee filter basket. KCinLA

I don't like these types of reviews - especially the negative ones since often berate the product for the owners' errors or ignorance. Most often there are a number of negative reviews that are clearly the result of someone who did not read the owner's manual. In the case of this coffee maker, some negative reports even appear to be the result of them not cleaning the coffee maker correctly before the first use (including one that references the corrosion). Other examples include: This coffee maker shuts off automatically after 2 hours for safety) - NO coffee maker will keep coffee warm when it is off; the clock is as accurate as the power line frequency (accurate to within less than a second / month); this product has a decanter (not a carafe); over pouring any spout will make a mess (re: chemistry 101 lab); using the specified filters (or others that actually fit) prevents grounds from getting in the coffee as well as problems with the drip mechanism when clogged with grounds. Reviews like this are difficult to weigh until after you make the purchase yourself. I included the above to assist others in weighing the reviews entered by others. I would have simply pointed those interested to read the online owner’s manual, but the Mr. Coffee does not make them available online. There are those selling scanned copies of the manuals, but there is no guarantee that they will match the current version of this product. This coffee maker was clearly designed to cost. It does not have sound deadening so you can hear it work. It is not loud, but you can hear it. The materials are light (i.e., thin), but will be durable with little effort on the part of the owner. It is NOT overbuilt, but at this price no one should expect that it would be. It was clearly a real bargain when evaluated realistically.

We've had expensive coffeemaker but this Mr. Coffee is all we need to make a nice cup of coffee. It is basic but also has a clock and programming capabilities. The only drawback that we saw was no filter basket included. Fortunately we had saved one so it didn't require a purchase. Even if this coffeemaker doesn't last that long, we will most likely buy it again. The price at Best Buy was unbelievably good. And fast delivery.

Seems to be a good coffee maker. Easy to use. I don't program it, I even unplug it when not in use. I set it up to brew with coffee and water, leave it unplugged and in the morning plug it in and turn it on. When done brewing , unplug it. Works great and I eliminate any electric mishaps. I do this with almost all my small appliances. Only problem, the basket is hard to remove because the hole into which the pin on the basket goes, it to small. Others have stated this. Maybe a little veg oil or a another suggested, drill out the hole, just a little. I can be very annoying, but seems an easy fix, hence the 4 stars.

We really like this coffee brewer, we replaced a Hamilton Beach product for this one (the hamilton Beach coffee maker is now in my husbands shop) we like that you cab pour mid brew but I do not like that the basket is not removeable to through away the used coffee grounds, you have to remove the filter with the grounds and walk it to the trashcan so needless to say we have had several leaks which I don't like at all. Overall a great product but we drink alot of coffee so they never actually dry up before we brew another pot so leaks happen quite often

This coffee maker is amazing! My family has been needing a new one, so we decided to get this one because of the price. The best part of this machine is that it will automatically turn off after two hours, which is nice because its an appliance that can be forgotten. Another amazing part, is that it can be turned on at a certain time, so coffee can be ready for a tiring morning. The only downside to this machine is that when the beans need to be discarded, the tray can be a hassle to get out. I feel that it might break over many hours of use, which is not very comforting. Otherwise, I thoroughly recommend this machine.

This is a good coffee maker for the price. It makes coffee quickly and it tastes good. Overall, this a good coffee maker, and it is easy to use. I've had it for 2 months now with no problems. The only thing I don't like is the basket. The basket is removable, but it is hard to remove and reinstall. I also don't like that the basket swings out, but that is not a big issue. What I like is that is has a big opening for the reservoir, which makes it easy to pour the water in, and it has a large window in the front to see how much water is added. I paid $14.99 for this coffee maker, and I would recommend it for that price.

Great coffee maker!! I had a black and decker programmable coffee maker that broke just 2 months after I purchased it. I researched and read reviews about coffee makers and found that a lot of java lovers recommend the Mr. Coffee brand for an inexpensive, yet reliable coffee maker. I agree, they are right! I've owned several coffee makers, most of which were inexpensive, but my Mr. Coffee is the best so far. It's set to brew my coffee at 6:00am every morning and it never fails to do so. The coffee brews quickly and it's always hot. I can pour a cup while it's still brewing, and I find it fairly easy to clean. I would definitely recommend this to anyone on a budget, but wanting to wake up to a hot pot of coffee waiting for them!

I bought it for less than $20 during clearance, and didn't expect , to be honest, better product than what i have received. It is a programmable version, and keeps your coffee hot for 2 hours. Though, it would have been much better if it had a siren/whistle option once its done with the brewing. Note: Filter is not included with the product, so make sure to buy a separate one (or reusable paper one's). Overall, an excellent buy for the price..

I am VERY happy with this purchase. Other than making a great cup of HOT coffee, it is EASY TO CLEAN, it has ALL the features you need,(auto shut off, programmable...), it is also the perfect size(it fits in upper kitchen cabinet...12" deep), the filter basket pops right out for easy cleaning, the carafe DOSEN'T drip or dribble...it's pretty much perfect! Having to push the power button twice to turn it off does not bother me, because I actually LOVE EVERYTHING else about it. P.S. I got it on sale, delivered for FREE(VERY quickly), all for under $20.00...but it's well worth full price!

Good quality, programmable, nice looking, good price. Cons: The basket has to be removed to dump the used grounds unless you can lift everything out without a mess, which is hard for me. It will also pinch your finger where the lid meets the handle, so be careful!

This coffee maker replaced a similar older Mr. Coffee model that was about 12-14 years old. The swing-out filter basket used on this model is a hard feature to find nowadays, but it seems more durable than the other styles currently offered. We actually bought a more expensive model, and the reviews were so bad we never even took it out of the box. The digital clock is harder to read than my older model. I also enlarged the top pivot hole for the filter basket slightly to facilitate easier removal. This is probably the best $30 coffee maker out there.

Makes great coffee without much hassle. Removable basket is super, since it cleans up quickly. Timer was easy to set up. The shutoff valve is great, so you can get a quick cup before brewing is complete. Easy to fill water canister. What is really great is the 2 hour shutoff if you leave the coffee pot on the burner. This keeps the coffee hot enough and shuts it off if you forget. Some people have complained about the glass pot that it drips, but if you open the lid or pour slower then dripping is not a problem.

A coffeemaker is a simple product, and this one does it's job perfectly fine. Like many things, the value here, and final review, will be determined by its durability - which, of course, I can't speak to now, since I've only used it a few times. :) Fingers crossed, but so far, so good!

Mr Coffee coffee pot has been around for a long time and it just shows how dependable this brand is. I love that you can set it for when you get up in the morning and coffee is ready. No waiting around for it to be finished. The deal of the day price was great, along w/being able to use my $5 in rewards to go with it.

Basic Mr. Coffee brewer with timer. Seems to be much the same as previous coffee makers but with a few cosmetic changes. Easy to find filters and it works. Hopefully will last as long as the last one with heavy office use.

This is a nice coffee maker. It is very easy to use and the timer and ability to pour a cup when it is still brewing is very convenient. The one problem I have with it is you can not remove the filter holder from the machine. It makes a big mess when you have to remove the filter and wet coffee grounds. I could remove the holder from the machine I had before and take the whole mess straight to the trash and not dribble water everywhere. It was obviously not designed by some one that has to use it.

This coffee maker looks very nice & has the main features needed, it was very easy to set up & the clock can be set up for coffee to automatically come on. The auto shut off is a good safety feature, but I wish you could adjust how long you want it to stay on.

My daughter and her roommates "killed" her first coffee maker. Starting a new job, getting an apartment for herself - she wanted a coffee pot, this was the right price, hoperfully it will last longer than the last one.
