This cute little thing that does not take up much space in your countertop can be a very versatile gadget. It comes with a fancy set of suggestions for cold coffee with a range of flavors: pumpkin, chocolate, vanilla, and so on. You get a tall and sturdy tumbler with two large straws. The direction and markings on the gadget itself are easy and intuitive. I love their anti-spill button and believe all coffee machines should have one. The spoon to pour in coffee powder is shaped uniquely. I loved the attention to detail. The machine is light and therefore easy to clean. I am yet to try out the fancy recipes but the plain Arabica over ice came out perfectly. Basically, it is a small coffee-maker without the heating plate. It is versatile because not only does it serve as a cold coffee maker, I plan to use it for a single quick cup of hot coffee whenever I need one fast. Although not advertised as a hot coffee maker, I would say, “why not?” I am very happy to have this small handy gadget in my life.

The Mr Coffee Single Coffee Maker makes it super easy to brew iced coffee in just a few minutes. The enclosed tumbler shows exactly how much water to add to the reservoir, and how much ice to put in the cup. The instructions suggest a full scoop of coffee but that seemed a little strong for me. Luckily you can add more or less grounds to the filter which is reusable and cleans easily. The tumbler has a removable lid and comes with two stainless steel reusable straws. For added fun, try some of the ideas in the enclosed recipe book by adding flavored syrup. Overall this is a quick, easy way to make iced coffee!

I love my Mr Coffee Iced coffee maker! It's super easy to use and it makes perfect iced coffee every time. I even bought some decaf coffee *Gasp!* so that I could enjoy iced coffee in the evenings and not be wired up before bedtime. The only thing I can say is before you brew your first cup make sure you read the instructions, and remember to close the lid before hitting the power button. Once powered up there is no way to turn it off until it finishes it's heating cycle, so if you accidently start it while it's empty, or start it while the lid is still up it will power up, and the heater will get hot.. I found that even unplugging the plug doesn't help as it will power right back on when plugged back in. So although it would be nice to have a dry start lockout, or a lid close interlock, any issues I have had with my Iced coffee maker were because of user error on my part. I deffinately recommend this to everyone who enjoys Coffee, or just nice refreshing cold drinks in general.

    Good Idea, Yet Lacking

I’ve only been an iced coffee fan for a short time, but have definitely developed a taste for it. Though I am still very particular about my coffee, be it hot or cold, since there are so many brands and flavors available, and I know what I like and don’t like. Initially, after brewing, my coffee smelled and tasted burnt. Not a good sign. The actual coffee brewing cycle took about as long as the instructions said it would, and then I added my preferred creamer which did help sweeten up the flavor. The coffee does ‘flash chill’ as the instructions claim. But that’s because two-thirds of the ice gets melted immediately, which it needs to do to dilute the coffee brewed by the heaping portion of grounds being used. Of course, you can adjust this to your own personal taste. This Mr. Coffee Single Serve Iced Coffee Maker comes with a nice double walled tumbler (which you use to measure the water you put into the water reservoir - although there is a fill line indicator as well), along with two stainless steel straws. There’s also a reusable mesh coffee filter, or you can use those paper disposable filters inside that, which I’d recommend anyway, for easier cleanup of used coffee grounds. I do like the simple recipe booklet included with the iced coffee maker. There are lots of helpful suggestions and easy-to-do “fancy” type customizations to help you to really create some tasty iced coffees with a bit of fun experimentation. Being able to have this coffee maker at home, right on your kitchen counter, ready whenever you want to have an iced coffee, is super convenient. However, based on my own experience trying out this iced coffee maker, I would recommend, but with some reservations. I’m certain this will fill a basic “need” for people who love iced coffee, either every day or as a once in a while thing. But there’s no way the coffee made by this iced coffee maker is going to compete with the quality of what you’d get at a coffee shop. While I can appreciate what the Mr. Coffee Single Serve Iced Coffee Maker is marketed for, more improvements need to be made.

Save your money and buy the Mr. Coffee Iced Coffee Maker. I got tired of waiting in those ridiculously long lines for overpriced coffee, so I decided to give the Mr. Coffee Iced Coffee Maker a try. I am very happy that I did, and must say that this was definitely a smart investment. Making iced coffee is so easy and fast. The steps to brewing the coffee are very simple, pour it in a cup, add ice, and your favorite ingredients/syrup. After picking the Mr. Coffee Iced Coffee Maker I made sure to pick up my favorite syrups and coffee at my local grocery store. The Mr. Coffee Iced Coffee Maker comes with a reusable filter and a tumbler, so you save even more money there. The machine takes up very little space on my counter, which is important to me. Making iced coffee is easy and convenient. I would highly recommend the Mr. Coffee Iced Coffee Maker to anyone.

There are basically two types of ice coffee machines. Before this Mr. Coffee Machine, I either used cold brew concentrates or seeped coffee for several hours/overnight in a fridge, and then poured that cold coffee over ice. There are some hassles involved. • Need to plan ahead of your desire for iced coffee. If you want a cup of iced coffee now and didn’t make your cold brew at least several before, you’re out of luck. • You devote space to a pitcher of coffee in your fridge. • Taste of brewed coffee can change as it gets older. • Guests always come over when you have just a single glass left. • Another family member finishes off the pitcher just before you want an iced coffee. The Mr. Coffee machine is more immediate and does away with many of these frustrations. • As long as you have coffee and water on hand, you can make cup of iced coffee in under five minutes with no prior prep. • Great for that sudden impulse or someone drops by. Well, maybe after the pandemic they will. • The iced coffee with this is always fresh brewed. • You can adjust the brew strength on each cup to suit each person’s tastes. • This will use more ice than the other type since your adding hot coffee. But you don’t end up with a watered-down cup of iced coffee. The ice melt from the hot coffee is factored into the brew recipe. Less water is used for a stronger brew which then becomes less strong as the ice melts into water. Clever. You can tweak how much coffee you add if the standard recipe end result is not to your liking and try different types of coffee. • Cleanup is easy. You just need rinse/wash the filter basket and tumbler. Since the tumbler is double walled plastic, you need to hand wash it. The heat in a dishwasher would eventually cause the seal between the double walls to open and the measurement marking to disappear. I found myself thinking, why not just brew hot coffee with a standard hot coffee maker and pour it over ice? After all, that is pretty much what’s going on here. Or is there something else here? A few of the factors that occurred to me while sipping a cold brew were: • If you do not have a hot coffee machine, have no need of one, but want iced coffee, then coffeemaker will meet your needs. • If you have a K-Cup machine, you’ll need to brew a few small strong cups and pour over ice to make a big cup of iced coffee since the hot coffee gets watered down by ice. That many K-Cups can get really expensive fast making this machine a bargain in a short time. • If you have a hot coffee machine where you can adjust the strength; coffee/water used, you could use that to brew hot coffee and then pour over ice with similar results. There are some cons though: o You can’t make different brews quickly for people with different tastes. o You may have a bit more cleanup with those machines with filter baskets. o You may need to wait longer for the machine and carafe to cool down between uses. I found the Mr. Coffee Single Serve Iced Coffeemaker worked as advertised, repeatedly and reliably, while being easy to use and clean up. The Drip-stop slide lock prevents accidental dripping between cups. The 22-ounce double walled tumbler doubles as a measuring cup. It’s marked with lines for how much water and ice to use. The machine only comes with just one tumbler. Two stainless steel straws are also included. You can buy more Mr. Coffee tumblers, they are available separately. Or use any tumbler that holds at least 22 ounces and is close to but not taller that the included tumbler. The tumbler is NOT mechanically tied to the machine with an automatic drip valve like most hot coffee machines. The coffee just pours out the spout into the tumbler. You can also use the tumbler that comes with the machine as a carafe to make the iced coffee, then pour into other glasses if needed. The tumbler is double walled to provide insulation to keep your iced coffee cold longer and sweat is near non-existent compared to a regular glass. Unfortunately, double wall plastic tumblers are not dishwasher safe. They will eventually crack and that air space between the walls will get wet and could get moldy. Most people should be very happy with the functionality, features and results of this Mr. Coffee machine. It’s hard to find fault with what you get for the price and will pay for itself in short order with the savings. Add some caramel or other syrup flavors to make your own flavored iced coffees instead of visiting a barista and this will pay for itself even faster.

This is honestly my favorite appliance right now. My husband and I drink a ton of iced coffee. This has saved us a ton more that we can make it at home so easily. This couldn't be easier to use. Throw some ice in the cup, water and coffee in the machine and turn it on. The coffee comes out perfect everytime and it's easy to clean. We actually bought a second one for a gift to give to a family member as well. My only complaint would be I wish it came with two tumblers. For the price you can't go wrong with this machine.

I consider myself an iced coffee connoisseur. Over the years, I have tried multiple solutions to make iced coffee. Nothing easily compares to purchasing it at a coffee shop. Most at-home options create watered-down versions. Mr. Coffee appears to have solved the problem. Between their scoop, water quantity, and volume of ice in the included tumbler, the coffee produced by this machine is really good! I love the fact that the machine has plenty of room for me to tailor how many coffee grounds I want. Too strong? Reduce it. Too weak? Add more. There is plenty of space to play around and make adjustments. However, the suggested quantities for everything really do produce a good cup of iced coffee. To test the machine, I purchased a common name-brand coffee. Nothing expensive, but not cheap either. It comes out tasting great - not too strong and definitely not watered down. After brewing, cleanup is pretty easy. First, there is a switch to flip to keep the machine from dripping on the counter. Inside, the machine has a reusable filter, but it also accepts standard coffee filters. The one thing that is slightly annoying is that the reusable filter has a solid bottom. It makes it slightly more difficult to rinse. Grounds like to stick inside. Of course, this is not a problem if I use a reusable filter. I also wish the tumbler was dishwasher safe. It is pretty easy to swish soapy water around in it, but my hand will not fit all the way down. I also prefer machine washing everything because dishwashers are able to sanitize. Handwashing means the water temp never gets hot enough to kill most bacteria. As a germaphobe, I care about that. With that being said, I still really like the machine. To date, I have never had a better or easier solution for iced coffee at home.

PROS: - VERY small footprint - Easy to use - Easy to clean - Re-usable filter - Included tumbler CONS: - I'm probably drinking too much coffee now == Setup == While this for making iced coffee, the process is pretty much the same as making normal hot coffee with virtually any other coffee maker. You have to remove the top "section" to add your water, then add your coffee grounds (there's an included scoop to make sure you have the perfect amount of grounds), and then brew your coffee. The only difference here is that you need to fill up the included tumbler with ice before you start brewing coffee. At first it seems like you're putting in too much ice, but you honestly need ALL of that ice. The coffee is very concentrated, so a tumbler full of ice is for two reasons: ( 1 ) Chill the coffee and ( 2 ) Dilute the coffee. == Daily Use == I really love how simple and easy it is to use this. Not only is it easy to operate, but it works really great. Cleanup makes it quick and simple, so making two (or three or four) more servings throughout the day doesn't feel like a hassle. Since I use this at least once a day, I'll clean it out once a week. To do this, I just treat it like any other coffee maker in the past: run some vinegar+water through to clean, then run water a couple times after and you're good to go! == Bottom Line == Stop wasting money going out to get iced coffee. I really can't find anything to complain about it. It takes up very little countertop space, it's easy to use+clean, but most importantly: it works!
