Office worker and Gamer. Keeps up with everything!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm loving this MSI laptop so far. It's been over a month since I got it. I've been using it mainly for work and gaming. For my work related stuff, It's been flawless. I usually have 15+ chrome tabs running simultaneously which doesn't sound like too much, but at least 3 of them run a very demanding CRM software, but those 16gb ram along with that Ryzen 5 have been able to handle every scenario like a breeze. Then regarding gaming, that 4050 is really something else. I gotta say, I've been gaming for quite a few years already, and I recently moved and had to sell my gaming PC which was pretty solid with an RTX 2080, ryzen 7 and 16GB ram. So I bought this laptop as a work tool, in the meantime I built a new gaming PC, but man, it has definitely helped me not miss my gaming PC at all. The 4050 in combination with that ryzen 5 have been able to run my favorite AAA games (dark souls, Assassin's Creed Unity, Sekiro, Red Dead Redemption 2) obviously not in ultra settings (I could, but it drops the FPS a bit too much for my taste) but in high it does pretty well. And since it's super easy to connect with my xbox controller, I take it from the office to my living room, connect it with the TV and have my comfy couch gaming time there. Also if you like shooters like I do (I'm into Apex Legends), it'll be a walk in the park for this laptop. Depending on the settings I use, I get up to 120+ FPS when using the built-in screen (I think I could get more but I don't like lowering my settings that much), but when it comes to shooters, I get a bit more serious so I prefer connecting it to my 27" gaming monitor, which is I guess the only problem I've ran into: My monitor runs at 144hz when using DP, which this laptop doesn't have, so I have to use HDMI, but my monitor has a limit of 100hz when using HDMI, which is still ok for me cause I'm old school (back in the days when 60fps was da bomb). But hey, that's just me. If you're ok using the laptop display or if you have a better monitor than mine, you won't have that issue :) Also, for shooters, the laptop keyboard is ok, but I'd still suggest using an external keyboard (and mouse obviously). If you're a die hard shooter gamer you'll know what I'm talking about :) One thing I do miss right off the bat is the storage capacity, a bit limited, but it allows to install an additional NVMe, which I'm doing in the next couple of months cause the laptop is definitely worth it.

Nice Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This laptop is very good, especially for the price. I run lots of games like Valorant, Habbo Hotel, and VR Chat. I wish I could change the color of the keyboard lights but blue is cool too. The battery runs out fairly quickly. I recommend others to buy it!

Good.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.runs great, its good for 1080p gaming and can run games at 60fps. The looks are cool, I like the blue backlight keyboard and the transparent wasd keys. Only downside is that I had to upgrade the nvidia drivers. It’s worth getting.

MSI Bravo 15, a nice, entry level gaming laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MSI Bravo 15 is a nice, entry level gaming laptop. Some of my favorite features of this laptop are the 144hz refresh rate, backlit keyboard with fully lit direction keys, (mostly) full keyboard, 6GB of RAM dedicated to the RTX4050, and the feel of the keyboard. ***Who is this made for*** This gaming laptop would be a great upgrade for someone who likes to game but only has a regular laptop. It’s a solid choice for someone’s first gaming laptop. It will play most games out there right out of the gate, and for about $125 you can upgrade the RAM to 32GB and SSD to 1TB if you need to down the road. ***Memory and Storage*** It has 16GB of RAM which will suffice for most games I play. It helps that it is DDR5 and 4800mhz. Madden and Forza are my top two games. 32GB would be great but it is cheap enough to upgrade down the road if I need to. Half a TB of storage is a bit of a joke at a $999 price point. I downloaded Forza and it took up more than 300GB (60%) of my hard drive. I will absolutely need to upgrade my SSD. Best Buy currently has 1TB for $50 or 2TB for $80. Still, it would only have cost MSI a few bucks more to put a more appropriate sized SSD in this laptop. ***Gameplay*** Madden 23 runs smooth for the most part. Full graphics settings don’t slow it down much. For the most part games are running really well though I did have an issue the other night. I was playing Madden 23 and in the middle of a game, everything stopped responding and then the screen went black. The computer reboot itself and said it needed to install “Nahimic 3” update. I had no idea if that was legit or spam/malware. I googled it and it turns out it is some poorly named MSI software. I let it update but I was frustrated that it just kicked me out of my game and updated. ***Battery*** I call gaming laptops ‘mobile PCs’ because that is basically what they are. They are more powerful and capable than most laptops, but battery life is terrible. In my testing with this laptop, so far I can only get about 2.5 hours of use. So I will basically need to keep it plugged in whenever I use it. That makes this a “one trick pony” so to speak. The fan runs almost all the time which does not help battery life. ***Build*** The laptop feels like it is built well. It is heavy, as most gaming laptops are. The screen looks great. Not only does it have a backlit keyboard, it has several keys which are basically transparent so the backlight shines through them. These transparent keys are the W,A,S,D which are the most commonly used directional keys for gaming. It is nice because if you are playing in low light environments, those keys are easy to find if you pull your hands off for a minute. The actual directional keys have arrows that light up too if you are playing a game that uses those instead. Speaking of the keyboard, it does have the number pad on the right, however, it is not full-sized. The number keys are smaller and the enter, +, and - keys are below and above the numbers to save space. The keyboard is also lacking one big feature for me, a fingerprint reader. My phone, tablet, work laptop, other regular personal laptop, and a few other devices have some sort of biometric login. Whether it is facial recognition or fingerprint readers. Seems like MSI could put that in this laptop. ***Ports*** This MSI laptop has 3 USB A ports, 1 USB C, 1 HDMI, 1 Ethernet, 1 audio jack, and the power port. I am really disappointed with the lack of USB C ports as well as the fact that it will not charge via USB C. Most of the accessories I use have gone to USB C so one port isn’t great. I’d also like it if it charged through the USB C. I know it would not charge as fast as the included power adapter, but it could be a nice “trickle charge” while you play. ***Audio and Visual*** The speakers are not fantastic, basically what you’d expect from any gaming laptop. I don’t usually play with the sound too loud anyway. The screen is great! It is an IPS panel which is great for contrast and viewing angles. The refresh rate is 144hz so lag is pretty much non-existent. It has a matte finish so I don’t really notice any reflections when the screen is on. ***Overall*** I like the laptop. For me, with the games I mentioned that I play, it is fine as is. Once I upgrade the SSD, it will be a much better fit for me. If you play really demanding games, there are likely better options out there. People playing Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, and similar games will be fine too.

Worth the money I spent
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Amazing laptop, works as it should. Wish I had an option or money to upgrade the battery and ram ect, I’ve already ran out of space but I can still play games like call of duty Warzone comfortably with this laptop totally stock after it updates.

Great Gaming Laptop Deal
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price point this was an excellent pick up for me. I wanted to play games on the go because I have to travel multiple times a month and this solved that issue for me. I’ve had no problems playing the games I want, from Minecraft to Elden Ring. Doesn’t take up too much space in my go bag too.

GOOD MIDRANGE GAMING LAPTOP!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MSI Bravo 15 is a good mid-range gaming laptop that offers a good balance of performance, features at a reasonable price. It is powered by the AMD Ryzen 5-7535HS processor and the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card. It also has a 15.6-inch 144Hz display, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB NVMe SSD. I have been testing out this laptop for a few days now and I can honestly say that it is a pretty good laptop for gaming, schoolwork, and your everyday use. I primarily used this device for gaming purposes with Call of Duty and Forza and was easily able to achieve anywhere between 120 to 130 fps without any issues, with smooth and enjoyable gaming experience. The MSI Bravo 15 offers exceptional performance with this Ryzen 5 processor combined with the Nvidia RTX 4050. The MSI also offers a FULL HD IPS (1920 x 1080) display combined with 144hz refresh rate provides smooth, fluid, and beautiful display. The laptop has a slim and lightweight design, making it easy to carry around, it weighs in at about 5lbs. Pros: • Powerful performance: The Ryzen 5-7535HS processor and RTX 4050 graphics card can handle most modern games at high settings. • 144Hz / Full HD display: The 144Hz display provides smooth, fluid and beautiful visuals for gaming. • 16GB of DDR5 RAM: The 16GB of RAM ensures that the laptop can handle multitasking and demanding applications such as some pc games. (Expandable up to 64GB) • 512GB NVMe SSD: The 512GB NVMe SSD provides fast boot and loading times. (UPGRADABLE) • Ports: 1 x HDMI 2.1, 1 x USB-A 2.0, 2 x USB-A 3.2, Headphone jack Cons: • Battery life could be better: The battery life is not the greatest, but it is still good enough for light use. I would recommend keeping the unit plugged in for a better gaming experience. • Build Quality: I am not sure if this was meant to keep the weight down on the device, but some areas of the laptop feel flimsy on the bottom. Overall, the MSI Bravo 15 is a good option for a mid-range gaming laptop that offers a good balance of performance and features. Even with the battery and some areas of the laptop feeling a bit flimsy, I would still recommend this laptop for someone who is in the market for exceptional performance without breaking the bank.

Cool laptop, still have to test gaming power.
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cool looking for sure! Got it in order to play BG3, but there's not enough disk space and I haven't even downloaded anything onto it yet, so kinda bummed there. I'm not tech savvy at all, so maybe it can be upgraded.

Excellent budget gaming laptop
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was not sure what quality I would get for $999. MSI seemed to invest where it counted. The packaging is just like the higher end models. The setup was pretty much the same as any other Win 11 laptop. I did have to navigate some prompted use cases on the included MSI center. This is where I knew how to update the unit but I would think your average user would not think to go. In this utility there is a option for support than live update. This is where it will download and install these laptop specific drivers. The included Norton 60 day trial was the only bloatware I had to uninstall but that is common. Now the build quality: I think the general build is a strong plastic with little flex. The trackpad is smooth. The keyboard is good and has a nice layout for the wasd keys as they are clear blue. Also, the arrow and power keys stand out. The feedback is great. I do, however, not like the enter key tucked sideways in the lower right corner. The included power adapter is not too big but does include a special angled barrel connector and I worry for the life of this type of connection. Cooling: This laptop runs cool even plugged in and on high performance. This AMD/GPU combo is perfect for the laptop design. Anymore and this would get really hot. Screen: I like the response of the included display but 1080P is starting to look dated as the graphics just look dull. The color quality is good and the brightness even. Gaming performance: I was able to get 110 fps on Fortnite with Epic settings at 1080p connected to the power adapter. When in balanced mode I was still able to get a respectable 65 fps on medium settings. There were some occasional dropped frames. This Nvidia RTX 4050 6GB card is paired well with the AMD CPU Other specs: They included a 16gb Ram with another free slot to increase to 32gb if you need. The Included SSD is a nice 512gb and a fast Samsung nvme drive. Battery life: I was able to get just shy of 1.75 hrs on full performance mode with this laptop gaming. I was able to stretch that to 4.5hrs when doing standard productivity/web browsing. This is where I think the AMD is ahead of Intel when you need to run on battery. Pros: This is a very complete gaming laptop for the price. Built well and affordable. Included mux switch for gaming and good cooling. Standard ports are decent (3 USB type A, 1 USBC, ethernet and hdmi). Included Cooler Master hot key for gaming. Cons: I wish they squeezed in a QHD display for the money. Also, the enter key was better placed.
