I recently bought this in order to have an additional laptop at home because my wife has a Mac and some programs do not work on Mac. This laptop was purchased with the intent of playing fortnite and counterstrike and I'm so happy that I bought it. My son loves playing on it and I love the graphics that this provides and the 1TB is pretty nice as well for our pictures. Awesome purchase so far!

I handle IT operations for our design firm and we were looking at purchasing new PCs. I bought one of these as a test case and it held up to our design software very well (Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup and the like). In the end we purchased 5 more. As an aside, because I was curious I installed PUBG on the machine to see how it handled. High graphics settings and it did great, though I recommend a plugged in keyboard if you are pounding on it. I love the thin form factor, stays relatively cool unless running heavy graphics, supports dual monitors and docking stations. Battery life is sufficient for daily tasks though I haven't timed it. Not to mention the glowy keyboard is really well designed, simply for the fact that the timing is more developed in the lighting makes a huge difference over the previous model. Scheduled to purchase another one of these in the coming week. For reference we have lenovo, dell, and other laptops. I have also had another MSI Sager from xotic PC, this isn't quite as powerful as those, but its not a brick either. Also, its not too flashy if I don't want it to be. If I go to a client site, turn of the fancy keyboard the only attention grabbers are some red trim around the mouse pad and the back and the logo. It doesn't scream "HEY LOOK AT ME, I'M A GAMING LAPTOP". It just says it mater-of-factly. enough to get the point across but not over the top. Very very happy!

The title might sound a bit contradicting, but I had to give this laptop a 2 star after returning and exchanging it for 4 times. It is surely a top performing laptop, equipped with i7-8750 processor, 6GB independent graphic card and 16GB system memory. When it works, it works well and fast. But when it stops working, it's a disaster. The first one I got arrived with a broken USB port, the second one, a broken HDMI port. And the third one stopped turning on after 2 days of using. This is my 3rd week on the fourth one and hope it will survive, although I kinda doubt about it.

We bought this specifically for my husbands college degree. His classes required A LOT of memory etc. We've had this 1.5 years and it is still going strong. We love it. I now use this for my business as well as personal use. If you are looking for a high functioning, great picture, speed, memory, etc in a laptop...this is the one for you.

This laptop was purchased for a mix of work and gaming and so far it performs very well for both tasks. When i went into the store this one stood out to me quickly among the others for it's price/performance coming in at a little over $1,700 for an upgraded GTX 1060 and an 8th gen I7 is pretty good. Only gripes i have with it are the 60hz screen and the track pad being rather limited .

Great performance in a small form factor, its thin and light which is nice.

This was the first gaming laptop that I bought and I haven't been let down. I can play all the latest titles on Ultra without skipping a frame rate. The only thing I am let down by is the software of the laptop. Windows 10 is a big let down. It is also because of Windows 10, the camera of the laptop is basically unusable. Haven't been able to use it in any application and it just shows a green screen. I have tried uninstalling drivers but nothing fixes it. Side note: the speaker aren't the best either. It is a bit too quiet but usually for gaming laptops you need headphones so its not that big of a deal.

Today I purchased my first gaming laptop. I have a desktop setup already with a 1080ti and i wanted something compact where i could bring along to trips or going back home over the weekend. after updating the drivers and installing everything necessary i was getting over 120 FPS on CSGO and the game runs so smooth you could barely tell youre playing on a laptop. 10/10

Good graphics and very fast! Great replacement for my old setup!

I love this computer. It is amazingly cute, the rainbow keyboard is everything great, but this cuteness meets amazing function, a huge memory, light as can be and it is fast, like FAST FAST. all in all I love it. Also I had to call MSI tech support because I had a question, the hold time was less than a minute the service person was very knowledgeable, helpful and patient.

To be honest I was kind of skeptical about whether or not this laptop would perform how I want it to but since having it, I love everything about it. There is a bit of bloatware but its easy to take off. The keyboard and performance is much better than the previous gen laptops. The only downside I saw was that it only has a 60hz screen but not a big deal to me.

In making this purchase, I was originally stuck between this laptop and a lenovo for music production and editing videos. However what won me over was that this laptop has an SD card slot, multiple USB ports and a headphone jack as well as a a separate microphone jack. But since it is a gaming computer I figured I might as well try out a few games and needless to say I'm not disappointed at all so any time I need my gaming fix, this definitely does the job. In addition to that, the start up time is excellent. I don't even have to put it on sleep mode like I have to other computers because it loads up that fast. Honestly for me this was the best purchase I could have made. I got what I purchased it for and then some. The only thing I do want to mention as a piece of advice, is to make sure when you install software that you are mindful of which drive you install it on(the SSD or HDD). Since you don't want to eat up all your space on the SSD, install on the HDD when you can since some programs will always install on the SDD. Wish I could give a more gaming centric review since that is what the laptop is made for, but for those of us who want to use it for other purposes and on occasion have a few gaming sessions, this ought to do just fine.
