Hi, I am entering college this fall and was looking for a laptop that will be powerful enough to handle all the tasks that I may throw at it. I was looking for a laptop with an Intel I7 8th generation, 16 GB of Ram, GTX 10 series, ethernet port, thunderbolt 3, and good battery life. I was strongly considering the Razer Blade 15 but it was not as good as this in my opinion. This laptop has a great steel series keyboard with no tricky layout and a number pad. This laptop also has plenty of storage with a 1 TB HDD and 256 GB SSD. This laptop also has an ethernet port. This laptop also has great cooling too. This laptop is great and I know that it will be able to handle whatever I choose to use it for years to come. I hope this review helps you in your buying process and I hope that you have a great rest of your day.

Lets get the problem out of the way first. Make sure you manually update the wireless drivers. For some reason windows automatically updated the wireless driver and the drivers couldn't enable the wireless device. I had to update manually with a cable connection. Also the speakers were terribly low, but I fixed that by updating all the audio/speaker related drivers. Now it's fine. I like this laptop ! The colorful RGB keyboard can be disabled. The design is nice. I'm able to play Total Warhammer 2 when i'm away on business. It has a camera and mic, so Skype is easy to use. The screen has a nice texture that prevents strong glare from the sun. My favorite thing would be the performance for a laptop is just like my PC except for graphics card, but it's okay at this price point. It also weights very little.

I absolutely love this laptop. The build quality is excellent, all aluminum so it feels really expensive. The keyboard is probably one of its best features, the lighting is cool but the feel and the spacing makes it one of the best laptop keyboards I've ever used. The screen is great, no complaints with that. I see a lot of complaints about the track pad but to be honest all track pads are bad, they are just awkward to use. I've personally always preferred a mouse. I honestly don't think it's that bad, it could be a little more responsive but with a little tweaking its fine, if your gaming your using a mouse or game pad anyway. What else is there to say... it's fast, responsive, good on battery, it's about everything you want in a laptop. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Pros- Lightweight Design: I chose this laptop over other gaming laptops because of the difference in weight an how slim this laptop was compared to others. It's a huge difference in size compared to others with the same components Components: I originally was planning on building a new PC to game on. However, after coming across this laptop it was hard not to resist what this laptop has component wise compared to how much it would cost to build a desktop with the same components Looks: I loved how sleek the laptop was and the backlit keyboard sold it for me. Cons: Only con would be the Dragon Shield Logo on the back. Not my taste and wish it was modular so I could change it. I can't so I'll just stick a piece of carbon fiber vinyl over it and call it a day

Just got this machine as my graduation gift for college. After years of using standard computers and wishing for something with higher specs but portable and sleek, this computer more than answered my prayers. Perfect computer for reliable 1080p experiences and light and sleek enough to take wherever you'd need. Would recommend 10/10.

We ordered three of these units to replace older machines that we use for high end imaging and digital microscopy. These are fantastically light and thin, but pack a punch for the 3D imaging. I would highly highly highly recommend. We use mouses when using the laptop, but if there was one area of improvement, it would be the trackpad.

This is my 1st experience with the MSi brand. I’d never heard of them before, as I’m not a gamer, and don’t follow gaming trends. I just wanted a reliable, fast-as-heck laptop, with crap-tons of memory and storage space, for a new job I’m starting next week. Had my eyes on HP Spectre or Microsoft Surface, because of their durability reviews... but the salesman at Best Buy (who happened to be a gamer) asked me to check this machine out. Tons of storage, lightning fast, AND upgradable, meaning I can swap boards and chips and little bits inside, if I ever so-desire... can’t do that with the HP or the Surface. So for the same price point, I got DOUBLE the memory, space, upgradability, and speed of the competition! So far I’m pleased with my machine, but I’ve only just begun using it. I’ll write a follow-up review after working with it for a bit longer.

I was looking for a computer that could fulfill several needs, portability, strength, weight, performance and wanted it to be VR ready. So i search and came across the MSI stealth, even the name sounds great. From the packaging to the materials the laptop is made from you can see the quality and care that went into it. Has a very strong feel to it when you pick it up and on switch on because of the SSD drive loads immediately. I purchased the smaller SSD drive because of the difference in price and only needed this for startup programs everything else i loaded on to the 1TB secondary drive. Great gaming performance and clear screen display with the ability to make changes to the fans and CPU is a definite plus. The only negative is too making sure when you upgrade to the latest windows 10 that it has taken it correctly otherwise the cooling fans will run high and can be noisy. Cannot expect a totally silent computer especially when they packed so much into a thin laptop. The touch pad you can hear your fingers tap on it which is annoying to me and the keyboard is nice and can change the light show with the steel series setup. so, in summary a good-looking computer with all the bells and whistles and a great gaming laptop to boot.

Bought the laptop for about 1 month now, I absolutely love it. Played many games at constant 60 FPS at high graphic settings e.g. Overwatch, WoW, Rise of the Tomb Raider, GTA 5 etc.. Just finished the new game Shadow of the Tomb Raider at high setting. Run smoothly at 60 FPS most of the time. Great gaming laptop especially for its size. GTX1060 is definitely enough for the casual gamers like myself. There are some issues I have experienced with this laptop: the fan is a bit loud while gaming not it doesn't affect me too much. The keyboard feels solid but easy to leave finger residue -- I need to clean it once a week. Overall solid gaming laptop for its size and price. Recommend

This laptop is a great option for gaming on the move. It's able to hit 55-60 fps in any game on high or max settings running at 1080p (1920x1080). It has a solid feel inside its brushed aluminum body and it comfortably thin considering the hardware inside. It handles the heat pretty well (managed to play civilization 6 for at least 6 hours straight max settings). While it can get pretty hot, there is a cloth material on the bottom to diffuse the heat when used on your legs. The only 2 cons are the relatively short battery life--which makes sense for the hardware used--and there is a slight flex on the touch pad when trying to click. This doesn't bother me that much since I use a mouse.

I am an engineering student who needed a powerful laptop to run CAD applications and complex software as well as a capable gaming rig. This was the perfect mix of power, portability, and features. My favorite features are the RGB keyboard that has per-key color settings, really awesome for certain games and as an audio visualizer. The 8th gen i7 inside screams and exactly what I need to carry me through the rest of my college career. If there was anything I would change would be the bezel around the screen to be smaller.

This computer runs AutoCAD, Inventor, and Solidworks beautifully. At the same time it has enough processing power to run any game I want while at the same time being light and portable. My only real grievance is that the screen could be a little brighter; It's difficult to see if I'm working outside.

I had been planning to get a gaming laptop as my graduation present to myself this Fall. Unfortunately, my old computer took a dive and I had to treat myself early. I did a lot of research when looking at these computers, and by far this one had the best reviews and specs. I have had my laptop for a month now, and I absolutely love it. The graphics and speed is amazing, and I love having a full keyboard. The only issue I have is that the mouse pad is in a weird spot and is very sensitive. However, you can turn it off, and use a mouse instead so it's not the worst thing in the world (I use a mouse and it works perfectly). Otherwise I've not had any other issues.

Received this laptop as a gift. I am a design student & use the following softwares: AutoCAD, Revit, & Photoshop. This laptop is more than capable of allowing my needs & the design is nice as well with the multi colored keyboard design. Only have had it for for a few days, but so far it's great. Only cons are the battery life isn't as long as my old Mac book & it runs a little slow for some reason. Just expected my web pages to load a little quicker, but that's just 21st century problems!

This is my first gaming PC I've ever bought, and I;m glad my friend suggested I get a laptop rather than a desktop. First of all, I love the keyboard. You can customize the heck out of it. I also love the thin factor, as it makes this PC very easy to travel with and use at work. The inner workings allow me to play games on Ultra, including MGSV, Halo Wars 2, Rainbow Six Siege, etc. I love this gaming PC.

ive had it for a week now and I can honestly say the computer is a vast improvement over the previous generation (of which I had to return due to a hardware failure). The touch pad is one of the most responsive ive ever used and keyboard has a nice mechanical feel to it. battery life is exceptional as well. as far as games go I was able to run rainbow six siege on ultra however that's literally the max of the videocards ability. not bad. so far ive been able to run every other game I own with no problems

This laptop is certainly not someone looking to do office work. This is a powerhouse that can smash any title without frame rate drops whatsoever. The design is beautiful but with a completely metal casing which shows finger prints very easily, but not enough to lose a star.

I want to start out by stating I haven't bought a computer in 8 years, and haven't owned a PC in longer. We switched due to the lack of gaming on Mac and the price for the features we got with a PC of similar price points. Also, I needed something to take to grad school and play games with at home. So portability and power were a must. I brought the computer home, did the updates, removed the bulk ware, and am slowly adding programs and games that I have intended to have for a long time. Upon first startup (I forgot to buy a mouse of course) I was initially frustrated with the Track Pad. That, I feel, is the biggest downside of the laptop: We were used to the seemingly effortless track pads of Macs. This one felt clunky, I couldn't make it click when I wanted, other times I would drag stuff around the screen. I feel the placement is an awkward placement and even while typing this *after 1 week owning* I still find myself moving the mouse around w/ my palms while I type. Once I bought a good mouse, most issues of the track pad went away. Also, I feel the keyboard could be a big...bigger. I've used some tiny Bluetooth keyboards in the past, and this is much more functional than those. But the addition of a the tiny num-pad is....well, annoying. I use a numpad a work all the time, and find this barely suitable to use and can hardly type in a 4 digit code, much less a long list of numbers. The good parts? Great lighting on the keyboard, and you can utilze the software installed to move beyond the presets. I saw a Steelseries mouse that had great reviews, so I bought it and it seemlessly was paired with the software, and I could customize the color to match my keyboard settings. The screen resolution is adequate. It's a 15'' monitor, so anything beyond 1080p is just overkill...You only would notice the difference on something larger. I don't need 4k on such a small screen in my opinion. The weight is amazing! It's so light! I picked up the Alienware next to it and thought...Why even buy a laptop for something that heavy? It's not portable if it's over 10 lbs. The storage was more than adequate for what I needed, and the USB ports are very fast, which makes hooking up a ext HD very easy. The performance is great! Can play the few games I've tried with ease. I haven't noticed any latency or sluggishness, and boots up very fast. One final negative: The battery life is very very limited. I put everything on "eco" mode and had maybe 1.5-2.5 hours of functionality. Maybe I can tweak this more in the future, but right now I was slightly disappointed. As a plus the power chord is very long, making it easy to take with you I guess? Overall, I enjoy the laptop and feel it does exactly what I intended it to do.
