New technologies like 6 core i7 CPU and Max-Q 1070 make this laptop very cutting edge. 144hz screen is bright and vibrant. Laptop can handle any game currently out with higjbsettings and framerates. Even though laptop is ultra thin, it does not overheat too much. For added cooling I have a cooling pad for it which helps a lot. Design aesthetic is in my opinion the best out of any gaming laptop. The gold accents are a very welcome design choice over cheap feeling red "gamerboi" which is all too prevalent in the market. Pros: 144hz screen, 1070 max Q, design aesthetic Cons: somewhat limited upgrading options, especially for memory. I haven't tried yet, but I hear that it's had to get to the SSDs. After about 4 months my screen went black, and I'm currently undergoing an RMA process to get it fixed. MSI makes this a little hard in my opinion. It took a bit of effort finding the right form to download, and I have to pay to ship it to them. Oh well, this is pretty common fair for smaller companies it seems.

150+ in overwatch ultra settings with some undervolting. Build quality slightly lacking, but not a major issue. Good screen with rich color and brightness

I cannot imagine to have an laptop that is both competitive in weight and function. But GS65 surprise me, do not hesitate to get it if you r an IT fan. pros:great 144hz screen, great logo, great keyboard light performance, 1070q is good enough for daily use. cons: poor hinge: be careful when you open and fold, easy to get fingerprint and hard to get rid of, cpu temperature is acceptable during gaming but the noise of fan drive me crazy especially in quiet place I bought qc35 for it. for whole: it really good! best laptop so far even considering its disadvantages.

The laptop is thin, stylish and powerful. The screen looks great and full of detail. Fan noise is acceptable, thermal control can be better but it's still okay.

This little laptop packs a lot of power. Very light weight and one of my favorite things is the 144 Hz screen.

This laptop is amazing for gaming, gets a little hot but nothing crazy. Graphics are amazing, I've thrown every game at it and it has not bogged down or slowed down. The sound is not bad but speakers are underneath. Upgrading will be a pain due to motherboard being upside down. The keyboard RGB is cool gotten lots of compliments from it. The battery is pretty good for being a gaming laptop. Its super thin and light. People on reviews complain about the flexing of the body but I have yet to experience it. All in all the laptop is amazing and do not regret buying it.

I have been using the laptop for 6 months now mostly for general office use and only recently started playing. I am not sure if it did not stand the heat in the room or if the fan that cools the video card just shut down. I was playing dota 2 (not a high graphic-intensive game) and the fan throttled- and then suddenly the screen hung and made a heavy grinding noise - post this it just wouldn’t boot. Am happy I bought the geek squad service contract - if this repeats I might just escalate the situation. It was a surprise for the service technician who said this is unusual for the laptop. I just hope that MSI doesn’t compromise the build quality in its future laptop variants or its gonna lose its share in the gaming laptop market division.

The system is fast and has good features. I contacted Ted the msi tech support line, very cryptic responses. While the unit looks good I'm concerned about the support. The review system forces me to either say eyes or no to recommend to a friend. In truth I'm neutral on that.

Amazing laptop that can be used any game, but can also be used for work without looking like a gaming laptop and having the battery life to be useful.

I highly recommend this laptop to anyone. I purchased it mainly for everyday use with the benefits of gaming. It is extremely fast and easy to setup.

After hours of research, I am beyond pleased with this product. Its sleek keyboard and overall laptop design are great but that is not even the best part. The screen itself is mesmerizing and beautiful for gaming. The RAM and graphics card run any game with the quickest of ease making it worth the price. I would highly recommend this laptop not only for its beauty but for the convenience in gaming it provides when not able to have a desktop.

This is a really wonderful laptop the only reason I won't give it 5 stars is because this thing runs pretty hot. This is the case for most gaming laptops so be weary if your in the market for something with a lot more cooling power that this might not be the laptop for you.

After looking extensively for a laptop that would satisfy my $2000 budget (with student discount and after tax), my engineering schoolwork, and my gaming hobby, I settled upon the MSI GS65. The presentation upon delivery was beautiful and the laptop looks amazing. I prefer the discreet yet classy design over a laptop that looks like a spaceship. It starts up great and performs excellently. However, after a few minutes of playing CSGO, a game with low graphic intensity, the CPU was already overheating at 91+ degrees Celsius. before any CPU or GPU intensive games, I STRONGLY recommend you go into the "Dragon Center" and turn the cooling up to the "Cooler Boost" mode. This solved the problem, but I've heard it does a number on the fans. To be fair, though, I'd rather replace some fans than my CPU or GPU. TL;DR It's a great laptop with a great design at a reasonable price. You can't go wrong using this laptop for anything.

Blow's my Alienware 15 out of the water. At nearly half the weight, it's 144 Hertz screen is stellar and the RGB keyboard is unlike any I've seen

The gs-65 ultra thin and ultra portable laptops are good gaming laptops. Only wish I had bought the 32gb of ram version instead.

This laptop has enough power including GPU to run everything from virtual reality to gaming at a cost that is quite affordable.

The speed is comparable to any other system ... the dynamics are great ... I have a couple of games loaded so far and there's no lagging
