This is an amazing product. No faults at all except for the overheating which can be a bother sometimes but that only when you are gaming on your lap. The battery life is a okay(2-3, full power), i'm sure i can prolong it by playing with the settings a bit. The display is stunning. I am in love with this laptop and it was definitely worth it.

Boyfriend bought this laptop for me May of 2019. I'm currently writing this review 9 months later (February 2020). Laptop itself works great, runs my games properly, etc., but my issue is with the build and design of this product. The hinges go to crap after a couple months and it started to come apart from the display. Thankfully I could send it back to MSI to fix under warranty, but it did cost about $35 in shipping, and apparently there was also a problem with the LCD that wasn't covered and they wanted me to pay $335 to get it fixed. They should use better quality materials and add more support to where the laptop folds rather than just having two connectors on the ends. There was also a little smudge on my screen when I first bought it that seemed to come from inside of the display. While this is an above average laptop, I still think the price point should be way less for the quality you get.

The aesthetic of the laptop is awesome! This laptop is pretty quiet when playing games. It does heat up pretty quickly and I do recommend to use a laptop cooling fan when gaming. Overall, games run pretty smoothly and depending on the game you play, the GTX 2060 should be able to handle medium to high setting without issue. Overall, except for the heat, I like this laptop and will recommend to a friend.

I purchased this laptop for the online streaming for my church. I needed a laptop that can run vMix flawlessly. This beast enables me to stream to Facebook and YouTube and record simultaneously with ease. This laptop can run hot, so I would suggest purchasing a high performance cooler for it. The specs are high end the way you would like for future proofing yourself. One thing you should know, if you have any intentions of upgrading the hard drive or memory it's best that you have Geek Squad do this for you. The motherboard is inverted so you have to completely remove the motherboard from the chassis in order to perform these upgrades. I'm extremely pleased with the performance of this laptop. And having a Thunderbolt 3 port available is clutch. It is on the pricey side compared to other models, but the build quality and performance is well worth it. It's obviously built for gaming, but it has the raw power to run resource intensive programs. You won't be disappointed with this bad boy.

I purchased this laptop last week and I am loving every aspect of it. My day to day life involves programming and training heavy deep learning models and this laptop hasn't given me a single reason to be disappointed. Top-notch quality, looks are premium, keypad and keyboard are the best in class and RTX 2060 is a devil. I am amazed at how MSI can fit so much in such a compact case. I can't recommend this product more.

If you're thinking about which laptop to get that can perform well in many programs and want the hardware to support the use of multiple programs at once, this is the laptop for you. I had never owned a gaming laptop before and was thinking about getting one for the engineering and programming classes coming up, and I have to say: This laptop is great! The build doesn't feel cheap at all, and it is very lightweight. The screen is wide making it a pleasure to game on and casually watch videos and browse the internet. It is an amazing laptop compared to others around the retail price, but if you can get this laptop during a sale that would be the icing on top. Otherwise, if you're looking around for a great laptop... you just found one!

I purchased this while it was on sale, the laptop runs smoothly and has the power to run games at high setting if you're into that sort of thing. That being said it gets quite load and gets hot quickly.

This is the first gaming laptop I've bought and it was a great decision. I don't play very graphic intensive games too often (mostly Overwatch, Jedi Fallen Order, Horizon Zero Dawn) but it handles them with ease. The unit does get a bit hot and the fans can get a bit loud but I have not experienced any throttling related to the heat and I play for 5-6 hours at a time. My main critique is the duribility of the keys. I had to replace both my A and S keys because they broke in half (that has never happened to me on any other laptop I've owned EVER) which was a bit annoying.

I bought this laptop as a replacement for my alienware (my last two laptops have both been alienwares). I compared the newer versions against this MSI, and it was no question which of the two I should purchase. This laptop has not disappointed either. It is crazy fast. It also has dual NVME support, so the day I purchased the laptop i also had GeekSquad install another 2Tb nvme before I brought it home. So with 32 GB of memory, and 2.5TB of solid state NVME memory, this laptop can handle anything I have thrown at it. The 240mhz screen is also awesome for movies, games, and TV while lounging around.

Great laptop, amazing 6 core performance, just enough cores, anymore would be too many. It's a great laptop once you repaste it, add an additional ssd and add throttle top and undervolt the living crap out of it. Thing isnt designed for more than 6 cores and operates as hot as a tea kettle, but you can get it decently cooled and with some mild down clocking you can have her running as cool as an arctic cucumber. Shes a mini beast and I love using her as my daily driver.

I don't play computer games, but this gaming laptop is perfect for the computationally intense data processing and analysis that I need it to do. Few portable workstations come with this amount of RAM or the latest processors, but this one does. It was on sale, and I jumped at this. It's worked great.

I am very satisfied with this computer. Performance is fantastic! Display is excellent. I have played games and no performance issues. Lightweight.

This gaming laptop is incredibly fast. Run smooth and turns on very fast. My only complaints is the battery life and the fan noise.

I needed a laptop that could take heavy video editing until I build my desktop. I have Premiere Pro, after effects + cinema4d, and photoshop open at the same time running smoothly. Which is basically all I want in life right now. Lol. I have no problems so far. You might experience the blue screen tdr failure at first. Just uninstall the Nvidia driver, then reinstall the newest version. This isn’t an MSI problem. I’ve experienced this with Nvidia on multiple machines.

New to laptop gaming. Did not like thick form factor of typical other gaming laptops. Very thin, 3/4 inch, just an inch longer than my 13" Yoga laptop. Pricey but you get 32GB RAM and 240Hz display with it. For the price just wished the SSD was larger/1TB. Bought this for gaming but this essentially replaces my everyday work laptop! Noisy fans but keeps temps at 71-80 deg on Doom Eternal High settings, cools down quickly in seconds after stopping the game.

The laptop is great can be a bit noisy when it starts heating up and the fans kick on. Runs all of my games really well on high graphics settings. Honestly impressed. Ended up buying an additional 1TB hard drive because… well you kinda have to with how big games are these days. One thing i will recommend is re applying the heatsink because the factory doesn’t do the best job.

Excellent elegant gaming/ professional computer. Does get hot when gaming and would benefit from cooling pad. Thin and light. Wish it had option to buy 1 Tb hard ssd. Review prior to purchase shows breakdown to access adding extra internal ssd requires removal of mother board which I have not done and chose to get external usb 3.0 usb 1 TB ssd and currently I am satisfied.

This model has been everything I need and more. Plan on gaming/ editing on it so this will be great on the go. Light, looks great, performs great, and handles multiple apps with ease. only dislike is no finger print scanner, and front camera could be much better although it wont be used much...but for the price of the machine it doesn't deserve any short cuts. Overall very happy/pleased although i'm coming from using a old dinosaur thick alienware laptop

Really sleek design that is low key and does not screaming gaming laptop. I have been playing The new Cod modern warfare on high settings and have been getting around an average 100 fps. Get kind of hot so I would recommend a cooling pad. The screen is awesome and the keyboard feels great for a laptop. I have replaced my old desktop for this gaming laptop. I got it during a black Friday sale and the price was awesome.

I am really picky in many things and one of them is the computer, I wanted something with a great display, great graphics, and a sleek design. I could not find anything that was nice from the outside as it was on the inside, until I found this! I would not pay 2k for it, but because i'm cheap (got this on sale). If money isn't the problem, pull the trigger on this baby! You will not regret it.
