I needed a laptop with updated graphics. True to the review the battery life is short.

this one is hard ti beat for gaming or everyday use it does it ALL very well and even has a built in DVD drive not found on very many others with the SSD and ATA drive i7 you got it all! I gave up the Aleinware R4 17.3 for the MSI and should have done it sooner. Excellent PC

This computer has surpassed all of my expectations, it is fast, and for the size is not as heavy as other computers I have tried. Excellent graphics, sound is clear, the keyboard is lighted so makes it easier for you to work in the dark. In a few words is an excellent computer.

It's quick when you know what to get. My son asked me to buy this computer. I like the key board with lights. Fancy....

I know gaming laptops are a little questionable often times. Pretty expensive, somewhat bulky, and below average battery life. But I think this one really gives you the bang for your buck. flawless performance, looks beautiful, and a nice size if you dont mind the weight.

I went to Best Buy to buy myself a belated birthday present. I had looked at the Best Buy website to see what they had in-store, so I had the instant gratification of having my new toy that day. After talking with an employee in the laptop section, I decided on this beauty. With the 16 GB RAM, i7-7700HQ processor, dual hard drive of 1TB HDD and 128GB SSD, I am in gaming heaven. My comp loads in about 10 seconds, and game loading screens are basically instant. Even when I had an update to finish from shutting down, and then turning my comp back on, it still was ready to go in about 60 seconds. I can honestly say that I have never been more happy with a purchase I have made before. Only drawback being that the employee said I would be getting 5% of my money spent on purchase for in-store credit, and that hasnt materialized. Although that has nothing to do with the awesome performance of my new baby, which is epic.

This is,a nice, quite powerful machine. I didn't gedt it just for gaming, but it has played GTAV nicely. Have done some video editing that it has handled with ease as well. Only downside I don't like, there are not easily removable panels on bottom to upgrade ram or HD. The 128gb ssd is a bit on the small side.

I purchased this computer since I'm a new software engineer. I needed something to perform, but didn't want to break the bank on a MacBook Pro. This computer is excellent- super fast, super reliable, and the huge screen gives me plenty of room to work with.

This is a great laptop computer. I have owned 4 other laptops and this is the highest resolution screen I have owned. It is larger than average and has a battery life of only 1.5 hours at best. The battery is internal so it cannot be changed without opening the case back. The SSD (Drive C:) is to small to handle e-mails and other items. They keep disappearing. I am not a gamer but I like fast computers. The keyboard is very nice that comes with the laptop. Get a separate mouse and turn off the touch pad or you will constantly be inadvertently moving the mouse and this becomes frustrating. This could be considered a desktop in a laptop form factor.

I've had toshiba, dell, and HP before but nothing has compared to how smooth this laptop runs. I did weeks of research looking for a good gaming laptop and for a cheap vr ready laptop this one tops anything i could have asked for, for the price.

Has the technology for better graphics and speed for gaming

The laptop does everything it's supposed to. Great boot time, enough power to handle all the games I throw at it. Just gets pretty hot, and if not for a cooling pad, would absolutely not be able to use this laptop on my lap while laying back in my recliner.
