Easy to work with for a beginner

This was the first built I've done for myself, and as a college student, the price and performance are decent enough. Overclocking is allowed but not to full potential. BIOS is very beginner friendly (meaning if this is your first board, the manual will guide you step by step) and setting doesn't have to be moved around if you don't know what you are doing. As for fan control, I love how I don't have to buy multiple cable splitters with the multiple headers. The controls are also easy to use. I'll suggest looking at Newegg or pc part websites for better details about this product but Best Buy was the closest and quickest place for me to get this motherboard.

I mainly use my desktop for some work and some gaming. The replacement for my old i7 3770 for the AMD 2600x system was so easy to do with this MoBo. It has just what I need in terms of USB ports, fan headers, bios, etc. I usually don't overclock as I don't need the ultra high FPS in every game or performance. This is a solid MoBo. Highly recommended as it also allows update to support 3rd gen Ryzen processors

Built a new PC with a Ryzen 2700x. After countless hours of research I found this board to be the best bang for my buck compared to the X470 boards. I have been using it for about two weeks now and no issues. BIOS extremely easy to navigate, previously had Z97-g45 MSI board so it was the same. If you are looking to save some money on a build without sacrificing performance go for this board!

The red lights are okay but took getting used to since I run my rig in a clear acrylic case with blue LEDs. I had some issues with getting headsets to work when plugged in but figured out they needed to be split and each one selected as either mic or headphones. Some connections werent compatible with the motherboard, but I winged it and got to work. I felt like there werent a lot of connections on it, maybe I'm just too outdated. Otherwise it runs smooth, quick, no issues otherthan I have to reconfigure headsets every time I plug them in.

If your are planning to buy this for Ryzen Zen2, DON'T DO IT, if you planning to buy it for Zen or Zen+, DO IT, it is a great motherboard it is just MSI support is very bad, and BIOS for Zen 2 have a lot of problems, if you buy it from here it worth the try, you will have 15 days to return it, I recommend flash it to latest bios and see if it post all the time if it does keep it, if post sometime times or does not at all just return it and buy a x570 like I did, good luck on that.

I was upgrading my Vive VR PC and went with a Ryzen 7 3800X paired with this mobo. It has all the bells and whistles modern boards have with additional room for growth. It supports NVMe and up to 64GB DDR4 RAM and a wide swath of AMD Ryzen processors - all that I needed to make this system upgrade killer.

AMD processors are know to make use of fast RAM and if you are looking to use the fastest ram you may need to update the firmware on this motherboard or manually tweak the ram specifications in order to make the it work. There are several YouTube videos on how to do this however If you’re not too tech savvy or don’t want to deal with the hassle of updating the firmware you’d be better off getting the newer version.

The value with the included features would be hard to beat. The overall layout has been thoughtfully reworked as in the placement of the cmos battery. The bios is simple and easy to navigate. I have been a loyal MSI fan and this is another reason why.

Paired this MB with a Ryzen 5 processor and it absolutely hums. Lots of configuration options for the gamer or just adjusting the built-in leds for cool affects for non gamers. It even includes additional connections for more leds! Fun and functional.

I recently upgraded my system to the 3700X and since I had such great service from my old MSI B350 Tomahawk it was a no brainer to buy the MSI B450 Tomahawk. Great looking board with a few LEDs thrown in and MSI never lets me down. A+

Works well, no errors with bios or anything. Only complaint is the location with the 1-2 sata connections. If you are missing a mid tower they come real close to hitting the "basement" of the case. Recommend 90* angle sata cables.
