It's been working great so far! The only complaint is it comes with the drivers on a disk. You will need an external disk drive to install if you don't have an available ethernet port.

My previous motherboard (B450 version; the older model) stopped working so I thought it was time for an upgrade. I’ve had this one for over a month now and have had zero issues. Was easy and quick to install. Reminder for those who are purchasing that you will have to install all drivers for the motherboard before switching your old one out or you may run into some issues. It’s not that the board is broken but just needs “updates”. I initially thought there was something wrong with mine but that’s all that was needed. Only downside is it is a bit pricey compared to other motherboards I’ve seen but I was in a rush to get one since my previous one broke.

Great budget build mid gaming motherboard. Took the 5600x and rtx 4070 without issues and just works without issues. I love MSI's bios utility. If you happen to lose power during a bios update, you can simply slap a bios file on a USB stick, stick it in the USB slot and press the button on the back. It'll power on and fix itself like magic. It just works. Don't hesitate with MSI, don't try saving money by going with other brands.

Outstanding board. Very stable and with good power VRMs. I run Ryzen 7 5800X / RTX 3070 Ti 8gb / 64gb RAM / 9tb Storage and have had zero issues with this board. Good features at a reasonable cost.

Just finished my new Ryzen 7000 build with the MSI B550 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI and I’m blown away. This board is a monster for the price. Rock-solid VRMs (kept my 7800X3D cool even at 140 W PBO), super fast BIOS flashback with just a USB (no CPU needed), and the built-in Wi-Fi 6E + 2.5G LAN is flawless – zero lag in Valorant and downloads fly. The RGB headers, reinforced PCIe slot, and the amount of fan headers make cable management a dream. Debug LEDs and POST code display saved me hours when I first booted. Audio is surprisingly good too (Realtek ALC1200 sounds clean with my G Pro X 2). Upgraded from a cheap B450 and the difference in stability and features is night and day. If you’re building a high-end AM4 or AM5 gaming rig on a budget, stop looking – this is the one. MSI absolutely crushed the B550 segment with the Tomahawk Max WiFi. Already recommended it to all my friends. 10/10 – best value motherboard in 2025 hands down.

Honestly bought this to replace my old ASRock motherboard, and I love the MSI so much more, easy to use BIOS, and works like a charm!

Easy to install. Booted up no problem. Solid motherboard. The MSI BIOS can be a bit daunting. There are lots of settings options if you are into tinkering. As long as you enable TPM to get the rated speed of your memory you don't have to mess with much else. NOTE: Often I see reviews where the reviewer blames the motherboard. Sometimes if you are inexperienced you can accidently short the motherboard or improperly install components and the board rejects boot up. There are DOA boards but often failed builds are not the board's fault.

A very nice and well though out MB. I built a fairly middle of the road system with this MB and it did not disappoint. Easy all the way, even updating bios was a snap. It's not as fast or flashy as the x570, but still really good. Most people would never know the difference between the 2 and the B550 is cheaper and more readily available than the x570.

I picked up the MSI B550 Tomahawk MAX WiFi to rebuild my system, and this thing did exactly what a motherboard should do—work flawlessly right out of the box. The VRMs run cool, BIOS is simple to navigate, and it handles my Ryzen setup with no complaints. WiFi 6E has been fast and stable, and all the fan headers plus the USB ports are right where you want them. The build quality feels heavy and durable—nothing cheap or flimsy anywhere on it. Excellent motherboard, lots of fan headers. I bought this board when I thought my existing board failed, but it was the CPU that failed; 2 years into it's 3 year warranty. First time I've ever had a CPU fail. I didn't want to invest into AM5 yet. I'm impressed with this MSI board, lots of premium features. Onboard WiFi, two M.2 slots, and great performance. The only CON: no manual included, had to download the manual. MSI is a good brand. Generally reliable, and good quality.

This is a great motherboard! Solid construction, well designed, and it has a nice bios. Booted out of the box with a 5700x3d without the need for a bios update. I’ve never had an MSI mobo before and I’m not disappointed. Would definitely recommend!
