Honestly bought this to replace my old ASRock motherboard, and I love the MSI so much more, easy to use BIOS, and works like a charm!

Just finished my new Ryzen 7000 build with the MSI B550 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI and I’m blown away. This board is a monster for the price. Rock-solid VRMs (kept my 7800X3D cool even at 140 W PBO), super fast BIOS flashback with just a USB (no CPU needed), and the built-in Wi-Fi 6E + 2.5G LAN is flawless – zero lag in Valorant and downloads fly. The RGB headers, reinforced PCIe slot, and the amount of fan headers make cable management a dream. Debug LEDs and POST code display saved me hours when I first booted. Audio is surprisingly good too (Realtek ALC1200 sounds clean with my G Pro X 2). Upgraded from a cheap B450 and the difference in stability and features is night and day. If you’re building a high-end AM4 or AM5 gaming rig on a budget, stop looking – this is the one. MSI absolutely crushed the B550 segment with the Tomahawk Max WiFi. Already recommended it to all my friends. 10/10 – best value motherboard in 2025 hands down.

A very nice and well though out MB. I built a fairly middle of the road system with this MB and it did not disappoint. Easy all the way, even updating bios was a snap. It's not as fast or flashy as the x570, but still really good. Most people would never know the difference between the 2 and the B550 is cheaper and more readily available than the x570.

Easy to install. Booted up no problem. Solid motherboard. The MSI BIOS can be a bit daunting. There are lots of settings options if you are into tinkering. As long as you enable TPM to get the rated speed of your memory you don't have to mess with much else. NOTE: Often I see reviews where the reviewer blames the motherboard. Sometimes if you are inexperienced you can accidently short the motherboard or improperly install components and the board rejects boot up. There are DOA boards but often failed builds are not the board's fault.

I owned a few of these motherboards never had an issue pairs nicely with the ryzen 5000 series processors didn’t have to do a bios update plug and play just the way I like

This is a great motherboard! Solid construction, well designed, and it has a nice bios. Booted out of the box with a 5700x3d without the need for a bios update. I’ve never had an MSI mobo before and I’m not disappointed. Would definitely recommend!

Motherboard was compatible with all parts and the built in wifi has had no issues. Easy to install even if you have no experience

I bought this mother board to replace my old Asus B450 that had seen its time. This thing is a beast for the price. The only thing i cannot really talk about is the WIFI card on it because i never use it. I always Ethernet my Desktop. It was easy to put the other components into this mother board. My only issue is make sure you have a big enough case because it barely fit in my old case. I need to get a new one. Over all I love this mother board and recommend it to others

This has been the only motherboard that I've used that I've had no issues with. Build worked flawlessly on the first try. I spent extra to get a nice motherboard with a debug LED as I was sick and tired of wasting hours diagnosing issues, just to never need it in the first place because it worked perfectly.

Honestly a really solid mother board for a pretty good price. I like that the I/O shield is built into the motherboard, and that there is included wifi with the board. The small touch of RGB is always nice for me as well, although if your GPU is larger it will be covered up. Overall good clean board for a solid mid range build

Bios is easy to use and good for performance tweaking. Everything functions well.

Works great and it’s easy to set up, also the WiFi is always a welcome feature.

I was torn between the B550 WIFI board or saving $20 for the Non-WIFI version. I know ethernet it always best & $20 was not a huge difference when they were both on sale. The board was easy to install & input all my components! I appreciate that the WFI is there as an extra option & had no issues brand new& out of the box. I recommend this board for a budget build & I don't regret it. I paired the motherboard with a 4000D airflow case!

My previous motherboard stopped working and I had to get a back up. This motherboard worked without any issues! I was lucky this was the only AM4 motherboard best buy had available in store!
