works just as expected with great performance and the build quality is exactly what i was looking for at this price range. the material is a finger print magnet though and is basically impossible to completely wipe off

Love this laptop very nice bulid. Only thing is for me the CPU is always running over 93 on idle i have not yet played any games on it. I don't mind the loud fans. I do love the keyboard.

Everything is good except the fan noise. It gets super loud even when nothing is running and it's on silent mode. Other than that, it gets pretty hot when gaming but that's all laptops.

Bought this for my brother who was looking for a good gaming laptop. Has been working like a charm and runs anything that is thrown at it. A good laptop that will last a long time.

This laptop is excellent so far. The screen is brilliant and the keyboard is smooth and has a very tactile feel when typing. The MSI Dragon LED keyboard customizer is an excellent feature. Bootup happens in seconds and it runs great. The biggest issue with this laptop is the side exhaust fan on the right...where your hand is when using a wireless mouse, its gets very hot. The fan is also quite loud when playing games and watching multiple video streams, when not using high GPU resources the fan is not loud at all. I have no regrets on this purchase and would buy it again if I had the choice to do it over.

Upgraded to this pc from Mac due to daughter needing more flexibility with system in college than what Mac offered. Fan is very loud. Otherwise pleased.

my laptop is going to be returned due to there being a very annoying tick noise coming from the laptop. unsure exactly what it is but I am unwilling to remove the bottom with out voiding any warranties then id be in real trouble. the tick didn't just suddenly start. it is constant on and off since I first booted up the computer. the performance is amazing although it is just a bit loud but expected due to being a gaming laptop. the port selection is amazing but placement leaves you scratching your head. As im typing this review I am becoming seriously irritated from the tick. I accidently ordered the $1800 version and was going to return without opening unit I decided that this tick was going to be the end of me. So far the tick seems to be isolated to this specific laptop and not the higher end model. back to the positives. very sleek and most would not know it is a gaming/ performance laptop that dominates. but most people would be annoyed from the tick. the I suttle yet audible. its lick a constant more on and than off morse code type. the screen is amazing. I love the face recognition and the weight is very light.... for a gaming laptop. this laptop would easily be a 10 out of 5 rating if I wasn't being driven mad by this stupid tick!!!!!!!

It has been only a day, and I already love this machine! Sleek design, powerful hardware, quality components, and fast. The build could be a bit sturdier. And yes, the fans are noisy!

Decent. Good specs, but fans too loud and the monitor glue doesn't last very long as it started falling apart and coming out after less than 6 months.

Great laptop for productivity and gaming. Sleek and professional look. Quiet when using it for work and when gaming.

It hasn't caused any issues that I know of. I originally planned to use it for 3d modeling and play a few games and it's doing its task so I guess I can say 10/10.

It's not that the fans are loud, it's that they have a very annoying tone. It's a terrible sound. It would be one thing if they were just loud and had a wind type noise - but they have this weird tone that you hear the entire time the laptop is on, even when it's cool. Definitely makes it feel cheap. Undervolting didn't make a difference for me heat wise, all the way down by 85.9mv (any more than that and it crashes for me). The only way I've kept it somewhat cool during gaming is by taking the turbos down to 2.6ghz - which is a huge reduction in power. For me it doesn't matter because all I got this laptop for was Apex, so reducing the CPU power is fine. Honestly if it wasn't for the super annoying fan sound (again, just to reiterate, it's a weird tone, not just loudness), I would say this is a very decent laptop for 1100. If you are going to be using headphones while using this laptop, and aren't in a situation where other people around you will be annoyed by the weird sounds these fans make - go for it. It's a very decent laptop for 1100.

After 6 months of use this laptop has proven to be an excellent investment. The graphics card, CPU, Ram and SSD allow me to run anything that I want.

Serves my purposes as a school, work, and personal laptop perfectly. The only complaint I have is having to choose between loud fans and heat.

The first one i received seem like it had a loss wire for the webcam. It was returned and i got the same laptop. runs amazing

Good product, just need to do some tinkering when you get it to optimize battery life, fan noise, and temperatures.
