Customers enjoy the GS66 15.6" gaming laptop's performance and graphics capabilities, finding it suitable for both gaming and work applications. However, some users have noted that the fan noise is quite loud, especially during intensive gaming sessions. Concerns regarding battery life and heat generation during extended use have also been raised.

Excellent speed and fairly lightweight. My son games and does video editing so this works well for both.

This is one of the best gaming laptops money can buy! I would recommend it and match it to any other gaming laptops on the market! My 20 year old grandson games with his friends when he wakes up in the morning and sometimes all night long! He says its the best birthday present he could have ever gotten during these covid times! He picked out several gaming computers to look at and this one beat all the others!

This laptop is an absolute work horse. The only issue I had was that the fans died from heavy use after a year. Got it RMAd and I think they installed better fans because they are quieter and keep the laptop cooler. Overall runs games and work software with no hiccups.

Dropping almost $2K on a laptop when I already had a gaming desktop was no easy decision. Fortunately, I got it home, fired it up and any potential buyers remorse was quickly disregarded as this thing absolutely SMOKES any game I throw at it. Performance aside, one of the consistent complaints I had read about it was that the fans were loud and yes, out of the box they are. That said, if you drop it down to "quiet" mode and leave it there, you sacrifice about 3% performance and gain near silence - seriously. Much ado about nothing.
I can't possibly recommend this laptop higher.

I bought this PC as a replacement for a 2016 HP laptop that was about to bite the dust. This thing has everything I could have dreamed of and more, 240hz display, RGB keyboard, blazing fast graphics processor and Intel processor. I ended up doubling the RAM on day one out of the box and this machine absolutely screams.

Good for a 15". (I had a 17" ROG Asus before, it died)
This was the best I could find that was in the store inventory at the time.
Dragon Center quit working within a week. I keep unpinning the Xbox, but it keeps coming back.
It does have a 3060 and RTX.
I will say it is VERY quite and seems to run well for MMORPGs and it was a quick download of launcher of game I was testing.

This computer is the first gaming computer I've owned. I like it. It hasn't slowed down since the time I have purchased! It acts like its bran new and play games very well! I love the customization on the keyboard! Also, according to my brother, you get your money's worth.

Amazingly fast laptop for the price but a couple annoyances. While gaming it is LOUD and HOT. They keyboard is also pretty terrible. Screen is great.

Coming from the msi gs63 this model is such a refresher. The keys and whole chassis seems so much better. The screen is nice too at 240hz it definitely feels smoother than the 60 I was working with previously. Overall it kind of feels like a Razer blade 15 but without the higher price tag. Also the graphics card is a huge upgrade. The 1060 was running games fine but this 3060 absolutely blows it out of the water. The high fps in game mixed with the screens refresh rate is great. only con i see is the I/O placement and a bit of bloatware.

Definitely a well design and fancy laptop for work and gaming. I've had it for a week and was going to keep it until I compare with Asus g15 side by side. The price for this GS66 just can't justify after compare what Zephyrus g15 offers at same price. I won't go detail here but also want to mention that G15's speaker and fan noise are also better. I would keep this laptop if the price is $200 cheaper.

So far, I love this laptop. I would recommend getting a cooling pad if you are going to use it heavily for more than an hour. However, with a 3060 inside a laptop, IDK how you'd expect to get away with the stock thermal cooling only.
If you plan on trying a docking station, I'd recommend not. I tried this laptop with several high end docking stations, and the tech just isn't there yet for seamless use. It might do some basic stuff or only a single monitor but I wouldn't try to set up a multi screen gaming setup with this and a dock.

We got it to play Ark, it runs it beautifully. We love it, it runs all the streaming services like it was nothing.
