Customers praise the MAG 275QPF X30 monitor's vibrant and crisp colors, buttery-smooth high refresh rate, and sharp resolution, resulting in excellent motion clarity. The monitor's connectivity options, including multiple HDMI and DisplayPort inputs, are also appreciated. However, some users note the absence of built-in speakers. Overall, the visuals are considered stunning and the monitor is easy to set up.

Let's just get right too it: Pretty big, Brilliant display, easy to use, perfect for all sorts of applications.
So on a daily basis: I use this as a monitor to extend my gaming my laptop to a second screen, and cranks. It is nice to have the bigger display for several of the games (especially the racing ones).
I also use this for software development second screen, on a different laptop and it is nice with clear text, wide screen, can get a lot done.
Very deep and rich colors. You can see deep details, no flicker, no motion blur...
Down side is no speaker built in for daily usage. But that isn't a big knock, since usually using headphones with the games.
Adjustable elevation, with a good amount of distance, but for me doesn't get high enough to be directly across, so I did have to put something else under the base to get a little higher.
For those that need a tilt, it is there as well, and the angles don't see to degrade at all on the picture. Still very clear and detailed.
So if you need a 2nd screen, or just a larger primary screen... good to go

Best 27" Gaming Monitor, Fast Refresh, 2560x1440

I've been using the MSI MAG 27QPF X30 27" monitor for about a week now and I'm impressed. It's the best 27" IPS gaming monitor I have ever used, EVER! The standout for is that for some reason the screen feels big - maybe it's the WQHD 2560x1440 display, maybe because it's got a fast 300Hz refresh rate and 0.5ms response time. I'm not sure what it is, just MSI have made something amazing. I have been testing it on my custom gaming desktop (RTX 4000 series) and for gaming it's just wow wow wow. I'm connecting via Display Port (cable included) and getting no lag, or artifacts - images are crystal smooth (Fortnite). For an IPS even the blacks are very solid (Starfield). Side by side with my work laptop as an extended display, and my work laptop is an OLED display, and even compared to OLED the color rate and sharpness are impressive. The only real caveat is the on screen menu - is comprehensive and it's easy to get lost in the options e.g. blue light, game mode, CEC, cross hairs, so many options!
There are 2x HDMI ports and 1x Display Port. I plan to use it as a dual use monitor, between gaming and when I work from home, as an extra display. There's no speaker, but there is an audio jack built in. The MSI MAG is height and tilt adjustable, but there is no swivel - I kind of wish there was some swivel. I do like that's a true flat screen - I'm preferring flatscreen monitors more and more these days.
FWIW, the setup is easy. You do have to screw in the stand (4 x screws, included). It's a proper VESA mount, so the MSI MAG would be great if you want to fit it to a monitor arm. It's also the only monitor I have found in a while that plugs directly in, no power brick, Great if you want a clean gaming setup.
I was almost going to give the monitor a 5/5 but held back, only because (and this will seem unfair) it's such a great monitor, if you're thinking of getting it I would say yes, but if you can get the 32" do it, as I think the 27" is near perfect and a 32" would be absolutely perfect!

While I am not new to the MSI brand, I had never tried their monitors. When I was looking to replace my 13-year-old monitor that was the last one we had that had a really thick bezel, the MSI MAG 275QPF X30 27" QHD 300Hz monitor looked like one that would complement my multi-monitor setup quite well.
Out of the box, it comes with a height-adjustable stand that is in two pieces and easily assembled. The stand does tilt and can rotate, and can also swivel at the base, but with a rather limited range. It will attach to the back of the monitor using screws in the VESA mount. Since I was going to be putting this on monitor mount arm, I didn't spend the extra time to attach it to the stand to only remove it and mount it to see the full range of all the motions. It also comes with a DisplayPort cable (but no HDMI). The design overall is very minimalistic-ly nice. Just a smaller sized logo on the back, and the typical msi on the front, there is not much of a bezel around the top and side, and just maybe a 0.5" on the bottom.
For inputs, there are two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack output (but no built-in speakers, which is fine with me). For controls, there is a single, "Do it all" stick on the back, near the bottom right when looking at the front. This turns it on by pressing the stick straight in, accesses the monitor menu (when on), and when pressed for a few seconds, it turns it off. Different shortcuts can be assigned to the directions that activate when the stick is moved to one of the directions with the monitor menu off. There is a default set assigned, but they are all easily changed, if desired. While I really prefer to have the control buttons along the bottom as I have a 3-monitor setup, at least this is not too far up from the bottom as my other two monitors (and I change back and forth between my work laptop and my personal PC quite a bit as I work from home most of the week and it fairly difficult with the location on especially the center monitor).
For 27" monitors, I feel that QHD (2560 x 1440) is actually the perfect resolution, especially after working with one that is 4K/UHD. The picture on this monitor is really sharp. I was able to get it working just fine in Window at 300Hz (I did go ahead and download the monitor profile driver from their site just to not have it as a Generic Monitor in Device Manager), even with my decently aged RTX 2070. When getting into the games I normally play, for some reason, I couldn't get one to run higher than 144Hz, even though it was set at 300 in the settings. Even then, it played well. In another game, it ran great at the full 300Hz, with all the gameplay and transitions looking so smooth, and the colors looking great with HDR10 enabled. The 0.5ms response time is nice.
I don't think that you can get a better 27" monitor with a 300Hz refresh rate for this price point (well, currently you can't even get any other with a 300Hz at any price). This is definitely one to look at!

I have a customer gaming rig that I have built (I9-13900K with 32GB of DDR5 RAM, 7900 XTX Hellhound, 70+TB of HDD & SSD space, etc) specifically for playing games at 4K (have a 4K gaming monitor too) and 1440p gaming. I obviously know that not every game is going to be playable at 4K 120Hz and so when it is not I will switch down to 1440p and of course move the game/window over to this monitor. I am so happy I got this monitor because of that because having a $1000 4K monitor that I couldn't utilize to it's full potential for some games kinda made me sad, but now it's not an issue. Woohoo!
First Impressions
This monitor is nice, sleek & just the right size for my dual monitor mount. The included cables, the buttons, everything about this monitor screams premium gaming monitor. I could not be happier with how it looks on my desk.

Gaming
This is where this monitor shines: 1440p gaming. I was able to play CS2, WWE 2K25, Madden, etc. and between the high refresh rate, and the super low response time I was playing very well. I even let both of my sons have a good playing some games on the computer to see what they thought. They both liked playing on it better than on my 4K gaming monitor when we would do side by side tests. For me it depended on the game (WWE was better on the 4K while CS2 was better on this 1440p monitor). I think for CS2 it was me reverting back to being a teenager and playing CS 1.6 and then CS:S on an old CRT and then even up to 1080p. I played Squad on Steam and I enjoyed it on both monitors. For me it was a draw; which really means it's a win for this 1440p monitor because it's about $700 cheaper!

Video Editing & Other Work Related Tasks
Since I work from home I will of course be using the same monitors that I game on. It took some settings tweakings of both monitors to get the colors & brightness to be just about perfect but I was able to do so with ease. I also do some audio & video editing both for work and for fun (we go to the drag strip each month & I race my cars so I have to edit the videos for posting on social media). I really liked how vibrant the colors were from my video recordings. Plus at 27" I have a lot of space to work with as far as being able to have tons of windows open.
Rating: 5/5
Conclusion
In closing, this monitor is about 30% the cost of my 4K gaming monitor but it performs just as well, looks almost just as good, and has become me go to when I can't run a game at full 4K resolution. 2K gaming is just as good to my 40 year old eyes and so I could not be happier with this monitor.

Fantastic Gaming Monitor

The MSI MAG 275QPF is a fantastic gaming monitor with all the newest features and specs you'd expect in a good gaming monitor. It is a 27 inch, 1440p, 300hz HDR monitor. There are 2 HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort inputs. The HDMI 2.1 ports are nice if you want to connect a modern console and get the best performance. Setup is about what you'd expect with a monitor. I've test quite a few monitors in my day, and they're all about as annoying as each other. The ports are facing down, which is nice for cord management, but is always a bit cumbersome for me to plug in cables unless I am able to fully see around and under the monitor, which usually isn't the case once I have it up on my desk. Either way, it's no better or worse than 90% of the other monitors on the market. Once connected, you can navigate the menus and such via a little nubby joystick thing around the back. I've grown fond of controls like this and it is very welcomed here. Instead of trying to navigate 5 different buttons which you can't see, you just use the one joystick to move up, down, left, and right, and click to select. It's all very intuitive. Performance of the monitor is fantastic. Colors are bright and beautiful. Contrast is great, especially in HDR content. I tried out several different modern games , but only up to about 144hz. My setup can't really go beyond that. Performance at these levels was fantastic. Everything was nice and smooth, exactly as advertised. It's nice to know that if I upgrade my setup, this monitor should be able to handle it with ease. Overall I am very happy with this monitor. It offers all of the specs and features I need as a gamer and performance is top notch. I would 100% recommend.

After years of using larger monitors, and slowly following the advancements into IPS panels and marginally higher refresh rates, this jump feels like a difference. 300mhz is a visible difference from 65 and 70hz panels, even 100hz. the IPS panel is bright and crisp. This monitor is aimed squarely at the the FPS crowd, and I think it delivers. Support for HDR, G-Sync and Freesync are included, which shows how forward thinking they were in creating this display. The joystick style control button and the thicker bezel around the outside edges of the monitor are choices I would have loved to see differently, but don't really impact the performance of the monitor. The highly adjustable stand and included HDMI cable are thoughtful touches that you don't find with other monitors. Some of the MSI extras like the crosshair feature are things that I won't be using personally, but the tuning software is helpful. Colors are crisp and bright, and blacks are deep and not washed out. IPS panels always seem to give off more light than OLEDs, but that is a comment that I usually would make about a television, and darker scenes, rather than my computer monitor. As I mentioned before, the refresh rate is amazing, with little tearing or artifacting observed in my tested games. I would recommend this monitor for anyone who is interested in something to keep up with their fancy gaming computer, but doesn't want to spend old school plasma prices.

Sleek design, easy setup, and great value. It’s the monitor I recommend to anyone wanting performance without going overboard. You’ll notice the difference immediately.

$300 for a 300Hz 1440p 27" HDR LED monitor - what has the world come to. Mind boggles at the feature spec you are able to now purchase at that low of a price point. On paper, this is an almost perfect monitor. Just that 27" for me at least probably does require 4K, but its only useful for content consumption. If you want the highest refresh rate, not many GPUs would be able to handle 4K at that FPS anyways, so for gaming 1440p is plenty enough.
The setup is easy enough, the stand is pretty adjustable, with decent height adjustability. It has a couple of HDMI ports and a display port. Its the latter that I have been using and have not had any issues at all. I didn't really need to faff around with the settings, and the out of box settings just seemed to work for me.
Again at that size of 27" when reading text or browsing the web, I do sometimes miss the 4K resolution. 27" is right on the border, anything smaller is fine with 1440p, and anything above warrants 4K. So 27" for content consumption teeters on needing that resolution. But I was so immersed with the excellent video quality during gaming that resolution was the last thing on my mind. Esports title feel silky smooth, and AAA titles with great panaromas look life like.
Its a definite plus from my end.

First, the assembly was as simple as it could be. Just a few minutes and it was up and running. I like that it can tilt, swivel and adjust height to your liking. The VESA mounting allowed me to use it alongside another monitor without taking much desk space.
This is for serious gamers, which I still consider myself to be although not as much as I used to. After all, I’m 62 and with grandkids starting to pile up, I’m starting to slow down a little bit. Still, I can’t stand any gaming monitor with a refresh rate of less than 120Hz. My preference is 240hz with a response rate of at least 3ms. But this MSI MAG 275QPF surpasses even my ideal refresh rate with 300Hz and the response is within 1ms if not better.
To be honest, there were no games that I played on this thing that didn’t impress me. No motion blur which is something that bothers anybody, not only serious gamers. Brightness was excellent and if I had to complain about something, I would complain about the lack of 4K support, but it wouldn’t be for gaming since I don’t think that aside from spatial computing games, 4K is that important today due to the high demand of GPU. After all, the action and quick response are what really matters. That being said, I use game monitors for professional work as well and I often need extra resolution. But for the surprisingly good value, I can’t complain.
The rapid IPS panel supports wide viewing angles, and the color accuracy looks great for the type of games I play. According to MSI and my eyes agree, It covers 89% of Adobe RGB and 130% of sRGB. The colors are vibrant and punchy with good blacks. Not ideal for video editing, but great for gaming.
With two HDMI 2.1, one DP 1.4a, and 1 x USB-C I had not issues connecting to my gaming computer and to my laptop. However, I wish it had a Thunderbolt port as well. Also, I could complain about the lack of a built-in media hub, but I already have a standalone one that I like and thus I didn’t miss it.
I’m sometimes skeptic about AI being thrown everywhere, but it seems that the AI Vision does more than just a light sensor would. It adapts to brightness and darkness automatically and almost instantly. As for Adaptive Sync, it worked very well with my Alienware and my Asus gaming computers.
Overall, this is a great monitor for the price. My favorite feature was the 300Hz refresh rate which got rid of blurs that I was experiencing with my other monitor.

very good budget monitor, does everything you need it to do and has some nice features more probably than what most people would ever use but nice to have, picture quality seems fine, its not an OLED but its not gonna burn in or break the bank. can't beat this for the price. there doesnt seem to be built in speakers but i use my headphones anyways. has headphone plugin which is nice. the instruction book that came with it had no english words so you will have to take your time with it if your unfamiliar with unboxing monitors.

Monitor is overall great, but the default color is garbage and needs calibration.
The bezel on the monitor is quite big and bigger than my older LG monitor.
This is a IPS panel so blacks are really just gray and whites arent that white.
Thats just the way IPS is though. The monitor I received has 0 dead pixels but it
does have too much light bleed in the top-right portion of the screen and I do notice it, but its not that big a deal to me. Again this is a IPS monitor and its random to how much and where you'll have light bleed at on the monitor. In games this monitor works great. Very responsible and fast. No ghosting or blurring.
The stand on this monitor is a big bigger than it should be and the plastic on the entire monitor feels cheap, but the stand works great and is fully adjustable and rotatable.
The real negative things about this monitor to me are #1 the power/menu button is on the back of the monitor and just annoying to use. #2 The inputs are placed vertically so you can't ever actually see the inputs on the monitor unless you put your head underneath it or rotate the screen. #3 Which is the biggest issue I have with the monitor. It switches resolutions VERY slowly. Its literally 4 seconds slower than my LG. Now this shouldn't matter 99% of the time, but for those that run other monitors in other resolutions or play games in other resolutions it does
