Solid upgrade for my old DDR4 PC

Pros: - A lot of rear connectivity options - Enough fan headers - 4 NVME with heatsinks & 6 SATA - Easy XMP settings from BIOS and easy CPU overclocking - Compatible with huge coolers like the Noctua D15. Cons: - SATA connectors could have better placement for cable management. Overall: Solid motherboard with plenty of features if you're on a limited budget to upgrade your old DDR4 PC.

Has everything most could want in a motherboard. Built in WIFI, USB 3.1/C, 4 memory sockets and 4 PCI slots. Used with Intel i7-12700 CPU, RTX 4070ti, and 32GB 3200 RAM. Built-in IO is nice, and had no problems fitting into a Fractal case.

Bought this motherboard because I read reviews saying it was easy to setup. Had no issues with the installation or setup of board. Loaded straight into BIOS after hitting the power switch. Bought for $270.

Was recommended to get this due to it's ability to hold the new intel chips. Have to say I love the design and the look but it also is super fast. Pick this up for a great deal!

This motherboard is a great value for what it offers. First off it's one of the few Z690 ddr4 motherboards that are available. This a godsend since ddr5 prices are insane, costing more than the motherboards and processors they're paired with. The integrated io shield is also nice since installing them is just a waste of time. Also this a no thrills motherboard that isnt making you pay for more than what you get. It foregoes any flashy rgb with a nice black design and invests in vrm heatsinks which motherboards of old ignored. This is a great buy that i would definitely recommend. I paired it with a 12700k and a evga ftw 3 ultra 3080.

After researching several boards this board seemed to be the best bang for buck for a Z690. I was initially going to go with a Z690 Pro A Wifi, but then saw that the Tomahawks VRMs ran a little cooler, comes with better onboard audio codecs and outputs, and better NVME heatsink options for not that much more. Furthermore this board offers a lot more features (USB connectivity, RGB headers, etc) and better RAM compatibility out of the box compared to the competition in this price range. I am not a fan of MSI's dragon center software but that aside, I think this is a great board for Z690 DDR4 boards.

This is the second time I've bought this board. The first time was for my sons build and I was so impressed that I bought one for myself. Love it. Looks wonderful in my Lian Li Dynamic Evo

Good hardware... has all the features one would really need and great power delivery. Pairs with 12700k well. No RGB which is not a bad thing. A bit expensive since z690 but not many choices with DDR4.

This motherboard has everything you need built into one device - Wi-Fi 6 antenna, DDR4 support, multiple NVME slots, etc. don’t waste your money on a DDR5 board because they just aren’t worth it right now.

Works right out of the box with shipped BIOS, post with no issues Pros: Intel 2.5GB LAN and WIFI. Integrated IO cover Good rear IO options A better audio codec than the budget options and 4 m.2 slots with heat sinks. Cons: The board I receive came with a CPU fan header pin out slightly bent. (Fingers cross I don’t have to RMA) Overall It's a solid board that I'd have no problem recommending to anyone. *This review is for the MSI Review Rebate Program.*

Was a breeze to set up and use. Only issue was the board was not letting me create an XMP profile and set my RAM to max speed. All I had to do was make a modification to another setting inside the BIOS and then it prompted me to allow for XMP profile and overclock RAM. Not sure why it said it was turned on and locked anyway, but whatever. Figured it out in about 10 mins. If you are still having issues, update the bios to the latest version and you should have no issues at all.

MOBOs are better be evaluated by the total runtime. So far it's been around 1 months. One issue I found was that the PC won't turn on at all for some weird reason. When flip the switch on the power supply then it would come back up. It is yet to be determined what's the issues there. I dare to assume it is the BIOS issue as the Power Supply withstands stress testing and is the 800W Gold standard. Been running with it fo years with no issues. The primary driver for this MOBO was the CPU power subsystem. Previously had MSI MOBO as well and was quite happy. MSI rocks IMO.
