    Great but 2 major dings

    Posted .

First, update the firmware so that you don't have issues with the panel refreshing every 4 hours, just set it to 16. Now the 2 dings: first, to enable any of the OLED Care 2.0 settings, BOTH HDR and Freesync/Gsync need to be disabled. Its annoying going though monitor settings every time to enable and disabled them. Second, if you are using PIP or PBP, both HDR and Freesync need to be disabled as well. The monitor for some reason doesn't store what those settings were in memory, so whenever you turn off PBP or PIP, you need to manually enable HDR or Gsync. Besides that its been great, follow a guide on YouTube for the settings, and i used Nvidia control panel to lower the colors 5%, and its been great. Good value.

    Fantastic QD-OLED! Never going back.

This is my second 34" QD-OLED. I had the alienware 3423DWF. The interface is faster and it supports hdmi 2.1 4k 120hz Console downscaling which the Alienware does not. The stand is also more versatile. The QD-OLED panel is flawless and everything from Microsoft Teams/Outlook to playing Balder's Gate 3 looks outstanding. The back of the panel with the dragon etching looks great.

I purchased this monitor and was pleasantly surprised by its picture quality: bright, rich colors and deep blacks, as well as excellent factory calibration. High refresh rates and ultra-fast response times ensure superb clarity in even the most fast-paced games. This is my best purchase.

This reveiw is for the SHOUTOUT program for MSI. It is truly a great monitor with all the bells and whistles. I bought it purposedly for my PS5 and Xbox X for the 2 HDMI 2.1 and love that option. It works great with my 4080 Super as well. Great combo

    Good Display with awful software

Beautiful monitor however there are two major software issues that prevent me from being able to recommend it. You will be prompted every 4 hours of use to run "Panel Care" - this requires user intervention to skip (taking your hands off the keyboard to use the navi button on the screen) or it will hijack your monitor and leave it un-usable for 5+ minutes. If you skip 3 of these prompts you will be forced to execute this process. This happens during daily use and is unacceptable when using this as a primary monitor. This is easily the single most aggravating issue with this monitor that is leading to me returning it. The second issue I have problems with is that the monitor OSD can only be accessed when you have a valid input. This is fine 90% of the time, however when you are troubleshooting input issues, it becomes a nightmare to use. Until some serious considerations are put into their firmware, I can't reasonably recommend this monitor

I very recently got this monitor and so far it's lived up to expectations. There are some quirks to be aware of so read reviews. But it's easy to setup, all of it's functions are working great, and 'Just works'

    MSI False Description

MSI is trying to pass this panel off as a 3rd gen/next gen panel. It is not. It is a gen 1 panel with the worse subpixel layout that they've slapped "AI" into the branding to try and label it is a gen 3 panel. Do yourself a favor and wait until the proper "next gen" panel comes to ultrawide, or look at the options with a 16:9 or 32:9 aspect that actually have 2nd and 3rd gen panels.

2 minutes after turning it on it wants to shut down and when in a game it will keep shutting down every like 2 minutes.
