Seemed like a great price for an OC version of the 5700XT but ended up returning it and going with a 3 fan version.

I recently built a pc in the NZXT H1 case for my girlfriend and I needed a small graphics cars. Although I could've gone with a 2060 or 2070, I wanted something that would age like fine wine and this cars was perfect. When it first releases it was competing with the 2060 but with the new recent drivers it gets similar or more frames then a 2070.

Works great overall but the drivers still cause game crashes so I can't quite give it a 5 star.

I purchased the first MSI RX 5700 XT Mech edition and installed it in my gaming rig right away. Setup was awful! Games would crash almost instantly, or the screen would go black. When the card did work, I'd get a random shutdown and restart. It turns out that AMD's software suite is the culprit!! Got the card to start working after I changed settings to completely close AMD software. Performance was on par with RTX 2070 super. I returned the card due to fan whining... drove me nuts!!
I exchanged the card for another MSI RX 5700 XT Mech Edition, I booted up the computer and started to run benchmarks and poof! It fried not 30 minutes out of the box!! MSI has fallen from grace, I'd avoid their products until the new NAVI series comes out. MSI is dumping junk GPU's on store shelves to make space...

Memory runs hot. Doesn't seem to bother it too much. You can lower them a bit by replacing thermal pads but under most loads its fine. Kind of annoying you have to do that maintenance yourself. I hope saving a few cents during manufacturing was worth it. Still great at 1440. Was a good deal for a card when it was <400.

This is a solid performing video card based on AMD Navi. It is on par with an RTX 2070 from Nvidia. It has adequate connections and is well built. The card nicely matches a variety of motherboards and looks good in different cases. It has a nice back covering. The fans are quiet. It nicely matches the MSI Z490 unify ITX board.

Bought this card looking to upgrade from an 1660 3gb in my prebuilt. Card gave great performance when it was cool. Games like Warzone and Apex Legends made it run really hot and loud. Really bothered me so I returned it and bought a 2080 super. Good card, just wasn’t for me.

I really wanted to love this card for my new 10th gen Intel Gaming Rig. Installed with a breeze however putting it through its pacing proved to be a challenge due to high heat and very loud fans. The average temperature would hit 90C on the junction point which is basically the core of the GPU, way too close to thermal throttle. The fans would ramp up very quickly and you are forced to wear headphones to drown out the noise. Not cool at all! The only way I found a work around was to undervolt the GPU with the AMD Adrenalin Software and that worked maybe half the time before resetting itself due to crashing. Nice try MSI, however the thermal cooling for this beast is not tamed.
