Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the excellent MSI BIOS, easy setup, and strong performance of the MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI motherboard, along with its good value for the price and extensive features. However, some users express concerns regarding the limited RGB customization options, VRM overheating, and the placement of fan headers. The board's quality and accompanying software also received mixed feedback.

Pros. 1. Lots of features like 2 M.2 drives. PCIE 4.0, full support for 3rd gen Ryzen and lots IO ports USB 3, Optical port, USB type C, WIFI and bluetooth. 2. Great for up to Ryzen 7 3800x. Cons. 1. Horrible VRM, heat issues. 2. Because of the bad VRM it's not ideal for anything above an 8 core CPU. Forget about using a 12 or 16 core CPU with this motherboard. If want a good upgrade path avoid this motherboard, but if it's cheap enough it's a good full featured motherboard for 8 cores or less.

Dont know why this motherboard gets so much hate. No it doesnt have perfect vrm but it is a pretty good x570 board feature wise. Also the bios is one of the better ones on x570 boards

Bought 2 of these motherboards for my kids' PCs. Currently running with Ryzen 7 3800x. Significant improvement over their previous rigs running an A10 and a Ryzen 3. Install went pretty smoothly on one. The other had an issue where the video card was not outputting any video. Reseated the RAM (DDR4 3200) and everything fired up as expected. Drivers (sound / networking / etc) installed smoothly from the disc provided. These boards were mounted in their old case with old power supply (500w +) and old video cards (only upgrading mobo/cpu/ram at this time). Plugged in old hard drives with Win 10 and did not need to reload, re-install or reconfigure Windows. So far the motherboard has been great. Haven't tapped into the following features included: RGB controller, built-in wifi, or overclocking.

this motherboard is great if you have a certain budget that you have to hit. it comes with two wifi antennas which isn't super necessary if you're going to be using ethernet but it's still an option to have on. although i bought this last year, it's still great, especially for the new ryzen 5000 series cpu's. all i had to do was use the bios flash button at the back of the case and have the USB connected at the back of the case and wait. if bought recently, it comes with the bios already updated and pretty much to use with a ryzen 5000 series cpu out the box. would definitely recommend this to anyone who's in search of a decent motherboard with a good price and too scared to update the bios themselves to use with 5000 series cpu.

Its not a bad board but YouTube reviews do have it near the bottom of others because of heat situations. I recently had some issues with my PC and when I went into the bios, I saw extreme heat readings. So I adjusted my fan settings to always on and saw them drop a few degrees. If you can, go with the Gigabyte or Asus version. A little more expensive but they had better reviews in the described problem above. If you cant, put more fans in. I bought 3 rgb fans (2 intake and 1 outtake, not including the psus fan as an outtake as well) going to but some more fans in to bring the temps down more. But that additional $120 for 3 more corsair rgb fans could have been added to a better mobo

I started out with an Asus TUF x570 Plus WIFI. I was having boot failures and needed a reliable Motherboard for working from home during the pandemic. I purchased this MSI and have been very pleased with the performance so far. Much faster boot speed than the Asus (about 40 seconds vs 2 minutes on the Asus), Mystic Light has been amazing, and overall a much better board thus far. Only issue I had was the board initially wouldn't boot to BIOs and was showing a VGA error. I swapped out the GPU for another with the same result. It took a couple of CMOS resets but it finally booted into BIOs and I've not had any problems since.

Nice stable motherboard with the ability to run Windows 11 once you turn on Ftp in the Bios. Running it with an AMD RX 6800 XT video card, Ryzen 3900X processor, and 32GB of Corsair Ram.

Well Jumping from intel back to AMD, on my last 2 builds I used MSI MOBO, on my Intel i7 6gen Xtreme, I build another Desktop 6 months ago, Ryzen 5 2600X with an MSI MINI ATX MOBO. And now this new Desktop to replace my i7 with a Ryzen 9 3900X. Pros to me are. *2x M.2 slots and the top one has a Cooling Shield, that was a plus for me. *PCI-E 4 (For a Future Radeon 5700xt) *Plenty of SATA ports *Price was Good I was about to go with the gaming plus but for a few extra bucks, I got wifi & BT so I save USB ports for other peripherals. *I like the Black Desing. So far I never had a problem with any of my MSI mother Boards.

So this is a very solid board and it will handle any Ryzen CPU you want to put in it. I know there are a few reviews that complaints about the power system but I'm not having any trouble! Great balance of features and price! I've had zero issues and am very satisfied. Please note: Beware of using older video cards in this board or ANY of the newer motherboards as the bios don't support them!! This is the case no matter what brand you buy! Please check the manufacturer's website for listed compatibility! Ended up having to replace my beloved R9 295x2 as the older cards aren't supported at the bios level. Your card will power up in the board but you get a VGA error and there will be no video no matter what you do!

Got this on sale on Black Friday, and I have to say that I really like the board. I usually stick with MSI or Gigabyte boards, but I am really happy with this one. Everything lined up with my corsair case really well, and the pins for fans and things are in some pretty good places. I wish the CPU fan pins were moved closer to the CPU power as it would allow for better cable management but all in all I am loving it. I do hope BIOS updates keeps coming so that I can still upgrade the CPU down the line. O and I do wish that they included the jumper to reset the BIOS! This is not included and I had to remove the battery to reset the BIOS.

I haven’t had this long but it’s has plenty of fan headers and usb headers. It is missing the front side usb -c which I didn’t like because my last board a cheaper board had one. It has a small fan built on the board itself. It runs a even temp of 39 c when playing games. I have Ryzen 5 3600x, msi 3060 12gb graphic card,850 watt evga power supply,32gb rams and it runs smooth I play cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3 , Wow and many others with no problems. So far so good

Quick and easy setup. The packaging was very nice and informative. Viewing the boards settings and temps in a clickable interface is a plus and the onboard graphics chipset works great with "Warzone" at mid-high quality because of the high VRAM. Reccommend putting the board into gaming mode from the cmos settings, they also have built in overclocking options. ^_^ Only negative properties I've seen so far, is that the downloadable software has pretty much no use besides changing the rgb light color patterns on the board or the colorgrade of the screen. Great value overall, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Quality motherboard with rgb lights on it but the wifi card isn't very good. It doesnt support wifi 6 which most modern internets run. You can upgrade it but its kind of inconvenient that it doesnt come with a better one.

This board is just AWESOME for the price. It handles a VERY wide array of Ryzen CPU's. It has built in Wi-Fi so no need for using up an unnecessary PCI-E slot. If you plan to put in an SSD such as the WD Black that I have there is a slot under the MSI plate above the Graphics card PCI Slot where it can be hidden and the chipset fan will keep the drive cool if needed. The Bios is very easy to navigate and use. Overclocking can be done with easy preset profiles or you can change manually in advanced mode. For the money this board is absolutely great!
