I was nervous about buying a motherboard with the latest chipset as from my experience they can be buggy. My last build was about 3 years ago and I made multiple trips to and from store from where I bought the MB. This was an easy build with respect to the MB and processor. I chose to buy the MB & Processor from Bestbuy instead Craigslist knowing that I could easily return the board within 15 days. The whole process went very smoothly with the only hitch being that I had a very old power supply that didn't have the 8 pin connector. This was an easy fix. I purchased an adapter after which the computer booted up. I paired the MB with a i5 9600k processor. Super fast system. The only issue I had with this build was that the Radeon Vega 56 Graphic Card I chose required more power than what my 500 watt PSU could provide. The system would shut down and restart when doing anything that taxed the the card. I was hoping the problem was my power supply, though was worried that the card may be defective as I bought it off of CL for $180, which is really cheap for this card. I headed to Bestbuy and spoke to an employee that worked in the DIY pc section. He asked all of the right questions and provided a sensible explanation for the issue that I was having and helped me choose a new PSU. He was right and the new PSU solved my problem. What I like about purchasing from Bestbuy is their return policy. They make the whole process easy. This is huge as I've been building computers for over 20 years and have bought many pc components that were either defective or didn't pair well with other hardware. Amazon is cheap and they have a huge selection, though returns are a pain and Bestbuy will price match them as long as the product is sold by Amazon. I've found that Bestbuy is selective in what MBs they carry and it appears that they stay away from MBs that are of poor quality. I highly recommend this MB!

I use to rock a gigabyte mobo but everyone I've had always had some sort of defect with the board from a short or a header not working. This board blows it away. I definitely love the easy Bios settings easy to navigate. And it gives you a advanced bios to, to do even more in depth customization and overclocking abilities. It has very nice mystic light options. The board has a nice red glow lighting and red lettering light up which you can customize from solid to pulse to flickering or even sync up to your game with mystic lighting. Definitely pairs up with a i5 8600k and gives it full potential of the cpu. The support for this mobo is excellent they have a nice dragon app that keeps everything updated along with bios firmware.

After broken pins on my old Gigabyte b360m ds3h, I was looking for a quick replacement at an affordable price. My search led me to my local best buy where I was at first skeptical about my purchase of this motherboard. After installing all the hardware/software, I am pleasantly surprised. :D I was so used to gigabyte's utilities that I was nervous about the switch. Come to find out, Dragon Center (MSI's own OC'ing utility) is as good or better than that of Gigabyte. I love the black and red color theme, and I love that MSI gives back to the customer. Thanks for a great Motherboard! I will be a returning customer.

I purchased this to pair with an I-5 8400 processor, and a Radeon 580. I was skeptical because I have only ever purchased ASUS products (since the late nineties). But i bought this board after having an ASUS board fail. It was super easy to build using a mid tower case. There are ample fan headers and a pump header. along with RGB headers. The performance of the games I play has increased so much that they almost feel like a new game. after upgrading to this board i wonder why i waited so long. i have a glass sided PC case, this MB looks awesome with the LEDS built onto the board and added RGB strips. Mystic Lights is a great feature! Do not hesitate to get this board, it is a great product!

Their are better Z390 motherboards with more features and better VRM setups, but at $140 this particular mobo is great. If you don't need onboard Bluetooth or WiFi and you don't have a OC'd 9900K, this board is just fine. It doesn't have a fancy aesthetic and it's VRM likely cannot keep an OC'd 9900K at an acceptable temp due to its lacking VRM configuration. I'd recommend this chipset for i5 9600K or 9700K with an aggressive cooling setup. I was able to OC my 9700K to 5.1 across all cores and it never exceeds 60C under the heaviest loads with a Corsair H100 240mm AiO. Overall, this motherboard is a great sub $150 option. Look elsewhere if planning to run 9900K over clocked.

Finally got to build my first PC this year and decided to use this motherboard. Actually super great, didn't have any problems figuring out where to plug in certain cables, and the manual was helpful as well. As soon as I turned it on everything worked as planned, which I was kinda shocked about, being a noob and all. I also have quit a lot of fans, and this motherboard delivered in spaces to fit those cords as well. The red LED light on the side also makes my case look pretty cool, since I went for a red LED theme. Overall great motherboard, super happy I purchased it in store since I wanted instant gratification. Thanks MSI! :)

Decided to go ahead and build my own PC for gaming instead of buying a prebuilt or having someone else do it, which I was also trying to do it on a budget. I did a bunch of research and asked friends that have built PCs in the past and I ended up with this board. I'm really happy with my decision so far, was easy to work with, the software that it comes with is nice, I didn't really care that the board didn't have a million rgb lights on it, but it does come with some red accent lights(nothing crazy and they're not that bright) and also has pins for rgb case lighting. If you're looking to build a pc on a budget I would definitely recommend this board.

I've had troubles with other motherboards in the past, and most were very difficult and rather annoying to install. Since my previous motherboard basically fried, I decided to give the MSI a shot, and so far it has worked perfectly. I had no practically no trouble installing it into my PC thanks to its help guide, and my PC has been perfectly now, with literally no errors. So I would highly recommend the Z390 if you want a good quality gaming PC, and are new to building towers.

I had bought this motherboard a week ago and it was working great. About 3 days in my LAN port stopped working. So I downloaded the driver again on another computer to reinstall on the new one. Then I come to figure my USB ports on my main tower case don't work anymore. Then today it completely shut off on me but everything else was working like the fans, GPU and RAM slots. Looks like it shorted out in the back in a small are. Hopeing to return. Not happy.

I bought this along with the I7-8700k one day on a whim. i am so glad i did. this thing ROCKS!, it has every port you could want. it has not one but TWO M.2 SSD slots with options for raid.. the overclock is literally as easy as one click in the bios. its nuts. the backlight is great. have been running this for a few months now with moderate gaming and VR. and it has been awsome. totally worth the price.

This motherboard was DIY Friendly in many ways but did not include screws to screw it in or the Motherboard Mounting screws to mount it in the case, Otherwise, great deal. I really like the Red Lighting in it and how it comes with reinforced areas with areas that are colored to let you know where to put the main sticks of ram in. I also like how it is by stock overclocked.

This mobo is a great product for sure. It accommodates M.2 hard drive which was one of my main motivations for selecting it. The other reason is that it can use the new I9 18 core processor. I installed an I7-8700, but I like the capability to upgrade in the future should I need the extra ponies under the hood. Excellent BIOS mode info. Only 4 star due to lack of documentation. Got it online.

Using it with i5 9600k and so far my new build is running like butter, I have not overclocked yet cause I don’t see the need now. the lights are minimal but I kind of like it subtle and not like a Christmas tree. Over all I’m extremely happy.

My husband has been slowly making his computer better. We got a pretty good deal on this and he’s very happy with the improvements it made. One lesson he has learned that I thought I’d share with anyone looking at this. Please check to make sure you have a compatible power supply in your computer for this. He fried his not knowing he needed more power for his upgrade.

Was looking for an affordable gaming motherboard for my new build. This has many good features but I was sad to learn it was also missing a few. It lacks an audio optical port and also lacks nvidia SLI or NV-Link support. If I would have waited I could have grabbed the newer MSI mobo for only $10 more with these features and RGB lighting.

This is a great budget motherboard for when PC builders do not want to overclock and just want to use their CPUs right out of the box. I have never had any problems with MSI products and I didn't with this motherboard except having to install Intel LAN driver when I booted up windows.

Though this motherboard is a great product I would like to recommend all who look at it to make sure your cpu is supported by this mobo. It says it supports i7 but only 8th and 9th gen so if you have a 7700k as in my case this motherboard will not work. To get the full support list go to us.msi.com

Definitely not a top of the line TV, but you get a lot for sub-$400. Only downside for me is that the power cable is on the short end and plugs in on the left side of the TV, which is opposite of where I need it to be in my backwards apartment.
