I recently installed the MSI GeForce RTX 5090 32G VENTUS 3X OC, and after several weeks of use across gaming, content creation, and AI workloads, I’m very impressed with the overall experience. Performance is exactly what you would expect from a flagship GPU. With 32GB of GDDR7 memory and next generation architecture, the card handles 4K gaming effortlessly and maintains smooth, consistent frame rates even in demanding titles. Ray tracing performance is excellent, and DLSS with frame generation provides a noticeable boost in supported games, making the card feel very future proof. For productivity tasks like video rendering and AI workloads, the large VRAM makes a big difference. Cooling is solid thanks to MSI’s triple fan Ventus design. During long gaming sessions and heavy workloads, temperatures stayed within safe limits as long as the case had good airflow. Under full load the card can get warm and the fans become noticeable, but this is expected for a GPU of this power level. With minor tuning or undervolting, temperatures and noise can be reduced without sacrificing performance. Build quality is good and the card feels sturdy, but it is very large. Make sure your case has enough clearance and good airflow before installing. Installation itself was straightforward, and the card fit well in my ATX case. Because of its size and weight, using a support bracket is recommended. Power consumption is high, so a quality power supply is a must. I would recommend at least a 1000W PSU for stability. Once properly powered, the card has been stable in daily use with no crashes or issues. Overall, the MSI GeForce RTX 5090 32G VENTUS 3X OC delivers outstanding performance for gaming and professional workloads. It offers excellent value compared to other premium 5090 models while still providing top tier results. If you have the space, cooling, and power to support it, this is an easy recommendation for anyone building a high end system.

What I Love: 1. Insane FPS in Every Game: The first time I fired up Cyberpunk 2077 with everything maxed out (ray tracing on ultra, DLSS 4.0), I was getting over 140 FPS in 4K. No stutters, no drops, just buttery smooth gameplay. Fortnite, Warzone, Valorant—all running like they’re on steroids. Competitive shooters feel like I’m seeing into the future with how quick the response is. I can see and hit targets faster than ever before. 2. DLSS 4.0 + Ray Tracing: DLSS 4.0 is like magic. It boosts performance without killing the quality. I can play in 4K and it looks better than native resolution, somehow. Ray tracing used to be something I turned off to keep my frames up, but now I leave it on full blast and my system doesn’t even flinch. Minecraft RTX looks so good it’s like a different game. 3. Future-Proofing: This card doesn’t just crush today’s games—it’s built for what’s next. I tested out some Unreal Engine 5 demos and AI tools, and they all run smooth. I even started learning Blender and doing AI video upscaling, and the 5090 chews through everything. I don’t think I’ll need to upgrade for years, and that’s awesome. 4. Streaming and Recording at the Same Time: With the dual NVENC encoders, I can stream at max quality while recording a separate file in 4K without lag. OBS runs flawlessly, and my stream doesn’t miss a frame. My viewers noticed the difference right away. Plus, the AV1 encoding makes everything look cleaner at lower bitrates, which helps my stream look pro even if the internet isn’t perfect. 5. Cooling and Noise: I was worried about heat and fan noise, especially since I game for hours, but this thing runs surprisingly cool. Even under full load, it stays in the 60s (Celsius) with almost no noise. My case has good airflow, but the cooler on the 5090 is doing serious work. I’ve even left it mining overnight (just messing around), and it stayed chill the whole time. ⸻ What I Don’t Like: 1. The Size is RIDICULOUS: It’s a monster. I had to get a new case (Lian Li O11D EVO) just to fit it, and even then, I had to rearrange everything inside. If you’re not rocking a full tower or a high-end mid tower, forget about fitting this card. It’s also super heavy, so you need a GPU support bracket, or it’ll sag hard. 2. Price Tag is Brutal: Let’s be real—this card costs more than most entire gaming PCs. I was lucky that I saved for a long time and my parents matched some of it for my birthday (thanks, Mom & Dad). But for most people, this is way out of reach. It’s hard to recommend unless you’re really pushing the limits like I am, or you’re a serious content creator. 3. Power Hungry: You need a 1000W PSU minimum, and three 8-pin connectors (or one 12VHPWR cable). That meant another upgrade just to use the card. It also puts out a ton of heat if you don’t have good airflow. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to plan for. 4. Overkill for Casual Gaming: If you’re mostly playing games like Roblox, League, or CS2, this card is massive overkill. It’s like bringing a rocket launcher to a Nerf war. Amazing, but kind of wasted unless you’re really using it for 4K gaming, AI, or 3D rendering. ⸻ How I Use It: I use the RTX 5090 for everything: • Competitive FPS (Valorant, Fortnite, Apex) – High refresh 1440p and 4K, no dips, super consistent. • Streaming on Twitch (OBS with AV1) – Stream + record at the same time, zero impact on gameplay. • Content creation – I edit clips in DaVinci Resolve and do some 3D work in Blender. Renders are so fast now. • AI/ML experiments – I’ve been trying Stable Diffusion, LLMs, and even voice cloning. The 5090 handles it all with ease. • VR – I play Half-Life: Alyx and Beat Saber on my Quest 3 via PC Link, and everything is ultra smooth. ⸻ Final Thoughts: The RTX 5090 is like having a Bugatti for your PC. It’s crazy powerful, ridiculously fast, and opens up a whole new level of gaming, streaming, and content creation. But it’s also expensive, massive, and a bit over the top for casual users. If you’re a hardcore gamer, competitive esports player, or content creator who wants the best of the best, and you’ve got the setup to support it, this card is a dream. I’m 14, and this card makes me feel like I’m already competing on a pro level. Would I buy it again? 100%. It’s the most exciting upgrade I’ve ever made—and I’m just getting started.

I recently picked up the NVIDIA RTX 5090 from Best Buy, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the entire experience—from purchase to performance. Shopping Experience: Best Buy made the process seamless. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely excited about the product. They answered all my questions and made sure I got exactly what I needed. The checkout was quick, and the packaging was secure and pristine. Product Performance: The RTX 5090 is an absolute beast. It chews through 4K gaming like it’s nothing, and ray tracing performance is next-level. I’ve never seen visuals this crisp and fluid. Whether I’m gaming, rendering, or experimenting with AI tools, this card handles everything effortlessly. Temps stay cool, and the noise levels are impressively low for such a powerhouse. Why Best Buy? I could’ve gone elsewhere, but Best Buy’s reliability, return policy, and customer service sealed the deal. Plus, their Geek Squad support gives me peace of mind if I ever need help down the line. If you’re on the fence about upgrading or wondering where to buy your next GPU—don’t hesitate. Best Buy and the RTX 5090 are a dream combo.

Undervolted and still pulling in 230+ frames in native 4k on Black ops 7 without DLSS... Cyberpunk on native 4k everything maxed out with Ray tracing i'm yoinking in a good 80-90... It's a BEAST and not even loud!, thermals are great with an undervolt - doing about 400-470w under a heavy load.

I installed this thing myself like a caveman. It's massive, bulky, and HOT. My games run like butter, my software is seamless, and there's absolutely no reason you should purchase this unless the most important thing to you in your PC experience is gaming graphics. It's overkill. It's too expensive. And, in 95% of cases, a much cheaper 3090 will do just fine. Now, as a professional using 3D software, this was an easy buy. My only qualm with it is was easily 3 inches longer than my 3090, which made it a tight fit in my tower, and the fact that it didn't come with the PCIE cables required to connect to a (slightly) older power brick (2019). I came very close to frying the thing because I was preparing to use just what they gave me, but fortunately a friend caught me and told me I had to get a different kind of adapter.

This thing is massive, so that could be a problem for small cases. It is quiet however, and thermally good. It comes with a gpu support that I had to google how to use, but seems to work. It is generally very pricey though for what it is. I used a coupon and gift certificate to offset, but wouldn't have bought this version otherwise. I have not had any issues with the 4-way power splitter while using a Seasonic Prime 1000 and 4 individual original cables.

What can I say, it's obviously the best GPU on the market, no competition at this end, hands down. I play at 4k and usually always have the graphics cranked up. This MSI version handles it well and is very quiet. I used to have it paired with a 13700k, but now have it paired with a 9800x3d and WOW, what a difference. I thought it was doing good before, but now I'm constantly pegged at 160fps pretty on most games. I didn't think a new CPU at 4k would make such a difference, but it sure did. If you do get this card, don't leave performance on the table.

The MSI RTX 5090 delivers absolutely insane performance, everything feels effortless, from maxed-out 4K gaming to heavy creative workloads. It’s fast, quiet, and ridiculously overbuilt in the best way, making it feel like a true next-gen leap rather than just another upgrade.

Let's be honest, this is a graphics card for enthusiasts. It is wildly overpriced, wildly powerful, overbuilt cooling for overclocking, and absolutely huge. Make sure your case has room for it. That said, as far as performance, it delivers on all fronts.

Very powerful, very stable, also very heavy and very big. Make sure you have room for this megachonk in your case. At least it comes with a small pedestal to prevent it from destroying itself over the weight on the edge connector for vertical cases.

So far, it's everything I could've asked for from an RTX5090. Nice and quiet, no coil whine, and pretty solid at keeping temps low! I doubt you'd ever be able to tell the difference between this and the Suprim that's a LOT more now!

Doesn't get any better then this currently. This runs my LG c2 perfectly with pretty much everything at 4k ultra settings 120hz. No complaints about the card itself and I love the looks of it. Just be careful as it is 359mm long, It is huge and won't fit in a lot of the smaller cases. Thermals are great on the card also. Got it on sale for about 2300ish

This card is a beast! Eats games up no problem at full RTX, full 4K. Keeps temps pretty low but is a power hog. Would definitely recommend if you wanna play in 4K. Would get it before nvidia raises the prices.

Been using this card for a couple months now. after upgrading from the 3090 Ti I can say that this is a nice step up in performance from the previous generation. The stability and performance has shocked me and excided all expectations I've set for it. Would recommend for anyone looking to game at 4K res and high FPS preformance.

Very Expensive, Incrementally Better than 4090

The card is OK - it's just fine. It's a bit faster than the 4090 and nothing competes with it, so prices are whatever the market will bear. If you want the best, this is it. It's not as impressive as cards like the 4090 or the 1080 Ti. More like the 2080 Ti or the GTX 780. MSI's variant here is just fine; all the problems and negatives are inherent to the 5090 GPU itself. The MSI Gaming OC is well built, has a good warranty, stays cool. Lots of small software issues indicate either the launch was rushed or Nvidia doesn't care about gaming GPUs anymore, but all were resolved with a few hours digging around on forums.

Pretty amazing performance, it takes a lot of power. It runs cool on the chip but it dumps heat into a room. I run mine pretty frequently and hard when I game, and the room warms up fast and smells like hot electronics. No melting but I have a PSU that has the new 12x6 connector instead of the first gen 12vhpwr one.
