I recently upgraded to the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 12G GAMING TRIO OC, and the jump in performance has been incredible. The combination of NVIDIA's latest architecture and GDDR7 memory makes this card a powerhouse for modern gaming and creative workloads. Games run smooth at 1440p and even 4K with high settings - frame rates stay consistently strong, even in graphically intense titles.
MSI's design also deserves major credit. The triple-fan cooling system keeps temperatures impressively low while staying quiet, even during long gaming sessions. The build quality feels premium and solid, and the RGB lighting adds a nice touch without being overly flashy. Installing it was easy thanks to the PCle Gen 5 support, and it pairs perfectly with newer AM5 and Intel platforms.

The MSI Gaming Trio RTX 5070 delivers excellent performance for its class, making it a top-tier choice for 1440p gamers. With support for the latest graphics technologies like DLSS 4 and FG, it handles modern titles with ease at very high settings. The card runs cool and quiet, thanks to the robust triple-fan design and solid build quality.
The only major drawback is its 12GB VRAM, which may limit headroom in future AAA titles at ultra settings or in demanding 4K loads. Still, for 1440p gaming today, it offers an excellent blend of power, features, and efficiency.

Just upgraded to the RTX 5070 and I’m really happy with it. I mostly play at 1440p, and this thing handles everything I throw at it. Games look super smooth and sharp, even with settings cranked up.
It runs pretty quiet and doesn’t get too hot, which is nice since my case isn’t huge. Also, it doesn’t eat up a ton of power like some other high-end cards.
I’ve tried DLSS and it’s kinda magic — makes games run faster without looking worse. Didn’t know I needed it, but now I love it.
If you’re not trying to break the bank but still want something strong for gaming now and in the next few years, this is a great pick. Definitely recommend.

Great card for 1440p gaming

This is a great card for 1440p gaming. Let's clear up these online shenanigans as I'm tired of seeing it. These reviewers should be ashamed of themselves for not telling it like it really is so I'll do it here for everyone to see.
The 5070 is 15% slower than a 9070xt at 1440p. The 9070 is also selling at $729+ if you can even find one at that price instead of the marked up $800 cards that keep showing up from Asus and Xfx.
The 5070 is 15% slower but it's also 12% cheaper than a $729 9070xt. The 9070xt at $800 also makes the 5070 23% cheaper and a better deal price to performance wise.
Not to mention the Nvidia software is leaps and bounds better than Amd. Dlss is better than Fsr, and Amd will take forever to get FSR4 into a bunch of games. Dlss looks better and the new transformer model lets you use Dlss on performance mode and it looks better than Fsr on quality. You'll better visual quality and better fps with the Nvidia card.
Best Buy has been having this MSI card in stock a bunch of times. I was able to get mine on launch day without a problem.
If you install the card and for some reason you get a black screen, go into your bios and change the Pci speed setting from auto to Gen 5 or Gen 4 and it will work right away.
The only con I can think of is the card is pretty long, it's about 13 inches long. I'd rather have a long 3 fan card as they tend to run cool and quiet and this card does that excellently.
If your into overclocking you can close the performance gap of this card and the 9070xt. Use after burner, set the power slider to +15%, add +350 to the core clock and +3000 to the memory slider. You'll get within 3% of the 9070xt and for a good chunk cheaper. Don't ride the AMD train, they aren't doing any favors with the fake $599 launch, the cards are anywhere from $729 to $900 from retailers.

Im able to run any game smoothly with no issues. Temps stay under 60°C with games running Ultra 2k resolution. Fan speed stay 30% keeping the Gpu in great temps. COD Black ops 6 runs 200FPS+ High quality amazing card. This card is compared to a 4070 ti Super but the difference is 50% less power with the 5070. Hands down great gpu.

Great experience at Best Buy!
I bought my MSI RTX 5070 with triple fans from Best Buy, and it was an awesome experience. The card arrived on time, perfectly packaged, and works like a dream. Performance is amazing — smooth gameplay, low temps, and the triple-fan cooling keeps everything quiet and stable even under heavy load.
Best Buy made the whole process super easy. Staff was helpful, checkout was fast, and tracking was spot-on. Totally satisfied with this purchase — highly recommend both the GPU and Best Buy!

Attractive, excellent triple fan GPU. It generates framerates well, and is a massive upgrade over the 2080 I had been using prior. I would highly recommend it for any kind of gaming, and I like that it comes with a GPU support, as the card itself is quite heavy.

A great GPU upgraded from a 3070Ti. Right now prices are high due to the chip shortage but i still paid a decent price. Performance is great on 1440p. First time using a MSI card as i have only used EVGA but I am very happy with build quality and overall aesthetic.

This is a great card when it comes to performance and thermals. I have not got the card to go past 62C while gaming. It's killing every game at 1440p and some at 4K.
I did notice if you're using an air cooler on for your cpu then temps will go up about 3 - 5C from the open vent on the back plate of the card exhausting right into the air cooler. An AIO is the way to go for cards designed like this and you will notice way better overall thermals in your system.
If this card had came with 16GB instead of 12GB it would have been added to my GPU goat list.
So far i have seen a few cases were it runs out of vram but in most cases 12GB is fine right now.
I imagine very soon that will not be the case.

Don't let negative online reviews scare you away from this card, especially if you are thinking about upgrading from an "older" GPU. I am coming from a 3060 ti and the performance upgrade at 1440p is substantial. I went from ~40 FPS in Monster Hunter Wilds at med/low settings, to 90+ FPS at max setting and RT. And that is without using frame generation!
Be aware that this card is absolutely MASSIVE. At almost 13.5 inches long this will not fit in smaller cases. I have a NZXT h5 flow with a front mounted AIO radiator and it BARELY fits. However, if it does fit, this cards cooling is absolutely amazing. Even with the OC out of the box, the card never got above 60 at full load.
No the card does not give 4090 performance like the marketing claimed, but if you are looking to upgrade like I was, you will not be disappointed.

Very happy with MSI RTX 5070. So far so good no problems although it’s only been a couple of months. I have always been a fan of MSI graphic cards, and I have never had any problems with them. They run like they should and don’t get too hot. They can play any game that I have tested on Max frame rates and do it well.

Upgraded from an Intel B580 and it's a major improvement! Makes my new OLED monitor look incredible and I get great FPS! Highly recommend! Had some connectivity issues at first but it turned out to be the MSI app causing the issues.

This is an awesome card. I’m getting around 160 FPS on Marvel Rivals, and performance overall has been smooth. That said, the power connector can be tricky. It felt like I was about to break the GPU when plugging it in, but once it’s firmly in place, everything works fine. If you’re seeing RGB lights and the fans spin but there’s no display, chances are the power connection isn’t fully seated, give it a solid push, and it should sort itself out. Took me about 2 hours to fix the display so don’t make the same mistake as me.
Also, double-check the size before buying. Mine barely fit in my case, with maybe 5mm of clearance. If you’re after a solid mid-to-high-end GPU, I definitely recommend

Really good for games at 1440p and 1080p. It's built really sturdy, the only downside being it's length which didn't fit in my Itx case but it's fine.

I have been running a Nvidia RTX 3070 ti for a while and now decided to upgrade for a boost of FPS and honestly this card is perfectly fine for what games I play. I can run most games with all the settings cranked and get above 100 fps which is genuinely 30-50% better than my previous card could do. I did not think I needed this but I am glad I did!!!
