Customers have good things to say about the picture quality, refresh rate, and color accuracy of the Optix 27" LED Curved QHD FreeSync Monitor. Many appreciate the monitor's value for its price and the vibrant graphics it produces. A few customers noted minor backlight bleed, and the lack of built-in speakers was also mentioned as a drawback. Overall, the positive feedback on image quality and affordability outweighs the reported minor issues.

Disappointing Lifespan for a $300+ Monitor

I’ve been a loyal MSI customer for years, so I had high expectations when I purchased this monitor. Unfortunately, after just a little over three years of use, I’m experiencing persistent horizontal lines across the screen, rendering the monitor nearly unusable.
I’ve followed all troubleshooting steps, including resetting the monitor and testing it with multiple devices, but nothing has resolved the issue. To make matters worse, I was informed that my warranty expired just a few months ago, meaning MSI is unwilling to assist further.
For a monitor at this price point, I expected far better longevity and quality. The fact that it started malfunctioning so soon after the warranty ended raises serious concerns about the reliability of MSI products. Based on this experience, I can’t recommend this monitor or MSI products in general, and I’ll be looking elsewhere for my future tech needs.

I finally got this package after my first one was lost/stolen. The extended wait was worth it. Coming from a 60hz monitor to a 144hz monitor is night and day. Extremely smooth and colors are great. Looks very professional and not too gamer looking which is a great option for the office. Gaming is amazing. Th red breathing LED is a nice touch. Love MSI and they have always produced fantastic products. I need to buy more so I can replace my other triple monitor set up.

Outstanding quality 27" QHD 2560 x 1440 monitor

Excellent monitor. 27 inch QHD 2560 x 1440. Color, brightness, refresh rate, lag, and the monitor's look, are all excellent. I would have kept the monitor but decided a larger 32 inch 2560 x 1440 size suited my needs better (text editing, comparing documents). If you don't need a 32 inch monitor, this 27 inch MSI monitor is outstanding.

i had recently bought this monitor to upgrade from a older tn panel that i had owned for quite a few years.
colors out of the box are absolutely stunning for being a va panel, though some tweaking could be done to fine tune the colors.
i wouldn't say this to be a monitor for professional photographer or video editor, but it does look extremely good when gaming or just streaming movies/whatever

Great Curved Monitor With A Defect

Overall very good monitor with Quality Control issues.
Pros:
-1440p beautiful screen
-144hz
-Usually at a lower price or on sale
Cons:
-A single dead pixel that is hardly noticeable
However, other reviews seems to lead me to believe that a majority of units have some form of minor deffect
Overall:
Would be a good monitor to buy if you're looking for a great screen that will likely have some form of defect.

Quick fix for reaching 144Hz over HDMI cable

For anyone who wants to connect this monitor to a laptop that only supports HDMI, yet still wants to reach a 144Hz refresh rate; currently, it can only reach 120Hz:
1. go to NVIDIA Control Panel -> Display -> Change resolution
2. Click "Customize..."
3. Check the "Enable resolutions not exposed by the display" box
4. Click "Create Custome Resolution" and set the Refresh rate to 144Hz, remember Horizontal pixels should be 2560 and Vertical lines should be 1440 by default.
5. Click "Test", if it runs well, checks that resolution box, click "OK" and "Apply".
That's it. 144Hz on 1440p over HDMI cable!

This is a great mid-tier gaming display. You get higher resolution than 1080 (it's 2560x1440), with the HUGE benefit of a high refresh rate (at 144hz). The curved aspect is fine, but not necessary. The color reproduction is decent, but that's not why you buy this.
You buy this because you want the high refresh rate with better resolution than HD (but you don't want to shell out for 4k 144hz)

I think for $250-300 this is a great value monitor.
Some things I really like are: Freesync, 1440p, 144hz, nice menu and easily accessible, the stand is very sturdy and no wobble, 178 viewing angles, zero backlight bleed which is fantastic.
Some things I dislike:
- the vesa mounting is useless unless you purchase extra screws/spacers. They made it recessed and in a very unusable position. Most vesa mounts will NOT work with this monitor. They should have included a vesa adapter. If u need VESA mounting, purchase the extra necessary screws/spacers/whatever. (-1 star)
- There is 100% noticeable ghosting. If that's going to bother you, you should go for faster panel (TN) or more expensive panel (IPS). This panel is a VA panel which is sorta in the middle. I do like how VA doesn't have IPS glow and nice blacks. So far the ghosting hasn't ruined my experience in most games. It's definitely more noticeable in some games over others. (-1 star)
Mine did come with 1 dead pixel, but I can live with that since it's not in the middle of the screen.
I personally cannot use TN panels. I think they look horrid and I have yet to use one /see one that doesn't bother me due to the poor colors and extreme color shifting. This is a good middle ground since IPS can be a little more expensive and more of a lottery with backlight bleed/IPS glow.
I would recommend this if you can get it for under $300.

Bought this to have the same model of monitor to eventually mount on a dual arm. The only difference is this one is 1440p (which looks great) and the other is 1080p (which nobody carries anymore). The response time is great and refresh rate is excellent. Just don’t try to use it with G-sync because it’s not compatible and it will cause some flickering in games.

Pros:
Magnificent color out of the box, great tones, except on my particular panel yellows show up a little green. This is only noticeable if I have the entire panel solid yellow. No other color seems to be affected by this "green shift".
No dead pixels on arrival
EXCELLENT MENU!! Give MSI major props on the one-button joystick on the back that feels at least half way intuitive.
Monitor can adjust which Gamma it runs with. 1.8 or 2.2.
Menu also displays current resolution and refresh rate. WHAT!!??
Cons:
The price. $400 feels like a somewhat high premium for this particular monitor as all it really seems to feature is a curve and sensible menu.
Curved panel will take some time getting used to as at certain distances, the curve is really accentuated. Had to purchase a separate adjustable VESA monitor mount in order to change distance more easily.
Other Thoughts:
The stand is super solid, but takes up a lot of room on your desk. If you are not going with a monitor stand, I recommend getting a VESA mount.

curved and 1ms response time at 144hz, gotta say this is a great choice if you wanna buy once and cry once, wont have to change out for awhile. there are others that have the same spec's but watching movies/shows/games at angles, doesn't feel out of place.

This 144Hz 27" 1440p monitor delivers good image quality and a lovely gaming experience. The colors aren't the most accurate and it could be a bit brighter but for the price you really can't complain, especially when it's on sale

Very nice picture quality, perfect size for 1440p viewing. I didn't know how the curved screen would look but it took absolutely no time to adjust to it. Now that I use it, looking at a flat screen feels unsatisfying and basic.
