This is one of MSI's FLAT SCREEN MONITOR! 165Hz is nice but I personally do not notice a difference from 144 to 165. However the flat screen is a nice change of pace. This will feel better to gamers who use want to focus on what is in front of them. The stand is less intrusive than the curved monitor and has a somewhat smaller footprint. It will take up less "desk space" The RGB lighting isn't intrusive and this monitor offers an amazing experience while gaming. FPS RPG whatever you want to play this monitor will give you a buttery smooth experience.

At 27" 1080p works perfect for me! I am constrained by space needs, so it's as big as I can get. I wanted the VA panels as they have much better colors and black with the trade off being a higher response time. However, this panel does use a technology to try to keep that response time down as much as possible. It also sports a 165Hz refresh, which is butter smooth. I had a TN panel for about two days and hated the washed out colors that persisted no matter how much I changed settings. This monitor is perfect. It also has RGB, which I am pleasantly surprised by. It works with the Mystic Light program I have running for my MSI B450 Tomahawk motherboard, and can be as subtle or out there as you want. Heartily recommend this monitor!

My main problem with this monitor is it's advertised as having 1 ms response time, and it very clearly isn't. The 165 hz is correct but not the 1 ms response time. There is definitely noticeable ghosting and some color distortion when the scene is in motion (motion blur in game disabled of course). My old asus monitor, by comparison, which is a 24" 144 hz 1 ms response, has zero ghosting and color distortion in fast paced games. Even with the response time set to fastest in the monitor settings, ghosting and color distortion is still prevalent, and for whatever reason it dims the screen to the point where it's unusable when the fastest setting is enabled. And that brings up a point of confusion. Having to adjust the refresh rate out of the box I can understand, since that's related to your computer and the connector you are using. But the response time ... I've never had to adjust a monitor's response time manually before, as it's usually standard practice to have it on the fastest setting by default, since why on earth would you want to use a slower response time? Also, the colors out of the box are pretty meh, and the presets mostly look awful. This is strange because it's a VA panel, which are supposed to have much better color accuracy than TN. Definitely expect to do some color calibration and brightness tuning if you do buy this monitor. If you have never owned a high refresh monitor before, you will probably be blown away by this. But I recommend looking elsewhere, as high refresh monitors are a dime a dozen nowadays and you can easily find one that's better quality than this at this price point.

Bought In November and I haven’t had any problems with. I use it for my PS4 and will be pairing it with my pc after I’m done building it. Easy on the eyes and looks awesome. I would definitely recommend this monitor

The refresh rate on the monitor is it's greatest selling point. The color balance works well with video games but needs some adjustments for movie watching or digital art. The reds are vibrant and can be a bit jarring but in gaming it is definitely an attention getter when the action is on.

Overall very good and gaming looks great. Some static screens seem a little lacking even after trying different options. Still pleased with bit for office setting might check around. For gaming no complaints here.

I was able to get it on sale for $180 and it is well worth it! I use it for my xbox and it works very well, the default settings are pretty bad but you have to play around with it to get exactly what you’re after.

personally ive always preferred higher fps game play over quality. at 165hz the experience is extremely better than 60. if anyone tells you there isnt a difference theyre lying. it may only be a 1080p monitor but unless youre running 2 2080 tis in sli you wont always hit 165 fps at 1440p anyways. i for sure recommend this monitor.

This monitor is way better than my 27" HP monitor that it replaced. Great for gaming. I use it for both my PC and PS4.

Before reading this review I just want to throw in I got this monitor at a discounted price. This monitor is full of features and is perfect for any 1080p gamer out there! The monitor has an amazing 165hz refresh rate for all the buttery frames, as well as a 1ms response time so you get a seamless input responses. The monitor also comes with AMD freesync in which will help out with screen tearing and other things.

High quality and pics are sharp. Very well made and highly recommended.

The picture on this monitor is amazing it preforms well and I have no complaints about it and would recommend it to anyone.
