I cannot say enough great things about this MSI monitor. Compared to other curved gaming monitors, it holds up against others in the $400-$600 price range for sure. I was debating going this route or buying the Alienware 25" for twice the price and i am glad i made this purchase instead. My only regret is that i didnt buy 2 of them at first. I will be purchasing a second at some point in the future.

Now I'm reviewing this coming from a 7 year old 27" Asus monitor. I have a GTX980 Ti and the color and response is amazing. I have a RTX2080 super on the way. I'm really happy and the price is great

I’ve used it for about a month so far and the 144hz refresh rate has helped improve my reaction time by an enormous margin I couldn’t ask for a clearer picture either works great in 4K as well

Good color, looks great overall, however I haven't even had this expensive monitor much longer than 2 years and I already get lines across the bottom when starting my PC like it's going to die soon, which I'm pretty sure it will... I restart my PC multiple times in a row just to get the picture to be normal. I've swapped GPUs and DP cables... same issue. I've used the DVI port just fine, so I know it's the DP port itself on the monitor, but the other ports don't get the marketed 144hz so what's the point... I do not recommend buying this.

Barely a year old and the thing looks like a light spectrum when it starts. It was great while it lasted, but MSi won't guarantee their product and this will only get worse. Stay tuned. I would have given 2 stars but the description for that is "fair" and it's not, so...

So my 24" flat screen monitor from 2006 finally decided to quit on me. I recently built myself a new gaming computer and the only part of the system I didn't upgrade was the monitor. So when my 13 year old monitor decided to stop working, I decided it was time to get a monitor that could make the most out of my high end system. I am very meticulous when it comes to purchasing anything and started doing my research. I wanted to balance performance with price and after a visiting dozens of websites and reading many times that number in reviews, I came to the conclusion that the MSI - Optix MAG270VC 27" LED Curved FHD FreeSync Monitor was the logical choice. It also didn't hurt that Best Buy had it on sale for $50 off the $299 regular price. Best Buy did not have it in stock in the store and they told me it would be in by the following Wednesday. I received and email the following Monday saying that it was ready for pickup (nicely done Best Buy!) Monitor was extremely easy to assemble the base and hook up (as most monitors are). So I plugged it in and fired up my computer. To say that I was impressed by the image quality between my old monitor and this one would be an understatement. But then again, it was a 13 year jump in technology! Again, with me being meticulous, I ran the monitor through its paces by firing up several games (DayZ, Fallout 4, Apex Legends, Witcher 3) all of which displayed amazingly. Afterwards I then ran it through the dead pixel test. While I hoped the monitor would be free of any dead pixels, unfortunately it was not. In the lower left corner about .5" up from the bottom and 1" in from the left side, I discovered 2 dead pixels that are right next to each other. While slightly disappointed, ultimately it does not affect my opinion or enjoyment of my new monitor. After almost a week of using the monitor, I have not noticed the dead pixels during regular use and thus this is why I still am giving the monitor 5 stars. If you are looking for a high quality monitor for a reasonable price, then I definitely suggest taking a look at this one. At 144 Hz refresh rate and a 1 ms response time, you aren't going to find much better at this price.

First, make sure you get a DP cable to take full advantage of the 144hz refresh rate. I was able to get 120hz using HDMI but then I updated Nvidia drivers and that went out the window as the screen would just flicker unless in 60hz. So I got a DP cable, set the device settings to 144hz and its been perfect. The analog switch on the back is a little bit of a nuisance when wanting to change settings but not bad, just use the software mentioned in the next paragraph. Overall I love this monitor. I currently am running a 1070ti FE so getting over 144 fps on most new games is not really happening. If you need 240hz, this monitor is not for you. If you want a good 27" gaming monitor under $300 and your local Best Buy has this one in stock, I recommend it. The odd part is, MSI keeps this monitor hidden on their site, as it was probably replaced with MAG27C. Nice thing is, you can use the MSI Display Kit for the MAG27C without any issues. In fact Windows 10 recognizes this monitor as the 27C not the 270VC. Again odd, but no complaints here. So far, I have not experienced any issues others have with pixels dying and so forth.

Hey guys/gals! Well I went to pick this up tonight and I couldn't be happier! So far its a very nice well built monitor and very Crisp and great refresh rate. Games look very nice on it and it is priced decent for what you get! I had to return the Samsung - 27" LCD QHD Space Monitor (same refresh rate as this one) as it started flickering at random times for no reason after just 4 days! I narrowed it down to being a power supply issue or the monitor, so returned it to get this MSI Monitor. I will update months on down the road and let yall know how it performs for the long haul. I bought this monitor for my son's gaming and school work rig that he custom built. He really enjoys the excellent color accuracy, refresh rates, size, and clean lines of this monitor. The blue light management is also a bonus for when he is doing work close to bed time. Setup was easy and looks great on his desk. Great monitor for the money.

I price-matched this monitor at $199 and it is now (01/01/20) currently selling it at this price. You cannot find a better 144Mhz curved panel monitor for this price and from a great company (Best Buy) with awesome customer service. This monitor paired with my GeForce 2070 and fiber internet make gaming as smooth as melted butter sliding on a hot skillet. PLEASE PLEASE... if you are on the fence about buying this... BUY IT! You will NOT regret it. Happy gaming.

My optixmag27 makes my game look more alive.it has the smoothest refresh rate I’ve ever seen it makes a fun experience for gaming.its the best monitor. The curved screen causes a great gaming experience.

the small problem is probably only for me, but the sound won't come out of it. I'm using 2 Monitors. But other than that, amazing Monitor, would 100% recommend buying! Great for Gaming! Graphics are smooth and games run well!

Great size and specs for gaming! Too good a deal to pass up for $200 on this 27" fast response curved gaming monitor

I was long past due for an upgrade. This is a great monitor and have been very pleased with the ease of use and the options that are available in regards to screen adjustments available. The screen is built well and feels like a quality unit. This is by no means top of the line by today standards as far as resloultion. But 1080p is still super crisp and plenty good enough for video game use and watching Netflix etc...

Over all a very good monitor for the price. Pick this up to replace my old monitor which had a few dead pixel what a big difference. Very happy with this one other then the one con I got and that is MSI didn't include a display port to display port cable which is needed if you want to run this at 144 hz and your hardware dose support (IE video card etc) They do send a HDMI cable and using a HDIM cable you will get 120 hz and no more. Most any modern day video card have a display port out so it makes sense to me MSI should include one. For me I had to run out and buy one

Today I walked into Best Buy to look for the best of their Black Friday deals, and as I was searching for a new monitor to upgrade my setup, I fortunately found my way to this msi monitor! I was looking for a product that would bring me great satisfaction through resolution and hertz and I purchased this msi monitor because I knew it was a trusted company that promised great products. This was an easy and straight forward setup and the benefits of having this monitor have already paid off, definitely a great investment!

I did purchase this on sale for under $200 and i wish i had got a few more for a bigger setup. This monitor is worth whatever the normal price is but cant beat a sale. I use it for Xbox and as an external monitor with my MSI stealth75 laptop and it works great running 144hz and 144 fps.

This monitor is amazing. I will be buying another. Bright colors, deep blacks, and 144hz... Can't beat that. Game play is smooth and effortless, and the outer display itself is nice to look it. It's a little trippy using the web on the curved screen because the browser looks like it's "bending" but it's great for games.
