Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the PRO Z690-A DDR4 motherboard's strong performance and overclocking capabilities, along with its competitive price and user-friendly design. Many appreciate its ease of setup and the inclusion of multiple M.2 slots. However, some users point out the lack of integrated Wi-Fi and find the included instructions inadequate. A small number also reported issues with XMP profiles and the ethernet port.

Best bang for buck motherboard for any build. Up to 196 gb of RAM to really pour some power in it as well as 3 total GPU slots to really get things running. Fairly easy to set up and find all the components to install. 10/10 recommend.

Runs stock XMP and was painless plug and play

Motherboard was plug and play vs the other ddr4 lga 1700 board I had bought. Only issue I've run into is that I cannot overclock the ram to speeds that I know they are capable of from my B550i motherboard so I knocked off 1 star currently. I think with future bios updates this should get corrected but for now, even on the latest bios, you'll most like have to run at stock xmp.

Appears to be a good motherboard so far. My only complaint was that there is not a printed manual included. I had to go on my phone to download the manual.

This product is an excellent choice for those looking to make a computer worthy of running windows flight sim and the next 15 iterations of it. I love this product and have no regrets for investing into this motherboard.

Bought well over a year ago and has ran smooth ever since I did initially have an issue but after I did a trade in for the same one it’s been on 12 hours a day for over a year and plays the most strenuous games on the market

Good motherboard for its price, I just wanted a basic one to hold my 12th gen Intel CPU. It doesn't have WIFI within the board, so you will need at least an ethernet connection or a WIFI Card/USB WIFI adapter.

Very solid motherboard, well designed and built. Everything works good so far. Only issue is the Bios software, kind of buggy. And also when update to bios version 1.1, the multi-monitor doesn't work (it was working with 1.0 and works now after flash back to 1.0). Under 1.1, I can only work with integrated graphic or external , but not together, give me error to boot. Hopefully they can fix it in next version. This review is for the MSI Review Rebate Program. Cheap for Z690... but still overpriced.

Build quality on the board is solid. It looks sharp, seems quite stable in regard to power, and offers a lot of features, such as multiple PCI-E 4.0 m2 slots. However, the board itself is, like all Z690 boards, expensive. You get 3 PCI-E 4.0 m2 slots, 1 from the CPU and the other 2 from the chipset, plus a PCI-E 3.0 m2 slot. Good news if you prefer m2 format drives. This comes at a cost, however. You get 3 PCI-E x16 connectors; the top slot is PCI-E 5.0 X16 from the CPU so you're future proof there, no bottleneck for years to come. The second slot and third slots are PCI-E 3.0, however, and are x4 and x1 respectively. The third slot is also located far enough down the board to only leave room for a single slot card in a mid tower, so be aware. You get decent connectivity, rear panel has a high speed type C 3.2x2 port which will give you plenty of bandwidth for external SSDs or VR headsets or whatever else you desire. Plenty of room to connect to external headers as well, if you use a lot of USB devices at once. Bios offers adequate overclocking support, but is hardly as feature rich as competing boards. XMP activated easily with the 3200mhz memory I paired with it. Overall, it's cheap for a Z690 board, but it doesn't exactly blow me away with features. Unless you're planning to overclock, get a B650 or H670 board, it'll probably come with wifi and bluetooth for less than this board. If you're planning to overclock, it's an adequate solution if you don't want to drop an extra $60-70 on a better board.

Great motherboard. BIOS has tons of overclocking options all ready to go out of the box. It's all black and looks great. Locations of the connectors allow for beautiful wire routing.

Product delivered very fast. The motherboard is great and runs fantastic, but there was one downfall when I received the board. The usb connectors on the board were somewhat faulty. When I have devices plugged into them they will randomly disconnect and reconnect. Very frustrating but still runs fine

I upgraded my computer with the MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 motherboard and I'm super happy with it. The socket LGA 1700 and USB 3.2 support mean it's ready for new tech, which is great for future-proofing my setup. Setup was easy, and it worked well with all my other parts right away. The board runs stable, even when I'm pushing my system with games or heavy tasks. It's also got a clean design that looks really good in my case. Overall, it's a reliable and high-quality motherboard that does everything I need it to do.
