Software Patch Fixed Screen Issue

Like many reviews here, I experienced the screen glitch issue that was plaguing this computer. It would get fuzzy/distorted, cut out and make the machine unusable. However, a couple of months ago there was a software update issued by MSI/Windows that completely fixed this issue. That issue has not happened once since the fix. This machine runs smoothly and can handle any of the games I throw at it. I've really been enjoying playing my Steam library on this computer. It's also really light weight and portable for a computer of its capabilities. MSI has made an awesome laptop here with plenty of power and great design quality. The chassis feels sturdy and is well made. After the software patch, I cannot recommend this laptop enough for its price point. You will not be sorry!

Phenomenal Gaming Machine

This machine is a gentle giant. Sleek, and low profile even though its a 16 inch beauty. The response and load time is unbelievable. I rarely see the start up wheel if at all, and with the face unlock im at my desktop faster than i can blink from the sight of the MSI logo on boot. What cons do you see when you look at reviews for gaming laptops? Hot and Noisey right? Thats the gentle part in the this giant. Im running near max settings on Black Ops 6 and ive had Temu quality heating pads get hotter, its as warm as a lukewarm coffee mug and its more quiet than a tiny whisper. Performance out of the box and an update to the graphics card youre pushing 170-200fps. The 240hz RR makes everything glide seamlessly. Ive never spent more than $1500 on a machine, but i realize now that taking that extra little leap, opens up a whole new world of quality. 6/5⭐️

This is a thin and sleek device. I like the biometric reader and the RGB backlight. It does a great cooling job and the screen is FAST. Some Cons are the lack of ports, for the price I expected a AMD Ryzen 365 and there are some molding issues with the chassis, MSI Center can also be more streamlined and user friendly. Other than those cons I like everything else about this laptop.

When I plug it with the charger or disconnect it from charger the screen goes black for about 3 seconds.
Performance is so good, but I don’t recommend it for Revit 2025.

The first one I got was faulty but once I got a working one its amazing. I'm not thrilled with the proprietary charger only because I lose things and my pets like to chew on wires. The number pad is a nice touch though. It runs my games smoothly and quietly though it does get a little hot if I have it just sitting on my bare thighs instead of a lap board or something. The download speeds are quick and the colors on scree are quite vivid.

Broken after 4 months

This is a $2000 laptop and after only 4 months of light use only at home on a desk (no transit or damage) the microphone broke as a hardware issue (no drivers or updates would resolve). Even using headphones, no microphone could be detected.
It also frequently had monitor issues where the screen would glitch with black/white blocks.
Don't waste your money.

Returned Due to Defects, Not Performance

I had this laptop for less than 60 days and experienced some issues, including a one-time blue screen, occasional heavy screen glitches, and a non-functional USB-C port. Aside from that, it was a powerful and reliable laptop, though it heated up quickly. I believe I may have received a faulty unit, as I don’t think these issues are common. However, I returned it under the conditions of my Best Buy Plus plan.

Returning it today. Worse experience Ive had with a laptop. It took forever to set up windows cause it kept restarting when it updated and wouldn't install. Tried playing Marvel Rivals on 2k low settings and it crashed, froze, and stuttered like crazy. The keyboard buttons have this weird slippery material on it that feels like wax on a cars paint and its extremely hard to push. To top it off the screen has a lot of ghosting. Reminded me on a monitor back in 2000s.
Ive owned reliable MSI motherboards and monitors. Thought their laptops would be good but Im going to have to go with a different brand for a gaming laptop.
Only good thing I have to say about the laptop is that the case material feels nice and sturdy.

Excellent Performance at a Great Value

I purchased this computer at the sale price of $1,650 plus tax, and so far, it has exceeded my expectations. It has handled every task I've thrown at it with ease, including demanding gaming sessions. Gaming performance is better than anticipated, and while the battery life during gaming is limited off charger—typically lasting a couple of hours depending on the workload—it performs slightly better than expected overall. The built-in energy-saving feature is particularly effective during regular, non-intensive use, significantly extending battery life. Overall, a great machine for the price.

It has been a good computer. The one thing I do not like is the power plugin is on the right hand side where I use a mouse. It gets in the way.
