Fan issue leading to charging issue

I've had the laptop for less than a year, and the left fan wore out about a month ago. I use the computer for school, and take very good care of it. The laptop got sent in to have the fan replaced (which took about two weeks), and when I got it back, I noticed it wouldn't want to charge. After struggling with it for a bit it would charge. This went on for a couple of weeks before it finally decided to stop charging. This problem never existed before the fan replacement, so I'm not sure if it's the computer's fault or the factory's. Overall, it's not worth the price if you have an experience like mine.

It works but..... so much i could share. My biggest reason for 1 star is the fact that the laptop over heats. I'm not talking about the normal heat. I'm talking super hot and abnormal. I was told my reps after sharing my concern, they told me it was normal. Later a relative informed it isn't normal for a gaming pc. So i don't know if got a bad one. I was well beyond any return and refund by this time. I can't even run normal mode let alone game mode without it being over heated. I ran my other laptop on some good graphic games and don't have the issues over heating and thermal throttling. Battery life is horrible. Can't keep it unplugged more than 45 min and that is doing nothing.

I bought this to be a gaming/productivity machine. The screen was DOA so i had to send it back to MSI immediately after purchase. The new screen has pretty bad light bleed. On the positive side, as a productivity machine, it works great unless your doing video tasks. Very zippy, the keyboard and touchpad are good. The problem is the cooling. This thing thermal throttles horribly on any cpu intensive tasks. The only way to halfway maintain performance is to crank the fans up all the way, but the fans are SOOO loud that you can't use the machine in public spaces. The processor in this CAN'T be undervolted either. The only work around that Ive found is to completely disable cpu turbo in Windows power management. This approach works pretty well while gaming, but the really hurts performance in the cpu intense productivity space. I realize that this is a thin and light laptop, but there are other machines in this segment that manage they're heat dissipation much better and this is reflected in benchmark scores. The benchmarks for this are just not very good for the hardware inside and compared to the compitition. For this kind of money, it should be better. The bottom line is this, if i had it to do again, i definitely wouldn't buy this again. There are better options out there.
