It's very nice computer, work good while playing good. But I started by a crazy experience. Each time I turn on the PC only the keyboard lights up the screen remains black ⚫️ , and nothing display you can wait for one day nothing will display until you turn of and wait for few seconds and turn it on again before the screen can display. BestBuy can do anything the refer me to MSI company. Now I shipped to MSI company for repairing. Noone want to exchange it for.. Since all my love to this PC is disappointed..

This is a good laptop. It's built like a tank and feels sturdy. There are a few fixable issues that keep it from 5 stars out of the box. Good: Looks great. If you're into white. This is a good one. The blue key lighting is bright, the keys are legible, and the case doesn't attract fingerprints. Decent screen. The screen looks good in a vacuum. It's bright enough and I don't notice any ghosting. The colors are what you'd expect on a gaming laptop of this price. Runs cool and quiet The fans on this are less annoying than on other gaming laptops I've owned. They can get loud but the tone is quite tolerable. The cooling solution seems more than adequate, and the MSI software helps with choosing the balance of heat and perfomance you are looking for. Fast Processor: This processor punches well above its 3050ti. In terms of cpu horsepower, it's a beast. If you want more gaming, grab a 3060 version. This does play every game at respectable settings. If you're okay with DLSS or FSR you're set. You can't really tell the resolution is being scaled on a 15inch screen. Meh: The speakers are tolerable. Not very loud. Clear enough. Hardly any bass. Cramped Keyboard layout. The fn key drives me banannas and the enter key below the tiny 10 key was just a mistake. I like 10 keys, but this isn't the way. R.I.P right shift key users. Key stroke and travel are a little mushy but you won't hate it. Track pad. It's not bad. Big enough. Smooth enough. Battery life: You're buying an intel based gaming laptop. It's gonna struggle. Plastic build. Nicer than expected but it's still plastic. It doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart though. Boo: 8 gbs of ram. This isn't enough. No second m.2 slot or included bracket for 2.5 drive. Basic USB-C port. No display out. I've got a USB-c hub that can't utilize all of the features How to fix the problems: Note: Poking a hole in you're factory seal stickers does not void the warranty in the U.S. I've sent back MSI products (MSI Delta 15 with broken hinge) for warranty repair with no issues. Ram: Buy this. Samsung 8GB DDR4 3200MHz SODIMM PC4-25600 CL22 1Rx8 You have an empty ram slot. The performance increase from dual channel and capacity is substantial. It's worth the $30. It should have been done from the factory. Unsupported 2.5inch drive: You can pull the foam thats in the case and use some foam tape to secure a second drive. The necessary plug for the drive is already in there. Janky, but the case will hold it in place. Put some foam on both sides. Why are you buying this? You like the way it looks. In a sea of black and silver laptops you wanted a white one. There are better laptops out there for a little more money but this one caught your eye. Go for it. Especially if you grab it around that $900 range. After $80 in upgrades, you're cruising. I own a pavillion gaming with a 1650, MSI delta 15 with a 6700m, and g14 with a 6700s. This 3050ti plays everything the others do. The biggest limitation is the 4gb of vram. Let's be real though, the 3050ti shouldn't be set to those settings anyway. The limitation just keeps it humble. Note: The hinges on this MSI Sword feel way better than the paper mache ones on the MSI Delta. I dont get the impression they are going to break easily.

If you can accept and understanding that this laptop is wrapped with cheaper, plastic material case. You will be happy to keep this priced-right, high performance laptop as your everyday, everything desktop replacement. Only thing you need to do is to upgrade the RAM from 8GB to 32GB and optionally move the HD from 512GB to 1TB or 2TB. I open a file from my Adobe In-Design publishing software and compared between MSI Sword and my MSI G65 ($1,600 Gen 9 i-7, w/16GB and 1TB). The difference is about 1.5 to 2 seconds when both plugged in to its power source. When both are not plugged in, the speed difference is only with a difference of about 0.3 to 0.5 second. Remember, the price is about 30% cheaper than the G65 and when it was on sale, it was almost half in price in compare to G65! What you don't get is: 1) Aluminum alloy case (for elegant look and protection), 2) Variable/Changeable RGB keys on the back lit keyboard, and 3) only 8GB RAM and 512GB HD standard (not 16GB RAM and 1TB HD), upgrade is highly recommend, 4) Not OLED display (you will need to pay for a lot more for other models that has OLED), So far, there is no issues like fan noise, or any malfunction(s). I am okay with the white (I don't travel in the mudded woods or jogging in the dusty trails with this laptop) color casing. I am not picky about the RGB backlit keyboard. If you are a real gamer, you'd purchased a side gaming keypad that has all the features you need and save the laptop keyboard lifespan for when you are on the go. In conclusion, I love it and am very happy with this model.

I like this laptop a lot. Not being a gamer, I am graphic artist using my MSI for digital art creations, NFTs and more. The processor is fast, the graphics card NVIDIA GetForce is wonderful, dlsplay is very precise, colors beautiful..all in all for the price I am extremely happy to bed working on my laptop. I am doing alot of traveling and am not able to use my desktop, but my work and creative process is at my fingertips wherever I may be. I do plan to get more RAM, as I need it. The computer does get pretty hot and battery life is short.

Beautiful laptop. Solid build quality. Perfect back-to-school laptop, at a great price. Great upgradability and easy repair. Mesh on the bottom of the laptop provides the airflow your laptop deserves. My favorite features: •Intel 11th Gen Core i7 provides great onboard graphics with 8 cores •Nvidia 30 series 3050Ti allows for gaming or computational rendering tasks •Up to 64GB ram, starts with 8 built-in •Upgradable m.2 NVMe storage slots. Starts with a 500GB •Kingston SSD •Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 •Back-lit keyboard •144hz 1080x1920 IPS-Level panel •Exceptional I/O choice •720HD Webcam for school/work/meetings The MSI Sword is realistically the only laptop I'll ever need. I'll be keeping this one. Thanks, Best Buy!

Needed something to take over for my aging Surface Pro 3. Primarily wanted a laptop with a decent graphics card for editing videos but was pleasantly surprised when this fell into my price range and was equipped with a very capable 3D graphics card. I upgraded the RAM to 64 GB and added a secondary 1TB hard drive and now experimenting with 3D modeling and animation, gaming and game development in addition to video and audio production. A nice selection of free promotional software was provided by Intel to demonstrate the latest processor capabilities. The white shell is beautiful and the lighted keyboard has a nice feel. However, the blue backlight on white keys actually makes the key markings difficult to decipher in daylight. Have not had any issues with heat or fan noise in most cases. 3D rendering and intense gaming does kick the fans in, but they are not even as noisy as my Surface's fan. Pre-installed bloatware was refreshingly minimal and easy to remove. Battery is good for a few hours of moderate use.

I’ve only had my laptop for a day and I give it 4 stars. It’s a great laptop when it comes to gaming for Skyrim, Siege, things of that nature(not on max settings), however, it runs very hot which I’ve begun to notice as I’ve been playing. For me, this isn’t a big issue, but for some it may cause them to be a little weary. I also recommend this product when it goes on sale and not for the full $1199.99 price because the storage is semi-small(512gb ssd) and 8gb ram needs to be upgraded(laptop does have upgradability). Overall, I recommend this laptop when it goes on sale as it is very good, however, if you’re someone that does not like if laptops run too hot or someone that has to leave a laptop plugged in to play, then I would go for a different gaming laptop.

I've been using this computer for over a year now. It has decent specs but lacks on ram. I use it for gaming and photo editing. The screen looks absolutely awesome from factory. I almost returned it after I turned it on because it looked that bad. Once you calibrate it it actually looks pretty good. I have had a lot of issues powering this device. Maybe some programming issues or something in the MSI program but I'm not sure. Before upgrading the ram it would stop charging and the computer can't handle games when off of the power so would instantly go haywire. I believe I fixed the issue at the time by making adjustments to the battery settings in the msi app. After I upgraded the ram, the photo editing is very fast and performs great now. Games are very weird though. Before I upgraded the ram I couldn't run games on low graphics. The games would glitch and perform awfully. I had to run at medium to high graphics to even play games. If I would with the game setting to much it would start performing bad and I would have to restart the laptop. I usually optimize the settings through the nividia app. After ram upgrades it seems like the charging can't keep up. It almost seems like the power brick over heats and shuts off or can't keep up with the draw of the games and the computer will shuts off. I have been running games on lowest setting and keep and eye on the battery status now. I sometimes will even put ice packs on the power brick to help with the issue. Good for the price but has some bad limitations.

Love it. So far the heaviest game i have played is Age of empires 4, which granted doesn't have high requirements, but it does runs very smooth. Other games and graphic intensive tasks like youtube also run great. The fan doesn't make much noise during any of these. Cons: more RAM and battery life would have been great. Note, so far the 8GB has been enough for everything. The laptop looks beautiful. I didn't think it would matter to me, but the overall looks of the laptop- white body, blue colors, shape etc. are pleasing to see. I am becoming fan of MSI

I thought of buying budget gaming laptop and came across this laptop. I am using this laptop for more than one year and I would strongly recommend my friends to buy this as they provide RTX 3050 Ti and i7 11 gen. I ran heavy softwares and games and I didn’t experience any lag and laptop works like a charm.

Amazing laptop, I didn't know how I would like the design, but the laptop is beautiful. The texture of the laptop is also really unique. It's smooth and make using it even better. For the performance, just look at the specs, it plays any game well that I have thrown at it. 240 FPS for League of Legends, 72 FPS at medium for Forza 5. It is a gaming laptop, so battery life is acceptable but not something to be proud of.

Great MSI Gaming Laptop (Easily Upgradeable Fast)

This is a great MSI gaming laptop bought from Best Buy around Thanksgiving week in 2021. It's pretty fast with 8 GB RAM but easily upgradeable to 24 GB after putting a 16 GB Crucial RAM stick onto the empty slot. To any hardware upgrade on this laptop, I recommend a iFixit essential toolkit from Best Buy to open the bottom case easily (15 minutes or less). The SSD is NVME M2 SSD that's pretty fast already, but there's a space to add another 2.5 inch SATA SSD or HDD if you want to. Add a 1 TB SSD only cost around $80 or less during Thanksgiving week. In addition, the laptop has i7 core 11th gen CPU that's a 8-core processor can handle multitasking easily. It has Windows 10 Home OS that's easier to use than latest Windows 11 Home OS in my opinion. After made all upgrades above, the laptop only cost me $900 + $50 (for 16 GB RAM), $80 (for 1 TB 2.5 inch SSD) = $1030 before tax. It's faster than laptops used by senior management and IT people in any Fortune 200 companies. The graphics card is RTX 3050 Ti that's faster enough to handle medium range games that's all I need. It's a great buy from Best Buy from Thanksgiving shopping in 2021. Thanks.

I brought this laptop and use this for awhile here are my opinion. This is a good laptop for games I had tried Minecraft rtx, Overwatch, Risk of Rain 2, and Destiny 2 they ran fine I had to change settings to get more fps because fps matters to me. Now this is a 4 star because it low ram. If you can i suggest upgrading the ram to 16gb for gaming but do research to see how much this laptop ram can go up to, and see which ram works with this laptop. I did some research and I got is this laptop can go up to 64gb ram can go to? (I probably incorrect sorry). If true then you should upgrade to 64gb ram but i recommend that if you are doing heavy video editing or streaming off this laptop otherwise that is a bit overkill if you wanna do overkill. Other than that the laptop is very good. This is great laptop to start with for pc gaming to see how it is, or you just wanna play pc games on your bed or something just the low ram hold back from it potential. As for my experience getting this, I brought it from the best buy store and had no problems setting it up.

I have been building gaming PC's since I was 12. I am now 34. I needed something to do some work on for for some projects, light web browsing and spreadsheet. I figured why not get something that can play some entry level games. I did upgrade the 8gb of ram to 16gb, and also upgraded from 512gb SSD to 1TB SSD which helped. I have played Warzone, SCUM, Rome 2, Forza, and Deadside on it. It does not run well with HIGH graphics, but when you set them to medium it does well. I got this on sale for $899 which after RAM and SSD I am into it for about $1100 which for a mobile gaming PC and backup for my 13yr old son for when his friends come over it does a great job. If you want a true gaming rig, build one. If you want an out of the box laptop to do gaming, you will want to upgrade the RAM but this will play most games, just not on EPIC settings like my Desktop. I recommend it if you can get it for the discounted price of $899.

First gaming laptop I have bought in over 10 years and is good for the price I paid. Have a gamin pc at home so bought this to use for when I travel for work. So far it has played everything I have thrown at it. Most games can be played in max video settings and some I had to lower to mid settings. Can't say much on battery as I always have it connected to charger. Laptop fans are loud when they kick on to high, which is the only complaint I have.
