Customers love the Sword 15.6" Gaming Laptop's performance, especially its speed and graphics capabilities, and appreciate its competitive price point. However, some users have noted concerns regarding battery life and screen issues, such as flickering or shaking. While build quality is generally praised, the laptop's storage capacity and tendency to run warm have also been mentioned as potential drawbacks.

It’s a good laptop. It never over heats and does have good cooling. My only issue is for the price, it should definitely come with more RAM. Plays basically every game on high/medium settings. Overall I can’t really complain as adding more RAM is fairly inexpensive.

The laptop is really good. I usually play cs go and Valorant on it and the games run at 144 and 300 fps respectively. Only problem is battery life which is close to 2.5 to 3 hours

Love this laptop!! Not only does it deliver fast and quality gaming and performance, but it could also be used more than just a gaming pc. It could be used for your everyday needs such as: personal use, workplace use, even business use. You name it and it will do everything that you need it to do.

I got this from a sale at 899.99 and used it as a secondary gaming rig. This is a great laptop but 2 things I upgraded right off the bat and got really good 3d mark scores, I upgraded the m.2 the factory one is was a little slow and only had 512 gigs to a 980 pro 2 TB and 32GB Crucial dual rank kit. 4 stars because like others have said, cracking open the case voids the warranty.

For a gaming laptop, this one is pretty good in lots of areas but lacking in a few as well. The pros: The fan boost is an immediate effect, without any third-party apps to manage it. It's either the automated fan speeds or boosted. (Fn + arrow key up). There is also an additional slot for a DDR4 ram stick and a second storage slot which is always nice to have as an upgrade. The cons: If you are looking into playing any of the graphic intensive games such as Horizon, Battlefield, or Squad, I would suggest a different device. The GPU with a 4GB (3.9GB usable) capacity is very limiting, preventing horizon to reach a steady frame rate above 60 FPS on just High graphics alone with drops from time to time. With other large map games like Hell let Loose, or Post Scriptum, the gpu throttles unless you drop the graphics to the lowest setting(s) available. If you plan on playing Warzone and games of similar graphic intensity, it will not run more than 40 fps unless you lower all settings and the resolution (It's still not enough really). For VR games. The oculus connect says that the CPU isn't optimal for Oculus Link or direct connection. It is also advertised to have a 512GB SSD yet the storage displays a capacity of only 455GB. It is a decent size for any laptop, but for gaming purposes, the average size of most games today is a minimum of ~25GB and a maximum of roughly 70GB. That alone chews up almost a fifth of its available storage, meaning an external or replacement internal drive would be needed to have more games downloaded (if needed of course). Overall: Not a bad laptop. It can run most games well and is a good experience in being my entry into gaming computers. There are big flaws and small ones, but the experience is still good. I'd say to buy it when it's on sale. If you want to pay full price, I would suggest looking into a better device for gaming even though they might be $100 or $200 more.

No GPU direct conneciton (integrated GPU bypass), significant frame rate loss on FPS games like CSGO, PUBG etc, making the high refresh rate display less useful. But otherwise pretty powerful CPU and GPU, can run 3A games at 1080p OK.

Very good machine for almost anything you want to use it for. Only lacking in RAM a bit which is a trivial upgrade for cheap. Comes with 8GB upgradable to 64GB. Responsive keyboard backlit makes it even better. The screen is very clear. No issues with this laptop at all

Love this machine! In addition to the sleekness of the design, the colors are great (although I my wife won't let me touch it until she makes sure my hands are grease free after work!). It runs smoothly and so far I've had no issues, which is a great thing!

I do recommend this laptop.. If you can get it on sale. Otherwise it’s not worth it. I did upgrade to 24gb of ram and swapped a 1tb 970 Evo Plus SSD and it’s a trooper.

Great Value for an Amazing machine. Long lasting battery, quite, fast and great video for gaming. Wish it came with more memory out of box, but for the price, can't beat it! Grabbed it on sale, but even at regular price, would highly recommend

So far, this has been a great purchase. My daughter got it as an entry level gaming laptop. She is incredibly happy with the speed and graphics quality. The battery life could be better. It seems like it only lasts for a couple of hours when not plugged in.

It is a great laptop, but definitely recommend upgrading the RAM ASAP, possibly the SSD. It is not as important as the RAM, but it definitely helps. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Especially when on sale this is a solid computer. MSI put a ton of features into the build, and the computer is a comfortable, solid design. I always need a ten key on my computers since I sometimes use them for things other than games, and despite the smaller form factor of this ten key, it's easy to adapt to. Gaming wise, I'm well over a hundred FPS on most games, some peaking around 2000 FPS. For a "budget" laptop gaming machine (I hate to use the word budget for something in this price range, but that's what everything has become), the combination of processor and GPU are a stand out. Once I replaced the pitiful 8GB of ram and added a second (2.5" form factor) drive to up the capacity, the machine performs really well, and doesn't get too hot with MSI's fan control, and isn't too loud when doing mundane tasks like word processing.
