This film is rich is color, spectacle and storyline but if you can't put aside the political aspect, then you may want to pass on this one. I for one did not compare it to "popular" politics and took it for what occurred in its historical context and therefore true to its culture and time.

Excellent family movie. I loved the first version, but this is so much better with actual people. Really loved it and will definitely be watching it again. The actors did such an amazing job in bringing the characters to life. You’ve got to see it.

Very nice looking SteelBook. Glossy finish. The inside and back cover art are terrific. Front cover art is decent; I probably would have chosen to switch the back and the front. No title on the front (it's on the spine) or embossing/debossing are the only drawbacks, but not enough to dissuade my recommendation. Movie was very good, a step above the recent wave of live-action Disney remakes.

Excellent quality transfer BUT movie itself is a mixed bag --- not up to what you'd expect from a high-level, high-cost Disney production (in terms of plot and watchable enjoyment). I expect these will be quickly falling in price --- at the $39 price not a movie I'm expecting to watch many times even for younger guests.

Excellent movie with a lovely steelbook case. They should have made these years ago rather than the flimsy plastic covers. This was priced fairly so that was why I purchased this Blu-ray 4K UHD movie With the metal cover this time. If you like Mulan, you should do the same!

An incredible adaptation of the story to film with great effects and incredible acting

I really enjoyed this movie. It takes and utilizes a different direction than the animated version. And it uses different feelings to try and pull on. But nevertheless less is a good movie.

The legend of the young Chinese girl Mulan. A story of love for her family and country. At a time when young girls weren't supposed to be anything but what tradition prescribes, Mulan secretly hides her true self to become a legendary warrior which saves her country.

Live Action Remake of Animated Disney Film Classic on 4K UHD SteelBook is a must buy for any Disney fan. Phenomenal audio visual experience. Live Action afforded an opportunity to depart liberally from the animated original, something I much appreciated in this remake.

was a good clean movie. some of it was kind of out there, but we all enjoyed it. I get tired of movies that all they do is cuss, so it's nice to watch something with good action. This was something the whole family could enjoy. I would recommend to a friend.

Awesome movie, a little different from the cartoon movie, but more realistic. The question is what is really the real thing that happened during the time of Mulan in this planet earth. Hope the way they portray in this movie is the closest to what really happened.

My daughter Morgan bought Mulan as a birthday present for her mom since they both enjoyed the cartoon version. We were all blown away by the story and great acting. I guarantee the whole family will love it. Kinda miss the dragon, though. Ha ha.

Despite different reviews this movie was surprisingly good! I went into this without trying to compare this to the animated version because they aren’t the same movie at all! I recommend giving this movie a chance and go into it with an open mind.

Excellent adaptation from cartoons to real-life movie. The acting was also good and surely a must see for children. Without providing a spoiler the movie is centered around empowerment. The audio and picture quality is very good as well.

Did not disappoint. I wanted to see this in 4k and I enjoyed it. Great visuals and excellent sound. A little far fetched for the cliché Asain Martial Arts movie thats based on historical events. But I get it...its a movie. And it was entertaining. Great acting and the martial art choreography was top notch. Fun movie to watch!

Great and meaningful movie! Inspiring if you really think about the story line.

Great remake. Some of the remakes Disney has been doing are shot for shot remakes which suck. Whereas Mulan, Aladdin and some others have been given their own spin which I much prefer. Since we already have great versions of the originals. The Originals!

This movie is much better than I thought it would be. The action and story are wonderful. It was great to see Jason Scott Lee again. He was in the best version ( in my opinion ) of the live action Jungle Book. The blu-ray video and sound are top notch.
