Customers consistently note the Multigroom Series 7400's excellent battery life and ease of use, along with its waterproof design and useful attachments. Many appreciate its power and water resistance, finding it convenient for showering. However, some users found the trimming performance inconsistent and the body shaver less effective than expected for a close shave.

Overall I’m very pleased with this Trimmer/Shaver. Upon opening the box, most items were easy to unpack and understand their function without consulting the documentation. This is good because the documentation is a multi-panel fold-out that has rather small print and is difficult to handle. I immediately set about charging the unit as I needed to clean up my face and hair in preparation for the Holidays. After a few hours the charging was complete and I dug right in. First I used the beard trimming guard. It is easy to attach, but getting it set in the exactly location you desire required a couple of attempts. Usually going past the number I wanted. But with a little practice I was able to master it. This trimmer went through my beard hair with ease and maintained a consistent length throughout. Previous trimmers I’ve owned would often bog down with beard hair as it’s so much thicker. But not this baby, it buzzed right through quickly. So on to my head. Switched out for the guard intended for the head, which is noted by icons on the guards. Buzzzzzzzit! Yep, hair done and neat. I then removed the guard and posed on the detail head to trim up around the edges and over the ears. Again, a job well done. One caution on the guards. I don’t think they take a lot of abuse so don’t put them in your luggage if they are likely to experience any crushing force. Take care of them and they’ll take care of you. So then just to see about the shaver head I tried that on my face. It did an okay job. About as good as any other electric razor that I’ve used. But I’ve been using a blade for so many years that nothing really works as well for me. Other things to note…included is a carry bag that is big enough to easily fit the trimmer, charger and all accessories with room to spare. Also included is a tube of lubricating oil. I keep it in the carry bag since I would loose the oil that came with other trimmers without a bag. This unit is also rated as being waterproof. That’s great but I intend to use it on dry land only. For me it’s not practical to try to use it in the shower, but it provides peace of mind that since I’m using it in the bathroom, I won’t worry to much if I set it down in a puddle or it falls someplace icky. Time will tell on the longevity of this trimmer, but I have a good feeling about that and I would definitely buy this trimmer again.

I jumped at the chance to try this shower proof Phillips Norelco Multigroom 7400 trimmers, given that I have a husband, no facial hair, and two sons with facial hair, ages 24 and 21. The younger son used it first to trim his facial hair and wound up using all the attachments with my encouragement so as to provide the most comprehensive review possible. He said that it cut his facial hair efficiently with clean lines, and did not get stopped up from the hair being trimmed. Therefore, the process was quicker because he did not have to stop and start to clean hair out of the trimmer and the result was a more finished look with the use of all the attachments. The only complaint from him was that the nose trimmer was somewhat difficult to use because it could only be used in one direction vs. multi-directional, since the cutting surface was only on one side and that is why one star was deducted. My 24 year old son also gives it 4 stars because he liked that the body trimmer could shave not only the body, but the face making it a multi useful tool. It seemed like the regular motor speed was not as efficient as the turbo speed setting and therefore, requiring him to use the turbo setting most often to get done quicker. He also agreed with the younger son on his opinion of the nose trimming head. My husband used the nasal trimmer and said that it gets the job done great and fast. It is a winner in our home. This is the first time Best Buy has sent me a free product to try and asked for an honest review. My family gave me their honest opinions and none of them were affected by the fact that Best Buy sent us the product free.

Philips Norelco Multigroom trimmer First impressions: The trimmer is nicely designed, it has a clean look to it, fairly compact in size, and comfortable to hold. Includes various attachments, a pouch and charger. Features include: 2 speed settings, shower proof, 60 minute run time. I was looking for a trimmer to cut my son's hair. For the top and sides, I use an electric hair clipper, but when it comes to buzzing around their ears, I find that the hair clipper sometimes nips their soft skin. Enter the Philips Norelco multi Groom! This is exactly what this product is designed for. It comes with 6 attachments in total, each with a specific purpose. 1. Body 2. Hair 3. Beard 4. Detail trimmer 5. Nose hair 6. Bodygroom The first 3 attachments has an "icon" molded into it so you can tell what part of the body it is used for. They also have measurements (in millimeters) printed on the back of the groomer tool and a arrow on the attachment. You simply snap on the attachment you need, slide the attachment up or down until the arrow is aligned to the measurement you want and trim away. Very straightforward and easy to understand. For what I used it for, trimming around my son's ear and neck area (I did not use any attachments) it worked beautifully, no pinches on their skin. It also operates more quietly than the hairclipper I use, so it's a bit less intimidating. Keep in mind unlike an electric shaver, this doesn't hold any clippings, they would simply drop one floor. Overall, if you were looking for a grooming device like this, I would highly recommend this Philips Multigroomer.

I was pretty excited about this since my Philips Norelco electric shaver has held up really well. The packaging looks really nice and definitely demonstrates what you will be getting pretty well by showing the different combs/attachments that are included. Unfortunately the packaging is not quite as easy to open. There were a few different things inside that weren't intuitive when unboxing the product, such as the white clip that holds the trimmer to the cardboard. As I found out after fighting with it for a bit, the trimmer needs to let the white clip slide up towards the metal trimmer section, but that isn't necessarily possible unless you tear the cardboard to free the plastic clip. Once freeing the trimmer, I proceeded to charge it since the battery was too low to turn it on. Within a few minutes the trimmer was reading a full battery and was fully operational. It uses the same exact charger as my other Philips Norelco Aquatec electric shaver, so that's also an added plus. This unit has no difficulty trimming and the combs attach very easily. I haven't tried out all of the attachments yet, but based on my experience so far, I have no doubt that they will work really well. The leather bag is extremely soft and looks like it is truly genuine leather, which surprised me. It has plenty of space for all of the combs and attachments, and would work well for storing toothbrushes, razors, and trimmers for those who travel frequently. Overall, it's a great unit at a great price. Definitely recommend it.

I'm very excited about this shaver. It's portable and has plenty of attachments that makes using it for multiple areas of the body perfect. It comes with a nice leather travel bag that I can keep it and the attachments in. It is a really good value for all the accessories that come with it. For the past several years, I've bounced around from razor/trimmer to razor/trimmer trying to find the right balance of function and portability. This one is perfect for travel and use at home even though some might just think of it for travel. I have another shaver that isn't quite as portable and this one works better than it does. It is easy to clean and switch attachment heads out. This would make a great gift for someone who needs a razor with lots of options.

I have owned several Norelco shavers of similar design, and they have always lasted for several years. The overall body of the shaver looks quite nice. The design of the actual shaving blade is better in some ways, but is also worse in some ways, compared to other Norelco shavers. I previously had Norelco shavers that had the beard shaving blade which could be popped out, and the inside shaving mechanism could be brushed clean of hair quite easily, I always liked that design. This newer Norelco shaver has a shaving blade that is placed on the body of the shaver, then it is turned and locks in place, of which when it is in use, some hair does get caught in the shaving blade area, and because of the different blade design, it is easiest to wash out the hair with water. Overall, cleaning the blade on this model of Norelco shaver, is just not as easy as previous models. The body grooming attachment that comes with this shaver is of sufficient width and works well on body hair. The beard cutting blade attachment, is narrower compared to the beard cutting blade on previous Norelco models, resulting in fewer hairs cut with each stroke. (One of the attached pictures show the beard cutting blade from my previous Norelco shaver, sitting next to the beard cutting blade on this new model.) My first impression when trimming my beard with this Norelco shaver, is that it cuts through beard hair quite easily, but it would have been nice if the beard cutting attachment was a bit wider. The main reason why this is an issue for me, is because I have always used my Norelco beard trimmer, to shave my head, and the wider cutting blade on previous models, was always sufficient for head hair shaving. The main beard trimming attachment on this newer Norelco, will not be quite as good for head hair shaving. The narrower beard trimming blade, is the main reason that I would rate this product at a 3 star rating, compared to the 4 stars I would have rated it at, if it had a wider beard cutting attachment.

Ok, I want to start by saying that this product was provided to me by Best Buy (Tech Insider Network)/manufacturer for review. Therefore, my opinion of this product is completely unbiased. My entire life, I've always invested in great tech...new phones, PC upgrades, gaming consoles, routers, streaming equipment, TV's, etc. I practice great personal hygiene, but honestly, I've never really invested much into "hygiene tech", such as personal trimmers and the like. I've always just used a regular razor and my wife trims/cuts my hair/beard, etc, for me (she used to be a hairdresser). With that being said, maybe I'm just old-fashioned, but I went into using this with very low expectations. However, after having used it for the first time and trying most all of the features and attachments, both my wife and I say ...WOW. I've enclosed quite a few pictures that shows off all the attachments, bag and accessories received (Edit - scratch that...Best Buy will only let me upload two pictures). Thus far, I have ZERO complaints on this trimmer. It only took about 15-20 minutes to full charge out-of-the-box. The first time I used it, it was on for approximately 40 minutes because I wanted to make sure that I tried enough of it to review AND to ensure that the battery did indeed last. I even used the Turbo mode. While I never had any moments in trimming my semi-beard down that it bogged on me, the Turbo mode was GREAT for getting through those "snaggy" areas. I tried the nose trimmer, detail trimmer, stubble comb and hair comb. Everything on this trimmer is top-notch. I used the stubble comb (which all of the "comb" attachments slide over the main trimmer head and are slide-adjustable) to trim my beard down to maybe 1/2". My wife then used the hair comb to trim the sides of my head very, very low. I was really surprised to see how low it was able to go WITH the comb/guard on it. This is much better than even our electric trimmer! The nose hair trimmer worked great, although I did have some angle issues, which I'm sure will improve once it gets used more! I then took the combs off and used the main trimmer head to get my mustache area. I didn't have any "oops" moments during the entire trim session, either. Even my wife likes it and said she was thoroughly impressed with it. My only complaint, if anything, was the manual. Being a n00b to this stuff, I wanted to read up on each attachment, how to use and how to clean. The manual is one of those poster-sized pieces of paper that you have to unfold about 8-10 times and you can never get it folded back the original way. Ever. I also wish the manual did a better job of explaining how to clean all the parts and accessories. Cleaning: I noticed when I took the main trimmer head off to put the nose hair trimmer on that there was a lot of hair underneath the main head. I asked my wife how to get all of it out and she put the head back on, poured some alcohol in the sink, put the tips of the blade on the surface and turned it on. It worked great. Then, I later read in the paper manual to NOT use alcohol to clean. Ugh - had the manual not been made the way it was, it may have been easier to see this sooner. Not sure why this is the case, as rubbing alcohol dries faster than water AND sanitizes it. I understand not using alcohol on the plastic combs, etc...but why not the main metal trim blade? So, my only complaint? Please just make the future instructions in a booklet-form (and Best Buy, please let me upload more than 2 images...). Other than that, this is a perfect and wonderful, easy-to-use trimmer product. I would personally buy this out-of-pocket, that's how much I love it and how impressed we are with it! I would try it in the shower, since it is wet/dry, but I don't really have need to. I may test it out later though and if I do, I'll update my review.

This trimmer is great for everything you need, from shaving to trimming any part of your body, the variety of accessories that it comes with makes it so you will only need one grooming tool, it can be used in the shower and it is easy and quick to charge with a lasting battery. Very nice durable carrying pouch to keep it all together and travel. Pros: All in one Quick charge and lasting battery It can be used in the shower The detail trimmer is perfect for sharp, well defined lines The turbo speed makes it easy to use even on thick hair Cons: The shaving tool's head is fixed which makes it a little harder to get to certain places

    Pretty Good Trimmer

I really liked this trimmer. I owned a trimmer like it prior to this one and it absolutely blows it out of the water. You get a nice assortment of attachments and they all work very well; wet or dry. I'll go over each of them here: 1. The nose hair trimmer worked well. It is a different shape than I was used from my old multigroom trimmer, but once I figured it out there were no problems. 2. The body shave works as advertised. I was hoping I could maybe used it for my face and neck as well, but the manual specifically warns against doing that. Nothing against the attachment, just not what it was designed for. 3. The trimmer head and the precision trimmer both work great. I used them to trim up the hair around my neck line and there were no issues. You also get a little thing of oil to lubricate the blades on these. 4. Body/Stubble/Hair Combs - I only got a chance to use the body comb, but it works well. It seems like they are not as easy to attach and remove as they could be, but as long as you line them up correctly with the trimmer you shouldn't have any issues. Still, I wonder if I might accidentally break one of these some day. Besides the attachments you get a charging cord and a bag to carry everything in. I haven't had to charge this yet since I got it and have used it 3 or 4 times. I do wish Philips included a better storage solution for the trimmer and all the attachments. The bag is just a bag; it will hold everything, but not in any sort of organized fashion. I also wish this had a charging stand instead of just a cord, but with the way the battery has lasted so far this isn't something I'll need to charge after every use anyway, so I can understand the lack of something like that. The instructions are pretty clear and easy to understand but they are all printed onto a big multi-language folded piece of paper. A booklet would have been much better and having to unfold the entire sheet to find something is infuriating. Besides a few nitpicks, I really like this overall. I didn't use my old multigroom tool that much before, but I will definitely be using this more often.

I was interested in seeing just how good this 'multigroomer' was, especially when it seemed to offer everything a man would need to remain neatly groomed. Alas, in my experience, that wasn't to be. What I need from a multigroomer is to do exactly that, groom EVERYTHING that I need grooming. It's biggest let down, the fact that it won't do a very good job on your face, when trying to get a clean shave. It simply won't do that. It's not designed for that and there isn't an attachment to get you a completely smooth shave. It is designed for you to groom arm hair, armpit hair, chest hair, even groin hair. It will 'shape' your beard, it will shave you down to varying lengths of stubble, but it is just not good at leaving a nice smooth finish. So, going back to the shaping and trimming. It does a decent job of that... but not perfect. I still needed to finish off with my trusty wet razor. The guides for shaving varying lengths of stubble work fine, and do their job. The turbo function does make the blades move faster, with no noticeable drain in battery. This unit does charge quickly, and seem to hold a charge for a decent length of time, which is a definitely plus. There are a nice assortment of attachments as well, so you're able tame the hair on the rest of your body, just not your chin! If this 'groomer' could give me a nice close shave, it would a 5 stars perfect. However, without that functionality, it dings the product pretty severely. I don't know many, if any of my friends that I would recommend this product to.

    New Favorite Shaver

Phillips Norelco 7000 Series I didn't expect a difference between my Philips Multi-groom series and the 7000 series. In my mind, all the tools that came with it look identical and can't possibly offer anything that it's cheaper counterpart offers. However, after trying the Phillips Norelco 7000 Series for the first time, it felt like night and day. The first tool that I used was the shaving tool. It's meant to replace a razor blade. Now, I own the Phillips Norelco Power Touch Dry Electric Razor (has 3 circle blades) and though inlike it, it doesn't give me a close shave and it pinches my skin. However, the 7000 gives me a very close shave and it feels smooth on my skin. It glides effortlessly without using shaving cream or shaving butter, which is what I prefer. That alone was what made this shaver a keeper. I tried all the tools. The nose trimmer works as expected, but the other tools included where a groin/body shaver tool and a beard trimmer/detailer. Things would shave where I was expecting without having to do guess work. The smoothness previously mentioned applied to all shaved areas, and I tried them all. As a bonus, it comes with a bag to store everything in and lubricant to maintain your shaver. The charge time is around 4-6 hours but there's an indicator of how long you have to wait before it's fully charged. Other than the on button, there's a button below it that speeds up the blades movement, refining the hair that it's cutting. This helps when sending hair down the drain, as it will cause it to clog less. Though hesitating, I did try it in the shower too. It's claim for it to be shower proof we're confirmed. Truly, this will replace my two Philips Norelco products and on most occasions, my razor blade. The simulated razor blade is great, but I don't think any electric shaver can ever beat an actually blade. This one gets you pretty close helps if you are in a hurry. Because the shave is close, but not as close as a razor blade, I recommend this product as a 4/5 star product.

This is a very nice trimmer for all round grooming use. Comes with 4 cutting attachments (wide clipper, narrow clipper, foil shaving attachement and nostril hair trimmer) and 3 combs (for scalp, beard and body). LiIon battery provides plenty of power to run this trimmer up to 60 minutes on regular speed, for the tough hair - trimmer could be switched to the "turbo" mode which would consume more battery obviously. Once discharged - it takes about 1 hour to charge the battery using included power adapter (which is 100-240V AC 50/60Hz compatible). Overall points: Good: 60 minutes runtime on a single charge Ability to quick charge (5 minutes of charging gives about 5 minutes of run time) Turbo mode for touch hair Everything you need for all around grooming (head, beard, nose/ears, body) is included in the kit (even a small bottle of blade lubrication oil) Trimmer is shower proof (but not the charging cable!) Low battery warning - trimmer will illuminate an orange LED when about 10 mintes of run time remaining Soft carrying pouch is included Things not so good: No battery charge indicator, all you have is 10 minutes warning before it dies, but there is no clue otherwise Can't operate while charging, charging cable needs to be disconnected in order to operate the trimmer Comb depth settings are in millimeters only, you'll need to convert to inches if you are not used to the metric system.

Good strong shaver. Lots of great attachments. I like the cordless feature and being able to use in the shower. I used the body shaver attachment and 3mm is the shortest available length... it worked pretty well. With the guard completely covered, it gives you a lot more confidence that you won't get too short in places which is totally different with the other 2 guards (used for different purposes). My biggest complaint for the shaver is the location of the power button. When you are adjusting the attachment "guards" on the opposite side, I constantly hit the power button. I'm not sure of where a better place would be, but perhaps even a "slide" power switch on the side would help (like lots of normal shears). It was just on the wrong spot. The turbo feature was ok though I did not need it. I assume it's only for power-saving (not in the turbo mode). The charger has a proprietary tip. The small clipper head is a piranha... nice. It cuts whatever it touches and is very precise. With the exception of the power button location, great product.

Hey, thanks for checking my review hope it helps. When I finally got my unit it started with a great first impression. Packaging was great and instructions were a lot though welcomed addition. This shaver/trimmer for it's price point tries to give you a lot for your dollar which includes 6 different trimmers ranging from Ears to head. Following it's recommendations I began to shave to really try my unit out.. A little about me, I have on my neck an area that always comes out very red and bumpy and was curious to see how this shaver handled it. To my surprise very well shaving was pleasant and didn't seem to irritated my skin that much at all in comparison to every other shaver I've used. One of my dislikes was it seemed like I was going to a haircut place while using it. What I mean by this is I noticed that instead of just one or two fingers having a little hair covering them it made my whole hand and chest looked covered. Not a con just something I though interesting since I have to clean it up. As we move to other shavers more focused around simple trimming this is where they started to lose me. I felt like I'd have to go over it not once, not twice, not three times but ten to twenty times to make sure I got it good. So in conclusion, if you looking for a shaver with some cool accessories that may or may not be the best but comes with a nice carrying pouch, this could be the shaver/trimmer for you. I personally think some of Phillips brand at the higher price point deserve a spot in your bathroom as your main unit and I found this one a welcomed edition for your trips where you wont have that fear of losing it. Thanks for reading and good luck on your choice.

Versatile trimmer that can be used in the shower or at the sink in front of a mirror. Nice bag for keeping the trimmer and all of the shaving heads and accessories. Has 3 combs for head, beard, and body and 4 interchangeable shaving/trimming heads. Pros - Water Resistant - Rechargeable battery - Good battery life - Multiple shaving/trimming attachments - Turbo button for easily cutting through thicker hair - Nice real leather travel case Cons - Lacks a cleaning brush - Hard to clean hair out of attachments and over time the build-up of hair effects the speed/cutting of the attachments - The nose hair attachment is awkward to use.

This guy is great! It has a sleek design and feels sturdy. Shower friendly means I can do my trimming whenever I feel like it. This is my first trimmer that can be used in the shower so I was a little nervous, but it works and performs great. The attachments are mostly standard, but there is one (see picture) that is my favorite for trimming and cleaning up hair.

I got this on sale on cyber Monday so the value equation worked. Long battery life, powerful, waterproof. Every man needs a tool like this

I have no words on how great this is. It had such a wide variety of interchangeable parts, it'a super precise and leaves a fresh cut. I highly recommend this.
