Customers consistently note the Multigroom Series 7400's excellent battery life and ease of use, along with its waterproof design and useful attachments. Many appreciate its power and water resistance, finding it convenient for showering. However, some users found the trimming performance inconsistent and the body shaver less effective than expected for a close shave.

    Excellent Multi Purpose Groomer

This is an excellent grooming tool. It is nice to have so many options for trimming, clipping and shaving. The battery lasts about an hour on a full charge. Cleaning is one of the best features of this tool - you can rinse it off directly under water and could even use it in the shower. There is an included carrying case (a small bag), however it would be nice to have a hard case to keep everything more organized.

This trimmer performs well, but the premium pricing seems a bit over the top. [ Pros ] - Aesthetically pleasing design. - Strong motor performs well, allowing the trimmer to keep up without me having to slow down, even when cutting scalp hair. - Comes with a leather carry case. [ Cons ] - Doesn’t come with a charging stand/caddy; I would much rather have this than a carrying case. I’ve been spoiled by trimmers that come with charging stands with fitted compartments for each head and attachment. - Bulky and non-ergonomic body makes the trimmer feel a bit unwieldy. - As with other cheaper trimmers I’ve used, plenty of hair makes its way through the trimmer heads and all the way down to the actuator and surrounding lubricant--a nasty mess to deal with regularly. - In my case, the included lubricant was packaged with the power cable, which it leaked all over. No lubricant was provided for the actuator that powers the trimmer/shaver heads.

The Philips Norelco - Multigroom Series 7400 Wet/dry Trimmer With 3 Guide Combs - Black/chrome (Black/Grey) is a waterproof groomer with multiple guides and trimming accessories (a total of eight). I have used the 7400 in the shower and also dry. It is without a doubt the best electric trimmer I have used. It cuts nicely and also has a turbo boost function for dense hard to cut hair. The trimmer charges quickly – about an hour. It is very comfortable to hold and looks nice as well. Being waterproof it is quite easy to clean. The storage bag is classic leather – looks nice.

A great little razor. Comes with several different attachments for various functions, including an ear/nose hair trimmer, body shaver, and hair combs. Was afraid to use the hair combs on myself, but the others are goid. The body shaver does not do a very good job on the face though which is why I gave it 4 stars. Hilds charge very well.

I have a hard time using scissors to trim my mustache and also when I receive haircuts, the cord gets in the way. This tool is very handy for all of the grooming needs a man needs and then some. I like the fact that it is waterproof (can be used in the shower) and is on the light side to handle. My old electric device weighed considerably more. I'd say that this has cut my grooming time in half as well.

This Norelco trimmer is great. Comes with trimming attachments for different hair lengths, also a few different style trimmers, for example, the nose and ear trimmer for those that might have the need for that. The body trimmer is great to clean you up. Also, it charges extremely fast which was great to use it shortly after getting this. If you are looking for a new beard trimmer consider this one.

Way more than a single device for grooming

I was skeptical, because so often it seems there are specialty products for each need - hair clippers, razor, nose hair trimmer, scruffy beard trimmer, and body hair clipper. This does all of these things in one unit. The unit claims a 60 minute run time between charges, and I don't know about that just yet, but it has been through a haircut, neck trim, and some other things, and that is way more than the 10 minutes I got out of my other razor. The best part is that for the hair/scruffy beard trimmer, the adapters are a single adapter that you slide and lock into place for the differing lengths of hair. That is so cool because normally you have 12 different adapters, of which you only use 1 or 2, and the others just take up space and fall all over the place. With this, you slide in the hair clipper, click it into the length slot you want, and you are good to go! There is a turbo mode, for those times when you might have let your hair get a little longer, which ramps up the motor speed to help you get through these challenge areas. And it comes with a nice storage bag to keep all the parts and unit in, including the charger. This helps keep you organized and to take on travel as well. Nothing worse than being on travel and having to worry about finding a barber shop. This solves that problem. It is a nice unit, and hope it lasts as long as I can imagine needing and using it. Seems sturdy enough to make this happen.

Great for trimming side burns, and grooming other facial hair. For me, its eyebrows and nose hairs. With the included combs, it makes grooming other areas of the body quick and clean. Even in the shower. Kit includes rechargeable trimmer, blade oil, combs and a cool leather-like zippered pouch to store it. Perfect for achieving the clean but manly appearance (razor stubble).

I have had a few other body trimmers before and this one is by far better than the others. The travel bag would be better if it had spaces for attachments, but overall it works for me. The only issue is the sliding power button is located where your thumb would be and I have turned it off a few times.

This trimmer has a great feel of heft and makes controlled cuts easy. It offers a great comb selection and attachments. My chief complaint is that it ONLY works when charged. Using the device when the battery depleted is not possible by plugging the device in and using it tethered. This is the mark of a truly great trimmer, as I don't always use them for daily grooming, nor are they plugged in full time since my bathroom only has one set of outlets and the wife claims dominion over at least one of those two plugs (right guys?). If you're a daily trim groomer or you have the space to keep this thing on the charger full time it seems to be capable of service to you for a long life as it has a very nice blade system and is very well made. If you (like me) need to do random grooming touch-ups just every week or so it may be a challenge to keep this thing operational when needed by charging ahead of time, but will otherwise serve you well. There are other trimmers on the market that work tethered and eliminate this issue.

The razor gives a good shave. I wasn’t able to achieve perfect smoothness on my face, but it did an excellent job of cleaning up the edges of my beard and trimming it to an overall even height. It advertises itself as being shower safe, but I’ll confess to not being eager to test this as I’m not keen on having electrical devices with me in the shower (even if they are supposedly safe for use in water). I can vouch that I was able to rinse off the head without any negative side effects. It should be noted that the razor will not operate if plugged in. This can only be used as a cordless razor. I let it charge overnight, and I have used it twice now with no noticeable dip in power. The razor has a turbo button that will supposedly give it more power to get through tough to shave areas. I personally thought it just made a little more noise. I didn't notice any appreciable difference in performance, but someone else may be able to get more use out of this function. Overall, I’m fairly impressed by this device.

Have been using the Norelco 7400 very several weeks now and after a lukewarm first reaction to the product have found that I indeed like this product and use it frequently. My first take was it was not efficient but once I got the hang of find the it works remarkably well in keeping facial hair at bay. Do not have a moustache or beard and my main use is for nose and ear hair removal, which if you trim on a regular basis is quite quick. Point being if you allow the hair to grow you will take a bit more time cleaning up. Personally, I get hair growth in the external auditory area, the outer part of the ear canal opening, and not sure if it is recommended for use in this area. I do clear the hair there but leaves my ears with a bit of buzz from the high pitch hum of the device, though clears quickly. The Turbo mode comes in very handy as it makes quick work of your trimming. Like the design, easy to handle and looks good on my sink counter next to electric shaver, if you are in to aesthetics.

I like the attachments that come with it too. I can use it to trim up after a week or so after going to the barber so i can look like i just a fresh trim. Overall good product.

    One trimmer, 2 People!

This seems like the ultimate grooming tool. One awesome reason is because of the waterproof design lets you use it in the shower. Now I can throw away the disposable razors for good. It comes with eight attachments but my husband uses the nose trimmer the most and I use the body shaper the most. Imagine that, 2 people using the same trimmer and (male/female). The function that takes this trimmer to next level is the setting to increase cutting speed. I’ve gone over some areas and need a closer cut or need to get it done once over because of the area im trimming so, I push the turbo button and it’s a closer and quicker trim. Once I’m done, plug it in and its ready to go the next use. I didn’t really read the instructions, out the box and started using it, so it must be easy! We probably wont use the other trimmer attachments but I think the 2 we use now and maybe one more makes it worth the money. Again, we now have one trimmer btwn the 2 of us. Oh the cons…………uhhhhhh, honestly I’m pulling this out my eyeball but the leather or pleather bag it comes with is really big for just the trimmer and the small attachments. Lol, that’s all I got.

*Pros* - Waterproof. I don’t use it while wet but it makes cleanup easy. - Nice storage pouch to keep everything together. - Uses a simple charging cord instead of a clumsy cradle or stand. - Decent number of attachments although I will only use the full size trimmer head and body comb. - The comb height stays put once set and doesn’t accidentally slide to another setting. It is almost too difficult to change but I learned using the pad instead of the tip of my thumb makes it easier to adjust. *Cons* - TERRIBLE power and turbo button design. The buttons protrude from the body and require very little pressure making it easy to accidentally turn on while adjusting the comb height. Worse yet, it makes it easy to accidentally turn off while in use. They are smack dab in the center where you hold the trimmer. Horrible design. - The body comb has enclosed sides which makes it difficult to clean hair trimmings out of the way while you trim. It ends up being easier to completely remove the comb, blow or rinse, then reattach the comb and adjust to desired height. What a pain. If the sides of the comb were opened up a bit more it would make it easier to clear the trimmings. - Nose trimmer isn’t a good design. The rotary style trimmers are superior in ease of use, comfort and safety. The 3100, 5100 and 7100 have the rotary style so why not the 7400. - Foil shaving head has those pre-trimmers (with teeth) on both sides of the head. Most of these products promote this feature yet there are always reviews with negative feedback -including this one. Why not leave the teeth off one side so you can shave up close to areas without risk of getting bitten by the teeth?! - Rechargeable battery is not user replaceable. Every brand/model has the same complaint in user reviews, the batteries just don’t last. The power button on this trimmer is a terrible design. Their BodyGroom trimmers use a recessed rubberized button that requires a deliberate push so why use such a horrible button on the series 7000 MultiGroom product. Completely different design teams that don’t share what works and what doesn’t? SMH…. We've had this trimmer for a little over a week and I’m trying to give it a fair chance but my wife used it once and it bit her so she won’t use it again (body comb on lowest setting 3). She probably should have used it on setting 5 or higher for the first use but our old BodyGroom BG2040 on setting 1 never bit her. The combs stay on your desired setting and don’t accidentally slide out of adjustment. The body comb is difficult to clean out hair trimmings as you work. The included hair clipper comb and stubble (beard) comb are open on the sides and easier to clear clippings. Their BodyGroom BG2040 comb is also open on the sides so I don’t know what they were thinking when they made the body comb in this kit. This MultiGroom might be great for travel but to me it is a compromise. Personally, I have a nice corded (no battery) hair trimmer my son and I use when we don’t go to the barber and we have owned it more than a decade. My wife and I got several years of use from a BodyGroom Series 7100 BG2040 before the battery died. I have a nice rotary nose hair trimmer that uses a AA battery (eneloop). I shave with a old school double edged safety razor. This MultiGroom might do all those functions but it doesn’t do them as well as the specialized tools. I’ve been wanting to replace the BodyGroom 7100 because my wife and I really like that groomer but I have a hard time spending that much on something with built-in obsolescence. Judging from reviews, we were lucky we got years out of it instead of months. I vote with my wallet, manufacturers need to design these with user replaceable batteries and/or better charging circuitry. I’ve read reviews for months considering all brands and in the end I bought a Philips Norelco GoStyler that runs on a AA battery. Yes, it is a beard trimmer but the small head works very well below the neck. The best thing is when the battery runs out of juice I quickly swap a fresh rechargeable eneloop and complete the job. I’ll continue using this 7000 MultiGroom until the battery finally stops holding a charge but I’m glad I didn’t buy it.

This isn't the best or for a full face of hair but i will get the job done. I'm not cheaply made that you can tell right off the bat but going forward I personally will need something that can get a little closer, but for shape ups and such, this is perfect.

This trimmer comes with everything you need and will get the job done. The different pieces snap in place and stay put and fine adjustments can be made. The housing does feel a little "cheap" which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, but it works great.

This is a great starter face, head and body trimmer. The packaging of the shaver was nice and it was very easy to unpack and keep track of all of the attachments. A leather bag is also included which helps store the shaver and all of the attachments. It took about an hour to charge the shaver for the first time. I used it to shave. I like the shaving attachment as it has two small blades to precut any long hairs and then the regular shaving attachments has an easier time for a closer shave. The clipper attachments are easy to put on and they seem to stay in place so that an even cut is made. Attaching the other attachment takes a little used to, but once you figure out how to connect them, it is easy. The trimmer has enough power to shave, trim body hair and cut hair. I like how their are two different size clippers blades for an even closer cut. Over all I was very happy with the trimmer. The only improvements I would like to see is a usb port for a charger and different finish where the metal part is, as it is a little bit slippery at first.
