I have purchased several different trimmers to clean up my beard and trim my hair. This set is one best I’ve had. No pulling of hair, no pinching on sensitive skin areas.. the auto sharpening ensures they are always ready to do the job. I highly recommend this set to anyone looking for a quality cordless trimmer.

This was a replacement; love the shave and cut, however am missing the vacuum feature from my previous unit. Hair is all over the place. The added benefits are the replacement heads - meets all of your hair needs in one unit.

had a Philips multi-groom 3100, which is not waterproof and comes with lots of non-adjustable combs for various lengths. it worked fine but I prefer one that is both waterproof and easy to carry with. this new one is perfect for my needs, mostly giving myself a quick and sharp haircut. it also charges very fast with an indicator, unlike my old one, definitely a bonus during travel. the only con is that due to its waterproof design, the blade has a round narrow connector, making it hard to clean the hair stuck inside. it is perfectly stainless and washable, but still the hair cannot be flushed out. hence the four star rating.

I bought this as a Christmas gift and was really impressed with how well it works. My husband was thrilled with all of the different attachments and the fact that it came with a bag to keep it all in. Very satisfied with this purchase.

I received the Norelco Multigroom 7400 beard and hair trimmer and put it through several uses. It comes with several attachments. It includes a body hair trimmer which also has a decent shaving head incorporated in the center of the head. Although the shaving head is not of the quality that you get on a dedicated electric shaver, I used it and found it to actually work well. It would be a useable substitute if you were traveling and left your razor or electric shaver home. The body hair shaver works great and you can use the shaving head if getting really close is important. It has two cutting heads, one about 3/4 inch wide for tight area trimming, it does not have height adjusting attachments, and one that is about an inch and 1/8 wide that you can attach a beard trimming height guide/comb and hair trimming combs. It worked fine but as you adjust the cut closer with the beard trimmer it pulls away from the cutting edge of the cutting bar which makes the angle that you hold the trimmer critical to the height of the cut. If you like a short beard/ stubble cut you will have to pay attention to hold the trimmer at the same angle. You can get as low as a 5 O'clock shadow if you like. All the trim height attachments have a click stop adjustment and they are marked so you can always go back to where you like it after changing attachments. It has a shorter hair trimming comb, which I used. I am older with mostly grey/ white hair that tends to get uneven and frayed or fuzzy at the ends and I found that this really works well for trimming and evening. I did not use the comb/height adjustment attachment for long hair as I don't have long hair, but it looked as if it would work fine for touchups. The cutter seems to be of really good quality. It worked really well by itself for freehand trimming those loose hairs that pop out after you have trimmed. Even fine hairs by themselves were cut easily. It has an ear/nose trimmer, which I didn't try and it comes with a bottle of cutting edge lubricant. The only negatives that I have is that it doesn't come with a cleaning brush and the on off button is on the front side instead of the rear where your thumb will be. Having your fingers on the side away from you where the touch on/off button it is possible to inadvertently shut it off. Neither of these effects the usefulness of the trimmer. Advertised battery life of the rechargeable battery is rated at 60 minutes. I can't testify to battery life yet, but it charged from completely dead when I got it to full in about an hour. It has a fast emergency charge that will give you 5 minutes of use. It comes with a nice travel bag and if you have room in your bathroom cabinet you can use the plastic tray that holds the attachments in the package to store them for easy availability. I have had several trimmers in this price range and this Norelco Multigroom 7400 seems to be more versatile and has a better cutting trimmer edge than the one I had before. As with all trimmers none of them are exactly precise and are dependent on the angle you hold them to achieve short even trims and the same holds true for this trimmer. I gave this 4 stars because of the lack of a cleaning brush and the placement of the on/off button. Those may not be concerns to you and I am sure some may rate it a five.
