Customers are saying

Customers value the wireless functionality, ease of use, and range of this GamePad Classic Wireless Controller. Many appreciate the controller's compatibility with various Nintendo systems and its generally positive feel and responsiveness. However, some users experienced issues with connection stability and battery life, while others found the size less than ideal. The short cord length of the original controller was also a frequent point of criticism.

If you own an NES Classic, you already know the cords are WAY too short. Enter this controller. PROBLEM SOLVED. Nuff said. Buy it.

I was so tired of playing with the controller next to the NES and sitting on the floor because the cord is really short. Not anymore with this new item.

The remote works alright, but tends to lose connectivity quite a lot. If you're an avid gamer like myself, and find yourself getting upset if a button doesn't work on time, then this controller will annoy you. Great for convenience though, since the actual remote for the system is too short. On the plus side, I had my 5 year old nephew play with it and he didn't notice a difference.

This is a better alternative than the original snes mini controller which had a cord about 3 ft. No longer will I have to stand right in front of my tv

They have pretty decent span (about 20-30 feet), but often need to be pointing right at the machine, otherwise they drop connection.

Works great with the NES classic. This should've come with the system instead of the controller with the ridiculously short cord.

The NES Classic comes with one controller but the cord is very short, this wireless controller allows you to play from a normal distance.

I bought these because the corded version that came with the Classic had such short cords, you had to sit right in front of the TV. I thought the wirelsss ones would be better that buying the extension. They dont always connect right away and it seems to me that they are sometimes slow to respond from your command to the actual game

Don't bother finding the $10 wired controller and $10 extension cable like I did. Just get the wireless one. it takes less than 3 minutes to setup. Open the box, put batteries in the controller, put the dongle into the NES console, and hit the start button. 1-2-3. Response time is the same as wired pack-in Nintendo brand wired controller, and far better than the Insignia that I tried first. Bonus: press both Start and Reset buttons in the middle of the controller to access the NES Console game selection screen. Much more efficient than heaven forbid, standing up and walking to the unit to press the Reset on the console (poor design on Nintendo's part, but this solves it so it's a moot point).
