Customers value the wireless functionality, ease of use, and range of this GamePad Classic Wireless Controller. Many appreciate the controller's compatibility with various Nintendo systems and its generally positive feel and responsiveness. However, some users experienced issues with connection stability and battery life, while others found the size less than ideal. The short cord length of the original controller was also a frequent point of criticism.

Good 3rd Party Controller for NES Classic

Great addition to your NES Classic. The NES Classic only ships with one controller and the cord is very short. This is a wireless controller and makes playing the games easy. The controller is different in design to the original one, but it feels almost better. Fits the hand better.
The only downside is that the wireless link often becomes broken for a few moments and then reconnects. It can mess up game play, but it is tolerable to be able to play wirelessly.

I bought this because of the controller system reset function.
The controller is of good quality and the added shape is good for ergonomics. The bad is that it occasionally has connection drop issues that are not very frequent but does happen occasionally.
It's worth picking up. It there may be better options out there

Slight input lag

The controller connects quickly and works well, though there is a slight input lag when compared to the standard controller. It's just enough to make me prefer the bundled controller, despite its (literal) shortcomings, but worth having for 2-player fun -- especially since the Nintendo-branded version is not yet back in stock.

Convenient for the NES

This wireless controller is pretty convenient for our NES. They didn’t have this back in the day when I had a Nintendo so it’s a nice feature to have a wireless device. The only issue is that with our young boys, it goes missing more than the one hooked in which is a pain. If you remember to put it up and away then I guess it’s not an issue.

This controller for the NES classic gets rid of my only big complaint about the console: the terribly short controller cable by going completely wireless. It also has a shortcut to go to the home screen, so no need to get up and hit the reset button on the console. Haven't experienced any issues in the time I've been using it.
