Got the membership to save money on a big purchase. Not sure how much it’s worth it beyond that.

My Best Buy Plus membership has been a great experience. The exclusive member pricing saved me a lot on big purchases, and the included support options like Geek Squad are super convenient. I especially love the fast shipping and extra protection offers. It’s definitely worth it if you shop at Best Buy regularly.

PROS: it saved my behind by, extending the time i had to return a dishwasher that ended up being a terrible purchase, so we were able to get a different one we love. CONS: they claim that they will refund you for purchases that go on sale within a year of you paying full price….. of course, this has never ever happened. Not sure if it’s worth it.

The reward system makes it totally worth it, you don't even need to shop at best buy, like what? Shop anywhere and get free rewards at best buy, why would you do that.

We earned certificates to purchase other items in store and received credit for price reduction.

I purchased a set of 3 gateway eero pro 6 plus internet mesh modules and when the price decreased having the membership Bestbuy matched the lower price. I was so happy with how the membership worked I purchased another 3 units. Great product and a great company.

WARNING: The membership perks of free 2 day shipping and 60 day return policies, among others do not apply to items purchased from 3rd party marketplace resellers. Also the Best Buy website does not allow filtering out 3rd party Marketplace resellers as of 10/10/2025. I searched for a Yamaha AV receiver I just bought from Best Buy, and apparently it is now ONLY listed by third party resellers, even though I just bought it a few months ago. Also when searching for items, who is selling it ( Best Buy or 3rd Party) isn't an option in the website search filter, nor is it make apparent when looking at a list of multiple results. I only see disclosure of the third party seller in the product page. If Best Buy wants a third party marketplace they need to be upfront about how any yearly subscription may or may not apply to each purchase, and make search results filterable. Best buy needs to do better than this clownish implementation of a 3rd party marketplace that impacts the value of our My Best Buy memberships, and be more open about what they are doing, and about how the value of the My Best Buy memberships have now diminished since it is not applicable across most all product search results amymore.

My church want to buy a laptop for the Pastor. I bought HP Envy 15", R7, 16GB/512GB (with $400 sale discount!) on Feb 16, on July 5 we give it back for service because it got very hot and cuts out randomly and when it start up there is a recovery blue screen. After I got it back, I can't back to the system and I return it again for another service on Oct. 7 and I got it back on Oct 17. Hopefully everything good now. The Geek squad guys is so fast to do their job. They sent it to HP Service Center because it still in factory guarantee.

By paying a small membership fee and allowing ongoing best buy customer purchase at a lower price, is great. Though I didn’t purchase much this year due to circumstances but I will pay another year for what will come and plan for things I want to get for a lower price. I do wish they have more selection of things I’m interested rather than random items selected by Best Buy promotion area

This membership is actually beneficial for me. I don’t go to Best Buy often but when I do I receive good savings. I’ve also received cash back and discounts that I wouldn’t be able to get otherwise. It works out for me-

It is nice to have the benefits offered here, but I did hope for more when the opportunity presented itself. I have spent a good share of my budget over the last year updating my life; I hope that they will continue to support the investment I have made in them!

I was a previous member of the much pricier tier during the pandemic but it just wasn't worth it for my use case so I cancelled. When Best Buy established tiers based on need/use, the lower tier made sense as you received an extended return window (60 days vs 15) and access to the Plus deals that do pop up so I would say this tier is definitely worth it and I will most likely renew.

Good value. Bought two laptops and get $75 rebate which cover the cost of this membership. And a peace of mind that my laptops are covered with a good plan.

I have had the membership for a couple of months. Not sure I'm seeing value yet. Also, I was somewhat duped into buying this. The associated told me that by signing up and paying the $49.99 I was eligible for $150 in money to spend. I was lead to believe that even though the certificate would expire, that I just needed to call, etc. That turned out not to be true. Through my purchases I qualified for rewards certificates. These are available to everyone, not just BB members and they expired in a month. I called to get them extended as I was traveling and didn't yet have a need for something but was told these were the type of certificates that could not be extended. Sigh. And..on top of all this, some of my purchases the day I bought the membership are not showing on my account. I did an online chat and called customer service but they basically said, "we can see it; don't know why you can't; trust us." Strike two. So far, not really seeing the advantage to the membership. Will be looking into whether I can cancel and they pro rate my refund. Somehow I doubt it.
