First off, I purchased this disc because "Lissie" is my Niece's nickname - I had no idea who this woman was! What a surprise! Her voice is extremely powerful, and on the wails of "Wild West" she reminds me of a young Linda Ronstadt (one of the all-time greats)! "Sun Keeps Risin'" and "Don't You Give Up On Me" are also standout tracks. A future classic!

Her 1st independent release album! I'm GLAD she left her major label to release this album as how she always wanted it to be released. I enjoyed this album better than her previous records. Definitely, my favorite Lissie album!

Great debut at a great price. This album as a great folk/California sound to it.

Love this chick heard some of her earlier stuff and was excited when her new cd was being sold @ best buy. A must check out along with her older stuff.

She has a bit of a raspy sound to her voice with a nice tone. Easy to listen to.

Missie is a new artist to me. While her voice is strong, most of the melodies on this disc were just okay.

A bit of a departure from her previous 2 albums, My Wild West is more mellow and more countryfied (but not country fried). Still a nice collection of songs, but it may take a couple listens nefore you are on board.
