Customers find value in the 7.1.4-Channel Soundbar System's sound quality, with many praising its amazing and spacious sound stage. The easy setup process and the impressive Dolby Atmos feature are also highly regarded. While some customers appreciate the price point, others find it to be a bit expensive. There are also concerns about connectivity issues and the HDMI ARC functionality not working as expected.

This is a great sound system. If you want Dolby Atmos without having to install a full receiver set up, you have three options. Nakamichi, Samsung Q90R, and the new LG Atmos 7.1.4 system. For the Sonos fans out there I'm sorry. I tried all the above systems in a playoff style battle(yes my girl let me buy four systems for testing), and this system came in second. The ONLY reason I went with Samsung is due to the fact the rear speaker are wireless I already own a few ssung products that are connected to the Smart Things app. I live in a loft and have a pretty modern stlye. While the wires on the Nakamichi can be hidden, the set up.os definitely more time consuming that the others. HOWEVER the sound is sooooo worth it. The a good leflvel of sound separation, and you can adjust the sound to your room. To make it simple Nakamichi=Android of Atmos Soundbars.

Searched and searched and studied all the sound bars until I had headaches from it.
Decided on this one and glad I did. It has everything and is extremely easy to set up
Great sound with many geeky adjustments if you want or stick with the defaults.

Over the years I’ve been on the hunt to buy the right sound system for my Father’s set-up. I’ve purchased moderate & expensive but yet, still I wasn’t satisfied. I’ve done my research, I’ve done my homework & I figured “ hey, if it’s trash I’ll just return it” ….
Folks, this is not going back to Best Buy. It is extremely powerful and has multiple functions that make it an all around Powerhouse.
The set up was easy for the most part. I YouTube’d as well just to confirm the connections.
If you’re on the fence, take the leap. If you’re not fully satisfied box it up and return but in my personal opinion that will not be the case. Actually I’m getting one for my place now..so please return lol I’ll take the open box price.

Wasn’t compatible with Samsung tv so now have to use two remotes. The sound was great for the first year but right when the warranty ran out is when we started having issues with the subwoofer and rear speakers. For the price I expected better quality.

I purchased this Nakamichi Soundbar system as a gift for my son. Nakamichi has been making high quality audiophile level equipment for decades. My first Nakamichi product was 30 years ago, a cassette deck with Real-to-Real specs. You can buy consumer grade soundbars and get pretty decent sound quality, or you can go up a step to the Nakamichi system and get improved sound. Will this system give you full ATMOS surround like a full 11 channel built in system, no. But for a portable system that you can take with you this is hard to beat.

The system is very easy to set up the sound is excellent I really like the way it keeps the voice at a level where you can hear them talking even tho the music or bombs are exploding I would recommend this unit, my only complaint is the I would have like to have is a WiFi connection for updates. You can still update via the usb , my only other complaint is that it will not pair with my Comcast remote, but that being said it is a great unit for the price. I had a vizio 7.1.4 and this blows it away I returned the vizio one and bought this one , if I had the extra money I would have bought the the nakamichi one with the two subwoofers

I have owned many home AV products over many years and this is an excellent home theater audio system. Setup and installation are straightforward. The system provides a great soundstage for movies, sports, music, and the surround and spatial audio are first-rate. There is a substantial amount of useful technical support on Nakamichi's web site, and the "Nakamichi Ninjas" are very knowledgeable and responsive with technical questions.

After our 20 year old Bose 3-2-1 system died abruptly, it was time to finally get a soundbar. I’m usually brand loyal, especially if the product lasted a long time. but I decided to shop around and look at other manufacturers. Nakamichi came highly recommended from a trusted source, so the decision was pretty easy. Super easy unboxing and setup. Only problem is my tv is 3 years old and out of date (no TV ARC/eARC HDMI 2.1) - so, guess I need a new tv now. oh well.

Very easy set-up and great sound. On-screen display would be nice, but it is still usable without it. The front of the sound bar displays brief digital text in response to options on the remote. I connected my to the ARC HDMI port on the TV and it worked flawlessly right out of the box.
I read earlier reviews that mentioned the unit doesn't come with a memory stick to upgrade the firmware. However, my unit did come with a memory stick for the firmware upgrade. The process was very easy. Overall, I am pleased with this purchase.

I bought this soundbar to use with my new tv and this thing sounds amazing. It covers pretty much all formats as long as you are using hdmi connection. The only thing that could be a concern is availability of earc on this soundbar for use of hdmi 2.1 capabilities as this soundbar is maxed out to hdmi 2.0 so 4k hdr @ 60hz will play fine but no 4k @ 120hz pass through. But will work just fine for any surround formats. Movies and games sound best for music its decent

This is a truly wonderful sound system. Sound was way better than others I’ve heard including Bose. I returned it only because I couldn’t handle the wires for surround speakers. Replaced with a JBL 9.1 system which is maybe only slightly better for $200 more but love the wireless surround speakers. Highly recommend if you can deal with the wires.

Not much to say other than PERFECT! Sound is amazing. Clean, crisp and nice bass. Perfect movie theater sound for my living room. Soundbar sounds amazing on it's own, add the 8" sub for some really nice bass and boom. The rear channels sound great and give movies that extra kick. I hear things in movies I've never heard before. Pick a system for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

The unit itself plays well and had a very clear and crisp sound with deep enough bass(not very strong) But i was never able to get it working with my Sony TV with HDMI ARC input. It won’t work without restarting it couple of times or clicking reset on soundbar. It won’t automatically switch inputs too ( i had plugged in my Fire Stick into soundbar). I literally tried every possible thing, removed and replugged all connections at least 5 times. Reset soundbar and factory reset my TV a couple of times, flipped HDMI cables. I was convinced that my ARC TV input is the problem so repackaged entire thing for return. I replugged my existing ViZio Atmos SB46 which i was trying to replace with this unit. That worked as Charm with all the things working perfectly so I guess it wasn’t meant to be for me. Can’t take trouble of restarting n resetting everything everytime just for a slightly better sound.
