Customers praise the 7.2.4-Channel 800W Soundbar System for its exceptional sound quality, with many noting the clarity and depth of the audio. The bass, in particular, is described as deep and powerful. Setup is also said to be a breeze, making it easy for users to get started. At its price point, customers feel they are getting great value for their money.
On the downside, some users have experienced connectivity issues, with the audio occasionally cutting out. Others have had problems with the rear speakers, while a few find the infrared remote control to be limiting due to its line-of-sight requirement.

Great Soundbar System for the price range!

I got this Nakamichi to replace the Vizio 5.1.4 Atmos system I purchased while back. That one is going into a bedroom to replace an older system that started having issues.
I would personally recommend getting this if deciding between the two. This would probably be the way to go if deciding on a sound bar system in this price range. I cannot comment on any others as I have not tested them myself, but the price for what you are getting seems to top other options out there. The Vizio is not a bad system but the Nakamichi beats it in a few areas.
The biggest difference for me is the surround channels. The thing I want most from any surround system, especially an Atmos system, is really good surround and height effects. This system delivers that better than the Vizio.
I think the Vizio beats the Nakamichi ever so slightly on deep bass but the Nakamichi feels more balanced and even which can be attributed to having two 8”s instead of one 10” that you can place on either side of the room. That said, the Nakamichi may also go deeper if I were to play with some of the settings a little more.
And speaking of settings, the Nakamichi wins hands down. The Vizio line of soundbar systems have a terrible “dot” menu where there are a column of white lights on the soundbar that show you what is going on. For volume alone it’s not bad. If you want any other information, it’s atrocious. You have to know exactly what you are looking at to make any meaningful changes. The Vizio remote also has no backlight and limited buttons. Yes the Nakamichi remote is large but I love it. The red/orange backlight looks great and you can adjust nearly every setting with the push of a very clearly marked button. There is a button for nearly every individual channel.
The Nakamichi also has 3 HDMI inputs rather than just 1 on the Vizio. More is always better with inputs. This system is not my favorite in terms of physical designs, specifically the rear surrounds, but you don’t care when watching a movie in the dark.

Love this. Wireless subs make it easy to do surround sound in an open floor plan without plugs in the floor

I am very satisfied with this purchase so far and that I caught it while it was on sale. I originally was gonna get the JBL 9.1 but after further reviews went with the Nakamichi since they are the same price. I had a simple cheap soundbar before this that I purchased off of Amazon I can tell a complete difference. Deep bass and true Dolby Atmos surround and can feel the vibration from the sub woofers have to monitor the volume can get really loud. My goal was to successfully make a home theater setup and I think I accomplished that.

My first sound bar. It’s the best I’ve heard so far. Very easy to set. The best sounding for that home theater experience. The two subwoofers give you that experience even more.

Third purchase in my search for a true home surround sound that worked great, while not taking up a lot of space. This system works and sounds great. Everything from the bass to the treble is customizable and truly has Dolby Atmos built-in (confirmed when playing Xbox with my son). Movies have a crisp clean sound and I no longer need the subtitles on to hear the movie when they start whispering in a scene.
Since there was no floor model, I kept the box and all materials when I ordered it. I was truly planning on it being another system I would need to take back to the store. Man was I wrong! Best entertainment purchase in a long time.

I'm impressed. The soundbar is by far better than any other sound bar I've seen but yet still dont get the full affect that a real 5.1 would give you. But overall the sound is amazing quality. Great bass and ya I'm satisfied with my purchase

Lets talk about this amazing full sounding system that could only be bested by the next model up or a traditional receiver speaker system. This is a full home theater system in a box for nearly any sized room. Having dual subs bests having one sub any day! You can crank this system up and wake the entire house or use it in night mode to enjoy the audio more locally. Once everything is setup how you want it then it's easy to turn on and listen!
Pros: Sound quality, Atmos is pretty good, the level of sound without distortion is amazing! The soundbar and accessories feel premium.
Cons: Setup isn't on par with newer Soundbars, the large remote has all of the functions on it vs an intuitive interface. Rear speakers have to be connected to the sub limiting how you can position them (extra long cables helps a lot).

Couldn’t be happier with this system. I replaced a Bose system with this Nakamichi system and it blows Bose away. Very easy to install, everything is great plug and play. The sound bar has 4 HDMI imputs also, very important in today’s world of electronics.

I should have reviewed this sooner, I was too busy enjoying my apartment vibrate. This thing is quite impressive. I took months of research and watching videos to come to a decision of what I am looking for in a future proof sound system during the pandemic. The bass, mids and highs are all superb. Im not an audiophile but I know what sounds good and this sounds amazing.
If youre in the market for a home theater set up as we now move into a more direct to consumer future, invest in high quality items to elevate your experience. When Mulan came out people thought of the $30 price point as being a bit too high. I looked at it as pretty reasonable. I have a 65inch q70 with this sound bar set up so my movie theater set up is above average and it did not disappoint. So if more movies head this route, might as well make the best out of this situation.
Here is what i hope can help others. There is a problem with this soundbar and im going to do my best to explain the issue that i could not find on the web. I am a gamer so i do have my xbox connected to the soundbar and soundbar connected to the tv via arc port. So to play you would have your soundbar on. If you use wireless gaming headphones, there is potential for it to scramble the signal from the hdmi to the tv. What would happen is that i would turn on my tv and the soundbar would autoshut off in standby since it doesnt detect anything. I couldnt figure it out and nothing online described this issue. After working with Nakamichi support directly, they weren't positive the exact cause either. So we did an hdmi refresh and factory reset, both. It fixed the issue, then 2 months later my nephew put on the wireless headphones again, i thought nothing of it. I was just playing with it not too long ago so there was nothing that changed. So the only thing I can think of that is different when I played vs my nephew is that he likes to use headphones. I did the reset again and it returned to normal and havent used a headset since and everything is good.

Wow wow wow. Read the manual and see what options work best for you sound wise. I always rock with music mode with all channel stereo and it's the best. Watch the bass volume because it will shake your home. I don't even want to know what the dual 10" subwoofers can produce as these are 8". Rear surround speakers each connect to one of the subs (left and right) so not fully wireless. Picked up some stands for the rear surrounds. No ra-grets on this purchase at all.

Paired with an 86" LG Nanocell 90 Series TV, the sound is fantastic for a soundbar. Dolby Atmos content fills my large family room (over 30'x30'). Not lacking any power either (keeping the volume setting at 30 is plenty loud!) I do have occasional issues with the sound either cutting out or sounding muffled for some content and I have to "reset" the soundbar. Nakamichi support has been very good so far, but the issues persist. I would have rated it 5 stars if it wasn't for these issues.

One of the best sound systems I've ever owned. The bass is deep, the highs and mids are what you would expect from a Nakamichi system. Dolby Atmos is amazing and the double bass is mind blowing.
If there is anything negative I could say is I'm still trying to figure out the best sound settings for programs that are not up to modern day standards, but that is more of a preference thing than a knock on the actual system.

The system started acting up after couple days. The sound would just go and the remote cannot be used to do adjustment. The system had to be manually turned off and on for sound to resume.
Long hours spent with customer service to have issue assessed.

I felt underwhelm when playing videos/music on youtube. Bass was lacking. Huge difference in bass quality when watching videos on amazon prime, the bass was shattering. It was an easy setup/install. The system sounded right away like it was automatic even if earc on tv was off.

Bought this after a friends recommendation of this brand, not a well known brand, but excellent quality product over all. I am not an expert in sound systems, first one to use with 2 subwoofers and ATMOS, best theater effects. I have used Sony, Samsung and now Nakamichi, cannot be more happy with the quality product.

The sound is pretty amazing but the audio cuts out so much. Pretty much done with blue tooth wireless sound bars. It cuts out during movies for like 2 seconds every 10-15 minutes. Best Buy of course didn’t want to come to the home to check it out and see if somehow I have it connected wrong so the geek squad service doesn’t help. They said bring it in but that is worthless if They can’t see how I have it hooked up. I’ve looked up online so many different ways to have it wired and had it run every possible way and it doesn’t fix the issue. This purchase was such a big disappointment. Beware of it. You get stuck with this and Best Buy does little to help. Over 1000 bucks down the drain.
