Base is great sounds like you are right in the middle of the action. Truly an immersive movie experience from home for cheaper than a home theater system

Base is good but the sound is not very clear and totaly good

We just moved into a new house and the layout would not allow a true receiver surround system. So I thought I would go with the best soundbar system I could find. I guess I expected more from Nakamichi. The soundbar itself is good but the primary reason I bought this system was the dual subwoofers. But I should have known that 200 Watt Peak each would not have that punch I had with the dual Klipsch Subs I had. I would have installed my Onkyo Receiver, Dual Polk Centers, 2 Polk Towers, 4 Klipsch side and rear, 2 Klipsch Subs in front and 2 BIC Subs in rear. But I guess this will have to due.

Sound quality is great, but there's a crackling in my speakers I can't get rid of.

This system is very powerful, it doesn't leave anything to be desired as far as sound quality goes. The bass is thunderous and the surround sound leaves you feeling like you are at the center of whatever it is you're listening to. The design is sleek and the height sound effects via Dolby Atmos are phenomenal. I purchased cord covers (highly recommend) because there is so many cords and are a trip hazard without them, but this is only an issue if your couch is not near a wall. Set up was a breeze, part of the appeal of buying this for me was the simplicity of set up. I do have a problem that occurs where the sound bar randomly shuts off in the middle of a movie. At this time I wouldn't deduct a point from the rating unless it happens more frequently.

NAKAMICHI has really impressed me with this 9.4.2 system. it is easy to set up. It makes all my 5.1 and 7.1 systems OBSOLETE. i am amazed at how clear the sound is. I have never heard bass so clean too. This system is so good sounding that i didnt even set up my other systems after hearing it, when i moved to a new home. This has the ability to decode anything , so i bought ATMOS movies to really hear what it does. This take audio to a whole new level, every Digital source has been improved. I think there is no way to go back to just Dolby 5.1. This system has the best voice clarity for some reason, everyone comments on how clear it sounds. The twin woofer system crosses over at 180 hz and it is amazing. The bass is just pefect in the way it loads the room, it is hard to describe the way it sounds. I think i like the bass not being a subwoofer, the Nakamichi solves a lot of room issues with the twin woofers. I have seen the dogs react to noises too, which is amusing in that it so real sounding. I never heard dynamics like this , from soft to loud . i think its quieter. I think the speakers are perfectly matched. I cannot describe how good this works, but every movie i have is now worth watching again just to hear the way it displays the sounds. This system replaces my thx digital system, and every subwoofer and speaker ive got, I dont need them anymore.I DONT need a new reciever or subwoofer..IVE got the best speaker brands here too. I spent too much time trying to achieve loud..and clear sounds by combining speakers, stacking them up.. This system will suffice i think in most homes. i cannot describe how good the sound is, but , i can say it is my only system now . I set it up in 30 minutes.. the only setup issue i had was cables. make sure you use the correct hdmi format cables. i bought 8k cables thinking it needed them, but with a 4k television, all you need is 4k cables. thats it! One other thing, i used tech support to ask questions. they are the best tech support ive ever encounterred. i had the wrong cables at flrst and experieced wierd transient errors. i thought i had a bad dvd player, but Nakamichi knew right away about the cable issues . hdmi cables need to match your television. I have used it loud enough to blow speakers , i thought or overload the subs.. but i never had it at its maximum because it is designed so well. TOTALLY AMAZED.

Very good if you are only using this setup for listening to music however I purchased it to be a part of my home theater system. I did setup properly however the dialogues were not clear, i tried all modes but it was still bad . As I mentioned excellent for listening songs but not for watching Movies.

Got this to upgrade form by Bose 700 system that has the sound bar, rear speakers and subwoofer but no Dolby atoms. Decided to give this a try and it is loud but the sound of the Bose system very clear and sharp.

This unit has so many problems with other devices and So it having only 3 hdmi connections for input may work Good sound but lost sound if I fast forwarded thru a commercial with my genie requiring a full system reboot! I think the two subs take up too much space in relation to where the surrounds will go A 350 but less than 500 buck package We returned ours because it didn’t fit how we watch tv and movies
