Great quality sound system that will blow you away

Soundbar system comes perfectly packed and ready to go for an easy setup. Once installed I immediately went to YouTube and searched Dolby Atmos content. I spent the next two hours in amazement as I shook the house. Pounding base from two subs. With the 9.2 comes movement of sound that you find in the theater at an incredible price. The ol y drawback is when you turn on the TV it takes about 20 seconds before you get sound. Also put a Google chrome in one of the HDMI ports to network it to the rest of the house.

This system is hands down the best sounding sound bar that I have seen on the market, and I have tested and/or purchased several top brands that don’t even compare to this one. The 360 surround sound sounds great and the bass produced by the dual 10”subs is awesome. You won’t be disappointed with this system, great system at a very reasonable price.

BOOOOOM - shakes my whole house

This soundbar is amazing. The sound clarity is top notch and the dual subwoofers are something else entirely. My house rumbles. The first time my dog started barking at things in utter confusion. And the Dolby Atmos is just an incredibly immersive experience. Phenomenal value. Only thing: make sure to use 2.1 HDMI cables - for some reason the protocol is really finicky and it can lead to frustration otherwise. I recon this happens with many devices supporting 2.1 so not a ding on this soundbar.

We needed to update the sound for our living room, and although this was at the top of our budget, I am glad we bought it. Super easy to set up, sounds amazing. I cant wait until my speaker stands come in so that I can move the last 2 into better positions. I am probable not using it to the fullest extent, but the sound is still so much better than anything we had before. The dual sub set up is great as it really balances the room so its not overly one directional. I wasn't sure about that at first, but its a huge bonus

First off, I have always been a fan of Bose, but lately Bose products have had many quality issues for me and so I decided to so some research to look for a great home theater system that was affordable, had great quality sound/build and came together as one piece and I came across this system. It sounds AMAZING! The bass is thunderous great for any movie, plus the highs are so crisp and clear I no longer need the subtitles. The Atmos experience is the best it will not disappoint (really sounds like real life!). It is easy to set up and looks very stylish. I would recommend this system over any other it will not disappoint!

Purchased couple months ago, and man does this thing ROCK! Had two soundbar systems before, but they didn't even come close to what this system sounds like. I have a large living room with an 85" Sony Bravia and the subs just rock the room. With the surround speakers aimed properly it sounds just like going to the movies. I watched Top Gun with my Blu-ray and it was awesome. Setup was very easy. ( Very pleased would purchase Nakamichi again)

I was looking buying a soundbar and speaker system for my basement. While there are many in the market after much research I decided to buy the Nakamichi Shockwafe 9.2.4. Man!! What an experience, the is no comparison to the quality of sound that it produces. With two subwoofer and four wireless surround speakers the experience is theatre like. The sound bar renders a perfect synchronization to the surround effect. If your ever get an opportunity to test it, listen any Dolby Atmos music on Tidal or watch a 4k movie on Netfix or Prime Movies. This one is a true audiophiles dream.

The BEST soundbar system under $2,000

I spent at least two weeks researching soundbar systems every day, until I finally decided on the Nakamichi Shockwafe 9.2.4. I knew that I wanted to get this decision right, so I went to the ends of the internet in my research: watching hours upon hours of YouTube reviews, reading articles on "rtings.com", reading reviews on all of the major electronics websites, reading people's forum opinions, and so on. Boy am I glad that I did. This Shockwafe 9.2.4 is everything that I ever imagined a soundbar system could be. The soundbar itself is crisp and punchy. The rear & side speakers are clear and immersive. The dual subwoofers deliver precise bass at exactly the right moments, without any of the cheap "vibrating" side effects that other sound systems tend to have (such as my old "Vizio"). There are a TON of settings that allow you to shape the sound to your own needs and preferences. This Shockwafe 9.2.4 is an AWESOME soundbar system. If you are on the fence between this and the similarly priced competitors, please let my experience and my opinion help sway you: This is THE soundbar system to get for your living room. Nakamichi, say hello to your newest loyal customer!

I originally purchased the 7.1Ch system for my bedroom and was so impressed with Nakamichi's prompt and courteous customer support that I purchased the 9.2Ch system a few months later as my main sound system in our living room for double the bass, larger subwoofers, and two extra rear speakers. It was well worth the upgrade. When using premium audio formats, the Nakamichi 9.2 sounds like you're in the movie. Aside from the spectacular sound quality, I particularly like how the soundbar conveniently displays the audio format you've switched to when flipping between Dolby, DTS, and Dolby Atmos. This is a fantastic buy for anyone who wants an all-in-one solution without having to purchase a receiver and individual speaker units.

I receieved my nakamichi ultra a few months back. For the price compared to other big brands is a no brainer. The quality of the speakers is way better than i expected, they actually have a bit of weight to them specially the 45" soundbar which is amazing. With ultra, having two 10" subwoofers it really makes a big difference! If you are still decing on it and dont want to spend over $2k for a system that offers dolby vision and dolby atmos with 1000watts look no further.

I, like so many others thinking abut getting the 9.2.4, read as many reviews as I could get my brain wrapped around. I watched every video review known to man before I formed my final opinion and made my ultimate decision. Setup was easy.....and I do mean easy... my room is a 30 x 40 living room.. I have it mounted to my LG 86" TV mounted over my fireplace. I'll keep it short and to the point. Using Netflix (Ultra HD versions) Amazon Prime video, and a pc hooked up to the sound bar.. If you can afford it, you will not...I repeat...you will not be disappointed. Contrary to what any nay sayer says this thing rocks....Dragon Ball Z was taken to new heights playing through this soundbar...Age of Ultron's audio track blew me away... I could go on and on... Wanda...OMG... When switching inputs it does take a few ~3 seconds for the sound to be audible...small price to pay... I can hear the voices clearly and the BOOOOM is not to be played with. Do not have fragile vases near topple over level when this thing is fired up. I have my bass set @ level 8 of 10 and the volume.. I dare not raise it past 40 of 100. Don't take my word for it buy it and try out Bass videos on Youtube... You will be assured that you made the right decision. I vacillated on buying this thing for years.. I'm GLAD I finally pulled the trigger on this purchase.. WOOOOOOOW is all I can say.. Hip Hip Nakamichi... Hip Hip Nakamichi...

I bought the product Thanksgiving and have had no issues. I rarely leave reviews but the product deserves it. This sound system was easy to setup. It has a great variety of programmed settings for any space. The custom settings are very easy to use also. It has a very realistic 3D theater experience combined with my 85” TV. Dolby Atmos really enhances older low quality movies. I would definitely buy this again.

9.2.4 Shockwafe This "soundbar" is nuts. I put soundbar in quotes because this is actually a full blown home theater system by power and sound and soundbar only in name and price point. This setup will replace thousands upon thousands of dollars of home theater components. If you like loud, crisp surround sound with enough bass to make you question if that rumble deep in your stomach was that burrito you had for dinner or the ridiculous dual 10" subwoofers - this system is for you. If you are on the fence over this "bar" or literally any other bar - jump off the fence and don't look back. There is zero competition for this ridiculous setup. I did many months of research when I was looking for something to replace my old bulky components and surprisingly found mixed reviews. Whoever made negative reviews for this thing is either deaf or enjoys the quaint tinny sounds of Victrolas instead. I'm glad I trusted my gut and pulled the trigger. Also a lot of people surprisingly don't know the name "Nakamichi" but I remember them being the high end optional audio systems in 90's-early 2000's Lexus automobiles. Those systems sounded sick too. I'm rambling.. Stop reading and buy this setup. Now! It's the truth.

If you have a simple living room with hard to run wires, cramped for space, you want neat look then look no further buy Nakamichi 9.2. Awesome sound. Brilliant Bass. Simple elegant setup. I have it connected to Sony 4K OLED - the HDMI connections works superbly turning on and off. I fiddle very little. Good investment.

This is an amazing home theater system. I bought it about a month back. Since then I have been using it and it amazes me every time I turn on my TV. I have never experienced surround sound like this before. I like the design of the system as well. All the front channels are compressed into one sound bar. All the back channels are wirelessly connected to the sound bar. This has reduced clutter with the cables. 1000W sound output is also adding lot of punch when I am watching movies. I feel like I am in a real movie theater. In my view this system rivals any other top class home theater systems in the market. They are calling it Sound bar system but this is a full blown home theater system wireless back channels. I like the Idea of two sub woofers. When they produce those low frequency sounds, the floor in my house is vibrating. As far as I know no other system in the market is offering two sub woofers. The remote also comes with various pre-set surround sound modes which is very useful. I turn it into "News" more when watching news. I turn it into "Movies" mode when watching movies. Another best thing is it is Bluetooth enabled. I can also play my music from my phone. So I don't have to by another bookshelf speaker to play from my phone.

Bought a refurbished system to replace a $4k Bose system that died. This system has amazing base with the dual subwoofers, was easy to setup, and is just as good or better on surround sound as the Bose system for less than a quarter of the cost. Have used the system for about two months and am still impressed and the family loves movie night.

    Much Better Than I Expected

I purchased the Nakamichi 9.2.4 Soundbar after my 4 year old Vizio 5.1 Soundbar from Costco died. With absolutely no help from anyone at Vizio (this was a fairly expensive soundbar when I bought it and 4 years is not very long) I started looking on the internets for a soundbar that was a little better. After almost settling on the Sonos system I just couldn't get around how many bad reviews I saw on various websites that carry that particular soundbar. A fear of committing to that price tag kept me looking, until I read an off-hand comment by someone who mentioned Nakamichi. To make a long story short I went down that rabbit-hole of information and happily bought the 9.2.4 Shockwafe. Let me tell you that everything just works on that soundbar...I have absolutely no wires showing anywhere and the first time we watched Jurassic Park with that soundbar all doubts in my wifes mind were put to rest. I didn't expect a whole lot but when I titled the two satellite speakers to point towards the ceiling I couldn't believe the rain in Jurassic Park sounded like it was coming from the ceiling. Fantastic!
