I've had this system for a couple of years now. After hearing similar systems when visiting friends, I don't think there is anything with compatible sound quality on the market at this price. We have been watching films and felt the need to go out to the kitchen, thinking that there was running water, only to realize that it was an audio effect in the film. Sometimes the sound effects are almost unnerving. It is as if someone walks into the room, or birds are chirping outside the window. Granted, I took time to set up our media room for sound, but even without that attention to detail, I would imagine this system would be great in most rooms. Did I mention that the two subwoofers actually shake the sofa when there are well made low frequency effects in a film? The only two things that I wish Nakamichi would change, is that rather than radio frequency sound transmission, I wish the digital audio was transmitted via power line. Face it, unless all of the speakers run on a battery, no system can be truly wireless. Why not send the audio for all of the speakers through the wall socket, which powers them? The final thing, is the user interface, which is abysmal. One must navigate the complex setup via a poorly conceived window in the front of the sound bar, with far too few characters. At this price range, adding a few hundred dollars to insert the user interface over the TV signal would have made this system essentially perfect. If Nakamichi updates the user interface and uses power line audio transmission, I'll be in line to upgrade.

I bought the Nakamichi - Shockwafe 9.2.4 sound system and absolutely love it!!! The sound is clear and crisp, with bass that you can feel in your bone. Each speaker set is adjustable for volume and you can customize the sound to your liking and to the room you are in. I mounted my back and surround speaker to get the very best sound for the room.

I was looking at getting this as soon as it went on sale, wife let me get it lol. It is absolutely AMAZING!! You will NOT regret it one bit! Let's put it this way, I have it set up in my living room downstairs. I have a decent sized 2 story home. I was watching a movie, but had to go upstairs for something, then realized I needed to poop. While pooping, the toilet was vibrating!! I have no negatives regarding this system, I love it love it love it!!

I was looking for a sound system for my house that would require a lot of wires running everywhere and sounded great. The Nakamichi ShockWafe is a solid system for people looking for excellent home theater sound. There are other soundbars that are more expensive that require add ons in order to get the comparable speaker setup that the ShockWafe comes with. I've paired it with my LG C8 OLED 65" tv and my family are now enjoying superb picture and sound in the comfort of our home. If you're looking for a soundbar home theater system under $1200, this is the one to get.

I purchased the Nakamichi Shockwafe 9.2 a month ago and I cant be happier. The sound is amazing! Deep thumping base when needed. The clear voice setting allows even the hard at hearing people a very crisp and clear movie dialog. My advice is, If you are on the fence regarding getting one go ahead and dive in you won't be sorry.

My experience with Nakamichi has been twofold. On one hand, the sound quality has been amazing when it works, which is 99% of the time. The other 1% of the time there is an annoying sound glitch when watching xfinity tv. After reaching out to their tech support, they determined that there was a bug in the firmware causing the issue. The issue is easily resolved by rebooting the system and only occurs once every few weeks, but of course it shouldn’t be happening at all. Their tech support has been very responsive, which is nice but the solution to the problem was to downgrade the firmware and wait for an update. I chose not to downgrade and just wait for the update, which is pending release next month. It’ll be nice to finally have this resolved. On the other side, the quality of sound is just magnificent and makes dealing with this minor annoyance worth it. I still get great atmos effect and I have very high ceilings. Overall extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend that you buy one!

Awesome surround soubd system. Althought the subwoofers are wireless the smallerr speakers are not but they do provide more than wiring to place them where youd like. Super crisp sounds makes it feel like you are at the theather.

Purchased this based on reviews and was not disappointed. Crisp sound and awesome bass. Very easy to set up. I still haven't hooked up the speaker to the recommended arrangement for maximum quality and am already impressed. There is a small audio delay before each sound track, but I think that's for processing, not a big deal to me. Over all very happy with this purchase!

This is the best soundbar for the money, hands down! Customer service is great! (Even during a pandemic) I use it with my Sony xbr55x900f, Nvidia shield pro, ps4 pro and uhd bluray player. If there was 1 thing I would like Nakamichi to improve on this soundbar would be the remote. The ir seems to be a bit weak and need to be pointed directly at the sound bar to work. Not a huge issue for me as I have a harmony elite remote.

System sounds great and in perfect condition. Really powerful system, I can’t even use all of the power it has. Would definitely recommend.

I have had several sound bar sub systems over the years but none could sniff a true surround sound system. This is the first that truly can run with the more expensive and intrusive complete systems. The 2 subs provide great bass. Very satisfied with this system. One issue I had was distortion from one of the subs. Thought it was blown but ended up being one of my routers causing this due to the frequency it was set in.

I have been looking for a sound system for my living room that has it all, and this does! The bass is amazing. And the Dolby atmos is crazy because I would actually look behind me if I heard a noise but it was just the Dolby Atmos haha anyways if your looking for a great sound system to give you that theater sound, this is it!

Best surround system ever!! My whole house shakes!!

A totally awesome system. Replaced my 14 year-old wired Onkyo/Cerwin-Vega 7.1 channel system. And even though the CV subwoofer was a monster (300W/15"), the Nakamichi double 10 inchers simply blow the old CV away! And I love the Dolby ATMOS sound effects coming out of the 4 surround speakers. Overall, couldn't be happier with my Shockwafe system.

I purchased this system after researching in numerous places, online. I was looking for a wireless surround sound system, and Nakamichi definitely did deliver. The sound is immersive, and the system is made with quality as well as consideration for end-user ease of operation, and set up. Do your own research and you will come to the same conclusions, should you choose to purchase.

This excellent soundbar works as well as all the ratings say that it does and works very well with my Sony Bravia.! The bass doe's rattle my living room floor if I dare to turn up the volume and the midranges sound very good also when the settings are set the right way along with the long soundbar as well.

This Nakamichi 9.2.4 performs way better than I expected. I bet it's the dual subwoofers that truly make the difference. I was kind of doubtful to switch to Nakamichi in the beginning but I did remember it works with Lexus years ago on the old models and wow, it's great. I believe no soundbar out there can compete with it and it does a way better job than the 7.2 surround system I replaced.

Absolutely wonderful home theater system. Very easy to setup. Sounds great. Had so much fun watching Dolby Atmos videos on YouTube and listening to the precision of each of the sounds. The room is really filled with sounds and they are easy to differentiate. Glad I purchased.

I bought thisc9.2.4 system in june 2019, I just did a firmware upgrade to version 3.3, what a huge improvement, it was good before, but now it is super good in every way, bass unbelievable, surround amazing. I have a full seperate system 7.1 Onkyo system 125w channel, sound is not even close to this system. Cheers
