So far - The sound is amazing, I am literally at a movie theater. Comparing this to say the Sony HT5000 - I feel the audio-codec may be great with the Sony, however dollar for dollar the amount of hardware you get Nakamichi and continuous firmware improvement makes it well worth the purchase. The sound is so loud and intense I cannot turn it up very loud otherwise it will actually rumble the entire house and make it sound like something is actually happening from a scene at the movies - like a gun shot scenario. Bottom line - this is a great buy, the only thing I will say is sometimes the sound can be a bit harsh but I believe adjusting the audio settings accordingly will assist with this. I will post more about this once I have tested further.

I researched several different soundbars. Many reviews kept mentioning this brand of sound bar which I have never heard of. I decided to give it a try and if I didn't like it it I would return it to BBY. After hooking everything up the entire family was blown away by how good this sounds. We only watch movies at about 25-30 volume for our large living room. I have gone up to volume 50 and it can get house shaking loud. The surround sound test hit each speaker around the room. We used youtube for surround test which was really enjoyable. The sound bar synced easily to our Sony Bravia 85 inch tv and we just use mainly the Firestick 4K control to adjust the volume. The firestick is plugged into the sound bar. Everything checks out good with this. I highly recommend you give the ultra a try. It does not dissapoint.

I have researched about every sound bar that offers dolby atmos and dtsx and ended deciding on purchasing the Nakamichi 9.2.4. And this sound system has not disappointed me yet. You feel the sound completely surrounding you, and not to forget to mention the two 10" subwoofers that will rattle the rafters. Lol I told my brother-in-law about it, so he came over to listen to my Nakamichi. Long story short, he went to BestBuy last week and ordered one for himself. Can't say more about it except if I could give it more than five stars, I would.

Excellent sound for the price! Setup is easy. Pick the right settings, e.g. room size, mode, etc., get the connections right, it produces amazing sound! I would prefer to not have silver color on the surround speakers, but who cares? I'll be listening, not staring at them!

Best surround sound I ever heard extreme bass sound shakes the whole room

The system is easy to use, sounds like a movie theater, and does everything you would want a big time surround system to do. Their customer service is amazing, the walk throughs and setups for all your devices make it simple to get the best sound possible. Love it!!!!!!

Im really happy with my new Sound System, this is a great Nakamichi 9.2.4 the sound is amazing and the two subwoofer xploding and shaking my whole apartment...the atmos and dtx are very good....I'm really love it....

I am currently building a home theater system and started with this because it was a cheaper solution. Since I have tried def tech and Klipsch and I’m not sure sending as much as I have I shouldn’t have just stayed with this. It’s at least 6k-8k to get like and kind quality. It does have some hiccups but very much easy to get over. The dual subs are amazing. I patched a set of bookshelf in on the back and used the manufacturer speakers as overheads and it had plenty of power to go. Would like to see a little more sub control though.

This is the first surround system I have had and I am happy with the purchase. I did not want to spend the money or try to wire up a true surround sound system. I find the Nakamichi extremely convenient. I love the double subwoofers and like that the surround sound speakers plug directly into them for power. I am no audiophile but I believe it sounds great. I really like the atmos and surround sound effects that I've heard sense having this system. It adds another fun element to the watching experience. I will say that my JBL 3.1 sounder with 10" wireless subwoofer that this replaced has great sound as well. It could be my imagination but I am not sure if the bass sounds on my JBL subwoofer don't sound better / more defined than this system. The JBL is only one subwoofer though. I feel like the Nakamichi's bass is kind of muffled or something. Not sure how to explain it exactly. I guess maybe they operate on different frequencies or something but the JBL seems to pick up on more variety of sounds where as the Nakamichi seems to be more for booms and thuds. I am also listening to each now in a different room set up so that could come into play with how I am hearing it.

Sounds awesome. The price point and what you get compared to all other brands is great. Major note, make sure to update the Firmware before finalizing your set up. It comes with Firmware 34 and the current firmware released is 35. It adds stereo settings which help when listening to music, it enables all speakers to work instead of just the main soundbar as it was in Firmware 34.

What more can I say, this is the best of the best. Really feels like a theater and you don't have to turn the volume up high. It rocks!

This Soundbar system is ridiculously awesome. It's clarity is amazing, along with the bass pounding that'll make your heart skip a beat. If you're looking for the perfect soundbar, THIS IS IT. No need to look any further.

I was looking for something shake my room with quality sound and after my purchase I can say this is it. Great sound, massive base and very good quality build. I had Samsung, LG & Boss sound system and I can say this is the best.

Great sound system and east to install and setup. Please note, the right surround speakers wire into the right subwoofer and same for the left speakers. They do not get wired back to the main soundbar.

Awesome sound. With the two 10inch subs it provides exactly the sound I'm looking for when watching an action packed movie...easy to setup and use...the surround sound it great..has if your put into the center of the action.

Best sound bar with really great sub woofers and surround speakers. The only part I did not like is the speakers are wired. If they were wireless, this would be the best in the market.

Surpasses movie theatre sound. Remote could be more responsive but the sound is too explosive to have any complaints. The doby atmos creates a canopy of sound effects over your head.... amazing

As an audio engineer I have high expectations for audio delivery equipment. I have used the large floor standing speakers for my home theater up until now. Sound-bars just couldn’t replicate the clear, powerful delivery of tower speakers in the past. WOW! This sound-bar could easily be priced higher and still worth it. I found Medium room, nine channel sounds best for my set up even though the room is larger. Bass on 7 and Treble on 5 gives a natural sound for voices in my set up, tweak it to your room and enjoy.
