I was skeptical durle to the difference in reviews ive been able to find but i pulled the trigger and am very pleased with my purchase! I vent from a Polk and Klipsch speaker system that included two 10" and two 12" subs but we moved into a smaller house and it was my turn to "sacrafice"! While no soundbar will produce the sound of an 11.4 system, this comes close enough for me and when im have the chance to watch a movie or play some music, this system shines! I have the sides and rears mounted to the ceiling which is unconventional for this system but it lease only two pieces "subs" using floor space with the bar on the wall under the screen! In the end, im satisfied at all volumes, can go wild with accurate sound when given permission and she is happy that im down to a couple square feet of floor space from around 14 square feet prior! In short, I fully endorse the Nakamichi Shockwave series and can vouch for the Ultra 9.2.4 eARC + SSE Max 1300 watt system! I did try the 1000w sytem that is the same series vut one version HD prior to the eARC + SSE and i wanted the latest sound and video pass through technology plus the extra 300 watt power bump! It was worth the extra coin for me. It is a big system for a soundbar but it blows any soundbar system ive heard out of the water! If you're on the fence, give it a try and you will not regret it! The first thing I noticed when i got the new system out of the box was that the whole system now has an all matte black finish and bronze logos which looks very sleek but most of all I was very impressed by the much improved look of the subwoofers and the new remote. On top of that the soundbar also has a new LED screen! First of all, I'm really happy with the new soundbar system and I think Nakamichi has really listened to their customers and made some dramatic enhancements to an already great system! Which is why I do want to first comment on a few slightly negative comments on the price upgrade that I have read already. I do understand that your comments are before you have experienced the new system and I do understand that for some people every bit of money can mean a lot but also you have to understand how much prices have gone up these days and how much this company has probably dumped into new research and algorithms and drivers and a new remote and more to actually do what people and customers had asked of them! So as a consumer here is a company that is doing what customers are asking! And yes the center channel is much more powerful much! And the bass and subs are louder and stronger! Most importantly I can tell they have a brand new audio algorithm into this thing and it makes it such an impressive upgrade! I would also think obviously new and more powrful drivers. I would totally recommend the new system first of all for sure as it took the place of the previous model and took my home theater to the next level (again). If you are undecided and came to my review, do yourself a favor and buy it and try it out as you will not regret it! Anyways, looking at the bass, the previous 9.2 was already the best option in the market but the new subs on the 9.2 eARC have blown me away and Im really happy. Bass is deeper, clearer, louder, more accurate, and it just hits harder, and I actually had to fix some of my wall art better after testing it out. The surround sound, ambient sound and algorithm they put into this has my surround sound going crazy around my room . It has way more sound going around the room like objects are flying all around my room literally about 70% more sound moving around and has taken my home theater experience to a completely different level! Rewatching Unbroken and Dunkirk and many more movies that I watched on my previous sound bars, I heard many new details that I really never knew existed and the directions of where the sound effects were moving towards were much clearer and way more directional. The part in the opening scene where the fighter jet flies from left to right felt so real as though I was in the cockpit. The explosions and gunfire felt much cleaner and harder on the new subwoofers like I was in a warzone and it got me more excited and tensed up I was loving it more than ever. I dont usually listen to music, but the music scenes I heard in my movies were so clear that it felt like I was actually in a concert, especially the vocals and everything sounds richer and more vibrant and much better than before. Music playback performance is definitely on another level as well. I would mostly think this is because of a new algorithm of how it reads and outputs sound and new drivers to do the work! The new remote is probably the best remote control I’ve seen in a surround system and many of you will probably want to know more so here are a few answers. Over the past couple years I’ve noticed that some owners have had to point their remotes at a certain angle towards the bar to get it to respond. With the new remote, there is a significantly larger glossy area for the sensor at the top of the remote and I can now control the soundbar even from the corners of my living room. The responsiveness is much improved as well. Also, the new remote has larger buttons with colors making the controls more instantly recognizable without having to scan through all the buttons to find the right one. Feels more modern with larger buttons and brighter and cleaner backlit keys, making it more user-friendly. The backlit keys are also brighter so controlling it in the dark is a breeze. I was blown away by all of the other reviews about this soundbar! Thats why I just had to buy a system for myself. It was very easy to set up. I had a few questions to ask about the remote, and when I called for answers, it went extremely well. The customer service and technical support is superior and second to none as far as product knowledge and professionalism. The soundbar and satellite speakers sound so fantastic that I expect to wake up and find it's all a dream. The system is both powerful and as clear as a bell with a super low bass level output. Honest! I've taken time to study other big name brand systems and read reviews before I bought mine. I bought and tried a number of the other high end soundbar sets. I highly recommend you buy this one above all others. I know you won't regret it because its the best by far!!!

Absolutely love this soundbar. I own several Samsung soundbars, but nothing compares to this system. The dual subwoofers make a huge difference, as well as the additional side speakers. Nakamichi also makes it very easy to set up, and their customer service is excellent. This is the only brand for spind equipment I will ever buy in the future. Nakamichi is leaps and bounds above everything else.

My honest review is that nakamichi is at the top when it comes to sound and bass. Playing a movie in Dolby Atmos is incredible on the system, but don't sleep on the delivery of how well the packaging is when i open the box the instructions were on top hook up was a breeze if you dont have this system stop hesitating go buy it.

I had a little trouble during set-up getting all the channels to connect and turn on. The instructions say to leave all the power disconnected until all of the components are connected. Which i didnt do. I set up the subs and soundbar first. It took me 2 days to mount the four surround speakers near the ceiling angled downward at the seating area. This basically makes all of my surround speakers height channels, and any Atmos coding simply adds a more enriching dynamic to the already wide and spacial sound. The subwoofers are NO JOKE! Think of it as bass in stereo. A truly balanced left and right experience for all the rumble and chest pounding. As we know, the surround speakers are powered by the subwoofers. The right sub powers the RIGHT-BACK & RIGHT SURROUND. Same story with the left sub and LEFT-BACK & LEFT SURROUND. The back speakers go equal to the seating area or behind it if possible. The surrounds go in between the seating area and the screen. The sound bar has angled tweeters on either end that fire sound not directly up but more angled towards the ceiling above and walls on the sides of the audience. Our movie room is a square 12 x 12 with 8 foot ceilings. No acoustic treatment. Just a living room. We switched from the ONN 5.1 surround sound soundbar with 2 rear speakers and a powered subwoofer, albeit the subwoofer driver was about 5.5" I was SUPREMELY IMPRESSED!! i would highly recommend that Wal-Mart soundbar over most high-end products that I've tested personally. Unfortunately there was no Atmos when i bought it. Like with the Nakamichi surrounds, i had the ONN surrounds mounted near the ceiling facing downwards to create a faux height effect which in turn made the room seem to be larger than it was. *NOTE* NAKAMICHI has a few suggested placements for your surround speakers and my design is NOT one of them, but it is incredibly effective. I'm still learning how to adjust all the different channels within the soundbar and also each of the surrounds. There is a subwoofer level control beside the volume level control. So here is the big question: I spent $2000 on this after tax, is it worth it? For a beginner system, no i think there are more user friendly systems to get started with. The new ONN atmos is a good option, and the Vizio Elevate i was looking at too. Alternatively check out the JBL Bar 1300X, Bar 1000, or Bar 9.1 LOTS of bang for your buck. LOTS of really cool features true wireless rechargeable surround speakers for one. Amazing bass, these systems pack the punch for sure. But for the more intermediate audio enthusiasts, i would boldly say YES! 100% BUT THIS. Set up is fun. Making adjustments to fine tune the sound is fun. Watching your favorite movies and hearing what you've never heard before in an energetic and engaging soundscape that pulls you into the film. The bass is on point and cinema quality. And if your room is my size, youll learn that its probably too small for this system because this MF gets LOUD!! Check on Klipsch's website and see how much a 9.2.4 Atmos speaker package will cost, plus the receiver, plus the power amplifier(s), plus ALL THOSE WIRES. Not saying i wouldnt take that route if i owned my home but for the price and convenience and performance and pure cinema from my couch, plus E-ARC, Bluetooth, AUX, Optical, USB, 3 HDMI 2.5 ports... after all the research over many months of visiting different Best Buy stores and checking Amazon and Watching youtube reviews on every soundbar imaginable, THIS IS THE ONE THAT TAKES THE BEST FROM ALL THE OTHERS AND COMBINES IT INTO ONE PACKAGE. Buy it. It may very well be the last home theater system you'll EVER need!!

This sound bar is absolutely phenomenal! Nakamichi is not a name brand you hear every day anymore, like Samsung, Sony and others but let me tell you with all honesty, this sound bar absolutely rocks. This is probably my favorite technology that I have purchased in the last decade. This sound bar is extremely loud, 113db. Much more volume than the average guy needs on a daily basis but it’s the quality of sound that’s equally as important. This sound bar gives you room filling, floor shaking, neighbor annoying, room pressurizing, 360 degree sound. Turning this sound bar up to 40 is nearly painful, i haven’t gone past 52 and this thing goes up to 100. Music quality is good on this sound bar and certainly will please you in the bass category. 2 subwoofers makes a huge difference in bass output compared to 1 subwoofer or no sub at all. Gaming is a complete joy. COD MW3 is explosions and gun fights are out of this world! Music quality is great on this sound bar if you play with the settings to bring out the best sound to your liking. This is not the most user friendly sound bar because it lacks an app and takes considerable more setup and room configuration than other completely wireless soundbars like the Samsung Q990C. I have owned both and the Samsung is good, but this Nakamichi sound bar outclasses the Samsung. Trust and believe the setup process and lack of an app of this sound bar is worth dealing with in order to get to what this sound bar does best, MOVIES IN DOLBY ATMOS. This sound bar absolutely excels at movies and TV shows in Dolby ATMOS. WOW! I no longer ask my wife or family if they’ve seen a movie. Now I ask if they’ve seen the movie in Dolby ATMOS, because if you haven’t seen and felt a movie in Dolby, you really have not seen it at all. When family comes over, I show off my system with these scenes. 1. The Tomorrow War, the battle on the stair case. 2. Top Gun Maverick. The big scene toward the end with 3 miracles and many missiles hitting the air strip. 3. Aqua Man. The opening scene where his mom battles in the house and the aquarium field trip scene. 4. The Dolby ATMOS Blu Ray that comes with the Sound bar. Guys, I absolutely love my sound bar and now seek out the best Dolby Atmos movies I can. After hearing the sound bar, my wife said “our movie area feels like being at the movies now.”

Very happy with Nacamichi. I bought initially Samsung which is in same price but it has one subwoofer two speakers. Nacamichi has two powerful subwoofers with four speakers. I setup with Sony VPL XW 5000 ES. Amazing.. getting movie theater feeling. The only one thing that four speakers are long wired not wireless. We have to connect left rare, back speaker to left subwoofer & right to right subwoofer. I hope in future Nacamichi upgrade like wireless. I put volume only 5 max 15 very loud & my neighbors (living in townhouses) requested me less volume. Strongly recommended Thanks Nacamichi.

Is the best system i ever heard besides inside theaters i was blown away when i test it the sound is so amazing now i enjoy watching a movie just like in a theater the system having 2 subwoofers is a game changer i own several home theaters systems that i collected during the years but this Nakamichi system is top of the line and the lighted buttons on the remote is a nice touch. I just had a little trouble syncing the subwoofers to the main soundbar but reading very carefully the instructions got it synced, you won't regret buying it, best purchase i had made

Best system ever.easy to set up and the sound is unbelievably. The bass shakes the house. Worth every penny. I would definitely by this again.

I just built a 2 person home theater in my new house. I put sound treatments on the walls, ceiling and floor, so I wanted to add a nice sound system. Ive had a couple audio recievers in the past and they were a constant pain. Crackling speakers, audio dropping, blown reciever.... The last couple years Ive just used soundbars. First Bose, then Sony and now Nakamichi. The set up and installation was quick and easy. The earc sound on my dolby atmos movies is pretty great. I actually find myself jump occasionally while watching horror movies (that hasnt happened in decades). Its probably more than I need for my little media sanctuary, but Im glad I bought it.

I am a relative newbie when it comes to home theater systems, but here goes anyway. The entire system is packed in one box which surprised me, total weight was 78 pounds which made it hard to handle due to its size. Would recommend manufacturer to split into 2 boxes. Even though the box looked a little beat up, the system was completely undamaged. Setup was fairly easy and straightforward. The 2 sub woofers are wireless but the surround speakers are wired to the sub woofers. The product comes with everything you need to mount speakers and soundbar to a wall and more than enough speaker wire to place them wherever you need them to go. As for performance, i am impressed. Loud and clear audio, heart thumping bass with the 2 subs. Im sure there's better systems out there but this one fit the bill for me. The remote is complicated for an old man like me but ive managed to figure out what I needed to know by looking at the manual. The real reason I bought it was to listen to my music and it delivers. Watched an action movie and was quite impressed. I would recommend this product to a friend.

I love this new soundbar system, Nakamichi knocked this one out of the park. It replaced a Bose lifestyle system I had purchased 18 years ago. This new replacement is even better than the Bose. Would recommend to anyone who likes great base and clear dialogue when watching movies. I haven’t even had to turn it up past 14, very clear and powerful.

This sound bar is THE Soundbar! I absoloutley love the sleek look of the speakers, subwoofers and soundbar itself! The sound quality is unmatched in the soundbar industry (as far as i know), and the bass response is insane! The only gripe i have is with the mounting of the surround speakers, the mounts they come with are very basic and dont allow for angular mounting. For the price point they could come with some better mounts; but they are cheap enough on amazon, so i just ordered some. Don't hesitate to give this soundbar a try, you will NOT regret it! I also would like to add that Nakamichi themselves as a company are totally awesome with their logistics! I had a small logistical issue with arrival and reached out to them and they fixed my problem quickly, courteously, and kindly!

So I’ve had this nakamachi eArch home system system and on my goodness! It sounds better than my local cinema hands down! I am based in the UK so cost me a lot in customs and duty charges to get it shipped to the Uk but it’s worth every penny! I always have a massive grin on my face whenever those subwoofers kick in on those explosive scenes! Don’t hesitate it! Just buy it! It’s amazing value for me! I have a proper 9.2 home cinema system before this and I will never look back

This system not only looks amazing but it is the equivalent in sound quality. The effect of the surround speakers are theatrical. We connect our Bluetooth devices and get excellent and clear sounding music with punchy bass. I highly recommend this set.

Lets start with what I replaces this with: Twin Infinity Reference 253 towers, reference RC263 & reference RS152 with a Denon AVR S730H! While this system sounds amazing, thundered my home, with the wife always asking to turn it down. My new Nakamichi 9.4.2 eArc beats the $3000 plus full retail of old system in every way imaginable. I was more than skeptical to say the least, when I purchased the newest 2022 Nakamichi 9.4.2 home theater sound system. Asking myself, how can a simple sound bar produce and far exceed the power of a receiver, twin tower, center speaker, and dual reference rear speakers? How can the sound get any better than what I am already hearing? I’ve only had this system hooked up for two days and have dialed in the EQ and familiarize myself with how it works. Not only is this far louder than my previous set up, it’s easily three times as loud. The Nakamichi is crisper, cleaner, louder, and more realistic in every single way I could possibly imagine than my previous system. I am so grateful that I took the time to read over 100 reviews and compare the 2019 model to the 2022 model on the Nakamichi website before I made the purchase. I happen to come across one review from someone who had purchased a 2019 and now owns the 2022 model. That review alone sealed the deal on the 2022 model. Locking it in on a black Friday deal is and probably will be the best gift I’ve given my family all year. We’ve now done away with giant, massive speakers, a bundle of speaker wires, receiver etc. I now have a simple sound bar, PS5 and Nividia Pro all plugged into my LG Oled 65” and it rules them all! Thank you Nakamichi for turning ALL my existing, top tier products and showing me their true potential! You have a customer for life!

Loving this monster of a sound system! Had the previous SSE model and gave that away for this upgrade. Performance for movies and music really improved immensely, much clearer dialog and MORE details can be heard. I rewatched my all time favorites like LOTR, edge of tomorrow, jurassic park and WOW, Im blown away with the surround effects and greater than ever bass that vibrates my whole living room. Love the new remote control too, the big buttons are perfect for my poor eyesight. Called customer support for some setup advice and they were extremely patient and helpful. Im sold. Couldnt be happier with my purchase!

I got the Upgrade from the original 9.2.4 and I definitely am telling all owners to upgrade its worth it and you gone hear it immediately…… But set it up completely meaning features before judging I set mine to 150hrz and put everything on Auto I got my treble all the way up and the surrounding speakers on 8 the subwoofer is so powerful I have it on 5 because it’s bass coming from all the speakers this time so to get better dialog set it to 5and everything will be clear …. Trust me !!!! I tried to upload my set up but it’s not working I’ll try again later ….. this is a MUST BUY !!!!!

Big clear sound with a small footprint. I'm used to tons of wires to hide and large speakers, the shockwafe has almost no wires for a clean setup. Lots of features but could be easier to use. An on-screen display on the TV or an app with a UI would be great, as it is the little blue screen on the sound bar is all you get. I'm impressed overall.
