It connected first time and worked, for about 3 days, then it disconnected. I purchased this NEW Nanit Plus bundle for $379 , i had it tested in the store, it connected and I could view the cam. I took it home, set it up and tested it again with my home network (modern router, 100Mb speeds, 20 ft away, 2.4Ghz) also using iphone 7. It connected first time and worked, for about 3 days, then it disconnected, and I was not able to reconnect the camera. The router showed the camera connected, and the APP showed both the router and the camera when I scanned using the APP. I tried re-installing, resetting camera. the worst part about this is, after I had tested it TWICE, i decided to fix it to the wall, later that week i had to take it down and it took a lot of paint with it. NOTE: this is the SECOND , NEW , Nanit that has failed in two weeks. I purchased the first through babylist. I have now purchased a owlet cam and am trialing that. ALL cameras which have wall fixing materials should instruct you to test them for a least a week before you make holes in your wall and stick things to paint. And these items should work right out of the box, all the claims of 'safe' and 'rest assured' are hollow sales pitch.

Does a good job at allowing wife and me to monitor our baby on our phones. Audio is decent, as is the video quality. Signal drops for a split second here and there. Shows temperature in the room but not sure how accurate it is. Often feels much colder than the Nanit reads. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase and would recommend it. Easy setup as well.

This is our second Nanit we love it so much. Once we realized it was covered by HSA funds, we went ahead and got a second camera for the play room and traveling. The picture quality is great, and I thought it was fine before I even realized I hadn't remove the protective film from the lens! The App is great and provides periodic tips and tricks based on the babies age and sleep quality. I haven't even gotten to the peace of mind that the breathing monitoring provided when we moved our daughter into her own room. I absolutely recommend this system to any parent!

Really love our Nanits! We already had a wall mounted version for our first son but, with the second baby on the way, we switched to this one as it seemed a bit more flexible, and with it on a Christmas sale, it seemed like a good time to buy it. I hooked it up with my current crib and we love it! The camera is awesome, it's super clear and not having to screw it into the wall like the other one, was helpful as we figure out the nursery layou. I have some other smart cameras - Arlo - and I'd say that Nanit is actually a little better picture quality. I also really like the sleep information, it's really cool seeing how long my son slept last night, and seeing when he woke up. Good stuff!

The nanit is the best gift I received for my baby. Im a new mother and wanted a monitor that would tack my baby's breathing and alert us if our baby's breathing was abnormal. The Nanit allowed us to see her breaths per minute while she slept. The Nanit also came with a swaddle that was so easy to get on and off the baby. The only was kur baby would sleep through the night was to be zipped up in the swaddle. For babies that don't like to be swaddled it also came with a chest band that simply velcros across the baby's chest. I have told everyone I know how great the Nanit is and how it has made being a new parent so much easier.

I won’t type much but this monitor is ahead of its time. The feature to allow background audio when your phone is off/or in use is invaluable. My child’s graduation loves the ability to see her sleeping and she’s in another state. You can control all features of external users that you chose to add. The video quality is second to none. Just buy it

We are expecting and we purchased this preemptively to set up the nursery. While testing it out we were amazed by the awesome the picture and sound quality. Unfortunately we accidentally started our Nanit Sleep monitoring trial while setting up the device. After a few minute call they gave us an extra 6 month to account for our mistake!! Amazing customer service.

Got this for my daughter and she and her fiance love it. Easily watch the baby while he's in his crib. Also monitor his rate of breathing and temperature of the room as well as any sounds. You must purchase the onesie for it to work. Would be more economical if the band could be used with anything.

Our 4 month old was diagnosed with sleep apnea. We weren’t getting good sleep at night because we were always worried that he would stop breathing. The nanit has alerts that will wake you out of a sleep if your baby stops breathing. We love having the camera mainly to monitor breathing.

This baby monitor is over the top. I love it. Set up wasn't bad at all. Just install the camera over the crib with the supplied mounting hardware. The camera it self can rotate vertically on the wall mount making it easy to adjust the video. Which by the way is very clear. Great video quality. It has two way audio so you can always hear your little one and talk back with them. Little to no delay when chatting over this camera. Also has the option to play sounds like birds, wind, waves & white noise. This is very handy getting baby use to hearing sounds when sleeping. In hopes to block out any sounds we may make when doing house chores. And you will find a built-in night light on the back of the camera facing up so when in use won't be shining on baby. The app is very easy to use and has a lot of different features. It's easy to share with others. So both the wife and I can check in when away from home. And also grandma who is 1000 miles away can open the app and see whats happening in the crib. This whole system travels well and is easy to set up on the go if you buy the floor stand mount. The app has night time mode so you can leave your phone open and its not to bright. There is just so much good going on with this monitor. Oh it has a temperature gage and humidity level. And the temperature gage is very accurate. When i have my nest room sensor right next to the camera the Nanit shows the actual temp about 5 to 10 minutes faster than the nest room sensor. After this time they both show the show but the Nanit is always there first. All in all I couldn't be happier with the piece of mind this product brings to our family.

So I’ve been using the Nanit system for over a year now. I first started using the breathing feature for my newborn, which I still think is a neat feature. But the app is not the greatest. Every time I used the app there would be a lot of buffering, I had to close out the app completely and relaunch it, every time. It got to be annoying but I figured I’d put up with it because I wanted to keep an eye on my newborns breathing. Fast forward a few months, and the app still buffers every single time unless I completely close the app and relaunch it, annoying but not the end of the world, as long as I can keep an eye on my little one. But now, more often times than not, when I go on the app to turn on/off the camera I get a troubleshooting error, saying my camera can’t connect. I emailed Nanit and did get a response fairly quickly. I did everything that they asked of me to try to fix the problem but it still wasn’t working. I was dealing with them since June- September to try to get the issue fixed because at this point the system is completely useless. After all the back and forth and them escalating the issue to a manager, the response I get from them is to buy another “upgraded” camera for an additional $150! I’ve already spent over $400 on the initial system, so I’m not wasting more money on this. If you’re looking into purchasing this system, just keep in mind that it’s pricey, you run the risk of it not working , and potentially having to spend even more money on additional equipment. I wish I would have not wasted all that money.

I just had my first baby girl and the Nanit Baby Monitoring System is such a useful device. I am very impressed with how accurate the video stream is, as well as the many other features. First off, the set up is very simple once you get everything plugged in, you download the Nanit app and set up the camera through the app. The Monitor system comes with 2 different stands, one that mounts to the wall above the baby’s crib, and the other is a tabletop stand that lets you take the camera with you. The system comes with a swaddle and a chest wrap for when your baby outgrows the swaddle. These have a checkered pattern printed on them, this allows for the camera to pick up the baby’s breathing pattern. The Camera has a built in nightlight, as well as two-way audio so that you can speak to your baby if needed. The camera can also tell you the temperature of the room as well as the humidity, so you know if your baby is comfortable or not. It is also equipped with motion and sound activation, that is very accurate and hasn’t missed one notification for me. Through the Nanit app is where you will be controlling all the functions. The app is very well designed and works like a charm every time. You can set timers, schedules, customize the notifications, turn on and off the night light, and view live video of your baby. The video is of very good quality too. It comes in at a crisp full 1080 with a birds eye view, so you can see the whole crib. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Nanit baby monitor system, my only gripe with the system is that it requires a subscription service after the 1 year free trial. I do appreciate that they give you 1 year, but for this kind of equipment, I don’t agree with charging a subscription for something that the product is intended to do on its own. I would be more understanding if they wanted to charge for new features or a software update, but I am not on board with a hefty subscription price. I think if they would go about that differently, then they will have a much more successful outcome with this product, as it really is a great product.
