Pricey product and im sure other lower cost options are just as good. We were set that we needed this only to learn if you want to use this for any of the added benefits you need to subscribe to pricey subscriptions. There are a couple different levels of subscriptions you will need. The product has issues picking up noises at times and can miss key activity...Poor customer service experience as well.

This is the 3rd baby camera we've used and the video quality on this is by far the best but it does have some quirks. I like that I get the notifications on motion/sound but i wish there was a way to turn them off (i.e. if i'm on a different wifi network they automatically shut off so I'm not getting them while i'm at work but can still see them if i go in to the app). I like the insights but I'm not sure they're worth paying for beyond the free trial since I could piece it together from the motion/sound alerts if i really want to (and so far it hasn't given me any huge insights into baby's sleep).

We love the Nanit! The picture and sound quality are incredible. It has an awesome HD camera with a real time feed. You can even turn off the video and just have the audio play through your phone. We love the humidity and temperature reading on the screen - it allowed us to alter our baby's room to his needs. We also love the nanit subscription service - we learned tips and tricks to get our guy sleeping through the night. If you do not use the subscription service, it's still a great monitor.

Overall, we’ve been very disappointed with this product. It’s meant to tell the temperature in the room, but that feature has never worked from day one (and i understand many other users have had the same problem). And 10 months into using the product, it suddenly stopped showing any analytics like how long our baby had been asleep and Nanit tried up upsell us to buy a package of another year of data analytics. The white noise also stops and starts randomly, which wakes our baby up when he’s sleeping. Customer service has been terrible (just a robot that sends links to unhelpful articles) and has never addressed any of these issues.

I have had several video monitors over the years but, none have checked all the boxes like the Nanit Plus. So when I was given this monitor in exchange for my honest review, I was excited. The Nanit Plus allows me and my husband to monitor my baby from our smartphones. Unlike many other video monitors, the signal is secure. I don’t have to worry about a stranger being able to watch my baby! An important feature for me was the two way talk. I can hear my baby and talk to her or soothe her with a lullaby without going into the room. An added feature is the room temperature and humidity monitor. The activity tracker app was fast to install and easy to use. I didn’t realize how useful it is to monitor my babies sleep pattern. I wish that I had purchased the floor stand because I can’t seem to find it sold separately. Mounting the camera above the crib was easy. However, I think the floor stand would give me a bit more viewing options. I would highly recommend the Nanit Plus and I have already told many of my friends how great it is.

I researched so heavily on baby monitors and when I came across this one I thought it would be perfect for peace of mind for a first time parent but not the case. The camera is constantly hot and feels like it's about to light on fire. App lags constantly and there's anywhere from a 1-2 minute delay, that's assuming that the App is working which it doesn't half the time, 1-2 minute late is all it could take for something to go wrong but this camera won't safe your baby. I know not to rely on technology 100% but at that price point you expect it to do what they guarantee it's supposed to. I work at a store that sells it. I will never recommend this and if I could get my money back I definitely would. I bought the stand and they got me hook, line and sinker to spend my money. Even with the adjustments you can make to tone things down a bit through the App it doesn't make a difference. I do not have slow internet or a outdated phone. I'm not sure why there seems to be so many glowing reviews unless they're fake and people are getting paid to write them. You'd be better off lighting your money on fire. Adding increased frustration to a already frustrating learning the in and outs of having a newborn. Zero responses to any bad reviews and here or just go to the Google play store if you don't believe my review and read the reviews others are writing for the Nanit App. Don't make the same mistake I did and look in a different direction. It's supposed to make parenting easier not the other way around...
