If you're not familiar with this film, be aware that it is one oddball kind of film. With that said, you will see characters that are enduring, and sweet. I find myself grinning every time I watch it. The disk looked fantastic. It has a commentary by the writer/director and the main star, which I have yet to listen to. It also has assorted other features like the "wedding at the cemetery". It comes with both Blu-ray and DVD discs. You can either view it widescreen or 4 x 3 on the Blu-ray, I'm not sure about the DVD. So if you're a fan of this film, I think you would enjoy purchasing this disk. I purchased it for I believe eight dollars at Best Buy. Which I think is a very good deal.

A very funny comedy at a great price - just $5.99!

Great movie if you have never seen it it's time...

No matter how many times I've watched this whacked-out trip to Idaho, there will always be some ridiculous visual or line or exchange that will send me over the edge. While sort of aping on Wes Anderson's style through-out, NAPOLEON is almost more of a spoof than a rip-off & contains a glowing core of good-feeling happiness, as opposed to disaffected emotional trauma as much of Mr. Anderson's flicks harbor. This gem came outta left field, and through a rare mega-burst of advertising (at least for a picture this small), it became a super-hit. A must-have for every movie collection. Peace out.

This movie still cracks me up every time. And my eleven-year-old son loved it for its randomness and meme-worthy bits (Vote for Pedro, Your Mom Goes to College, et al.). John Heder’s climactic “hip-hop” dance routine is still genius—better than you remember. The entire film is a kind of testament to the real dreams behind empty advertising promises of a better life through consumerism, and I’ll always love it for that.

Napoleon Dynamite will always be one of the funniest movies ever made. It's just so crazy, hilarious, and odd that you can't help, but laugh at this indie gem. The whole cast, especially Jon Gries as Uncle Rico, are unbelievably funny with their awkward sincerity. It's always hysterical, endless quotable, and constantly re-watchable.

Still holds up very well. Got to watch it with my 9 year old daughter (only 'inappropriate' part really is Uncle Rico selling his enhancements). Pretty goofy and awkward dialogue. She loved it, even though some of it was above her level of humor (some kids don't like the awkward exchanges and don't yet know the turmoil of High School...le sigh). Still great to pop in once in a while. I have a fondness for 80's school movies and this fits right in.

This is pretty much the best movie ever made. It changed my life forever. I will never be the same. Now I can chat online with hot babes all day. It's incredible. Seriously though, I quote lines from this movie all the time. In case you can't tell. Three thumbs up.

I had the other blu-ray version, but saw this one on the value rack with the liger slipcover, and I had to have it since I'm a huge fan of this film. It's the same blu-ray version, but with different print on the disc, and some other goodies including the DVD. If you get a chance you should watch it with your soul mate. Peace.

This is one of those "its so dumb, its funny" movies. Its also one of those movies that you yield to its humor the more you watch it. Give it a chance!

If you don't own this ultimate slacker/oddball/mouth breather classic, hurry to Best Buy and pick it up! It's just as funny and wacky today as when Napoleon, Pedro, Uncle Rico, Deb, Kip, LaFawnduh, Grandma Carlinda Dynamite and of course, Tina, first appeared in 2004. Remember, Vote for Pedro!

The first time I watched this was after so many people had told me how funny it was. I thought it looked stupid so when I finally did see it, I tried my hardest not to laugh. I think I lasted about two minutes. Some of the comedy is genius while some is really adolescent but still very funny. The visual humor can take a lot of the credit as well. If you love smart comedy that's presented in a brilliantly stupid way, this picture is for you. If you just take life a little too seriously, you may wanna pass on this one and choose one about Napoleon the French emperor.

I've owned the dvd version of Napoleon Dynamite for over 10 years and have finally decided to upgrade to the blu ray version, seeing as I've been trying to upgrade most of my dvds to Blu-ray. Very nice picture quality. Completely satisfied with my purchase.

Napoleon Dynamite is one of my favorite comedies of all time. The characters are hilarious, the actors are terrific, and the story is so random and ridiculous that you just have to keep watching.

Found this on sale for $5 and somehow I didn’t already own it on Blu ray, so I just had to grab it. This is one of the rare films from the early 2000’s that I would call a classic. Even if you don’t think it’s a classic, getting this one on sale for $5 is practically a steal!

its hard to believe, and i almost don't. a classic IMO, but its also a classic audience divider. so for those who love, is this anniversary edition worth much? on the whole, not really, but only if you already owned it. for those who didnt, you get far superior, and lovely packaging. nothing new feature wise, nothing new but the packaging, but the packaging is pretty flippin awesome.

This movie is just amazing, the most quirky and low budget movie of the BIG screen, this movie is a classic. If you don't owe a copy you are missing out. It's one of those movies you whole family will enjoy and it will be always nice to re watch it every year. Got it for pennies at best buy thanks to my reward points. Uncle Rico is tha man hahaha.

I had this moved ie on dvd when it came out. During the holidays it went on sale, so I had to buy the blu ray. I saw this movie the day it came out in theaters and we knew that we just saw a cult classic. If you collect movies, this is a must own.

Classic movie I laugh hard ever time I see it.Jon Heder plays this role perfectly, my lil step brother went to high school with The Hess brothers in Idaho, so seeing certain things in the movie reminds me of going to Idaho and visiting him.
