If anyone out there with an iPod that feels limited by iTunes now you have an alternative. Napster is DRM free and is downloaded as an MP3 so it can be loaded on to any device. Songs downloaded from iTunes can only be burned to a cd 7 times before it's locked out, here there is no limit. It takes a few extra steps to take it from Napster and move it into your iTunes software, but it's pretty easy to do. The sound quality is as good or higher than the iTunes bit rate. Plus you can stream music as well depending on what card you get.
I would recommend this to a friend

Napster prepaid card

I just purchased a prepaid napster card yesterday and I downloaded 9 songs into my mp3. I still have 6 songs left remaining to download but napster won't let me log in to the website and I'm getting no help from their customer service department. I will never use napster or buy a prepaid card again. I have a second napster card that I haven't used yet that I will be returning to Best Buy.
